  1. Looks like this is an old thread. But, I'm having a similar issue.

Trying to enter these dates in the timeline:

    NOA2: 2014-09-23

    NVC: 2015-01-26

I keep getting errors with these dates. Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :D

Is everything going well with your case now? What step of the process are you on now?

After talking to Tier 2 and starting a service request, I recently got an email like you got saying that they would take action within 60 days. I'm hoping that they find our case and get the case to NVC close to the number of days that it took for you (1/2/15-1/26/15 is 24 days instead of the 60 days that they say in the email).

  2. Your case is missing?? That's not right.

Do you think USCIS can resend your case to NVC?

The purpose of the USCIS Service Request is request USCIS to resend the case to NVC. I am hoping that they will find the case at USCIS and be able to resend it to NVC. I have been calling USCIS and NVC weeky (sometimes more often) and they always say that it's not in their system and that it was sent out (January 7, 2015). The USCIS person I talked to this week realized that 70+ days was too long to wait and let me talk to a Tier 2 person when I asked for that. The Tier 2 person submitted the Service Request to resend the case to NVC.

  3. You are on the right track. It may have been sent to nrc by 'mistake' although that is usually a csc thing not tsc.

Took me 4 months noa2 to nvc.

I'm not convinced that outside help speeds things in reality. It didn't for me. But it's good to make those contacts. Maybe they'll repair the system....some day.

Thank you for your encouragement. I think you are right about it possibly going to the wrong place. It seems that cases are occasionally missent to National Records Center (NRC) instead of National Visa Center (NVC).

I'm hoping that our case is found and at NVC by the 4 month mark which will be 2014-03-18.

  4. It has been 77 days since NOA2 and NVC still doesn't have our case. We are doing everything we can to get help in locating our case and we are now waiting to hear from the following people who are trying to help us:

    1) Senator Cruz

    2) Congresswoman Johnson

    3) Senator Cornyn

    4) nvcresearch@state.gov

    5) USCIS Service Request

    6) USCIS Ombudsman

It seems that either you are one of the 95% of the cases that easily pass from NOA2 to NVC in about 1 to 4 weeks, or you are one of the unlucky 5% of the cases that take 3 to 4 months from NOA2 to NVC, and that is only after getting help from someone to find your missing case. We seem to be in that unlucky 5% bunch, but I know we will eventually get through this and that it will be worth all of our time and patience when we are together again.

  5. Just an update...

I think we are the last of the July 2014 filers who are still waiting for NVC to receive our case from USCIS. :-( Is there anyone else still waiting to get their case to NVC? I hope not.

Now, we are waiting to hear from the following people who are trying to help us locate our case:

    1) Senator Cruz

    2) Congresswoman Johnson

    3) Senator Cornyn

    4) nvcresearch@state.gov

    5) USCIS Service Request

    6) USCIS Ombudsman

  6. Sorry to hear about your unfortunate turn of events. My Senator contacted me in about week since I initially contacted her. Just keep hope & faith, and keep thinking positive & praying. It is disappointing at first to be dealt this horrible news, but remain focused, it will all fall into place.

Thanks:) We sent the request through the senator's website. We might try to call senator if we dont get the senator's feedback after one week,

Hope u see your fiance soon:)

  7. Anyone know how long the congressman/senator will response you approximately?

Our NOA 2 is middle Dec(2014). USCIS website said the case was sent to NVC on Jan 7. We called NVC in early Feb, 2 agents of NVC said they received on 1/14/2015. However, we called again this week, now 2 ladies of NVC said our case is not in the system without case number.

(One lady of NVC just said, sometimes USCIS said they sent, but actually not.....asked us to wait. Two months after NOA 2.... All We could do is just wait!!? )

Now we are doing everything as this thread suggested to locate our case.

I couldn't sleep well since the terrible news from NVC.

  8. Update: Well, it seems like snowball, once the great news starts, its just keeps rolling in!!!! Last night, I decided to give the NVC a call at around 8:00 pm EST. I was just curious to see if we were assigned our NVC case #, so why not, what could it hurt. So, after being on hold for almost one hour, I finally got to speak with Gus. Gus was very, very helpful, took all my info, and then asked me what was my question, I asked him about a case #, and he said, yes, do you have a pencil ready!!!! I was like ALRIGHT!!!! So, we were assigned our NVC case #, he gave me our IIN #, and our BIN #. I also asked, how long of a wait should we expect before our documents are sent to the embassy, he told me that judging by his experience with other visas like ours, it should be sent out with "lightning quick speed", his exact words. He should it shouldn't be long before they send it and the embassy receives it. Finally!!!! What should've been done a couple months ago is finally happening now. Thank you God, and thank you to all my fellow VJer's and all the very helpful info & insight I gathered from everyone on here. If it wasn't for this specific messageboard, I would not have known what to do in order to get things moving again. Thank you to all, and God bless everyone in their journey towards the visa & a lifetime of happiness.

Great!!congrats!!! It should arrive in one or two weeks soon. So happy for you.

  9. 1. Do you have any proof that you have received the vaccinations required? List of required vaccinations is found here. If you have already been to your medical exam the doctor would go through this and make sure you have the vaccinations needed. if you don't have any documents of vaccination as a child or in school check with your doctor and/or school as they should have it in their records.

    2. Have you ever done something that resulted in a ban from getting a US Citizenship.

Hope this answers your questions :)

    thanks for the answer....:)

I havnt got medical exam yet, cuz we are still; waiting for the NVC case number:)

BTW - Vaccinations are not required for the K1 but they are for AOS. In our case the doc took care of the vaccines and updating vaccination record (it was included in the exam fee) so when Kevin arrives that will be part of his documentation so we can answer yes. As we know many things vary from consulate to consulate so always best to check your country's embassy info.

    That's good to know:)Thanks

  10. I'm sorry guys but I'm losing my mind for sure

we got NOA2 on December 2nd and USCIS shipped our case on December 5th to NVC

Today is January 28th and NVC hasn't received our case yet.

my fiancee has kept calling USCIS and NVC since December 20th twice a day and she always ended up with USCIS sent the file, NVC hasn't received the file.

she tried to see one of the officer of USCIS in Newark but they refused to meet her and they gave her an appointment on February 3rd, and last time she talked with tire 2 officer of USCIS he told her we ought to wait 90 days to put an inquiry.

it's a game now and the two players (USCIS and NVC) aren't in hurry to finish it.

I'm going crazy for sure to see all people of the same batch who got approved with us approaching their reunion with their lovers while we have to wait for weeks or months, God only knows.

it's the first case of Texas office which takes more than one month

    Congratulations all

    we are doomed.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you could get help at the appointment on Feb 3.

Our noa 2 was over a month ago, and we havent got NVC# yet so far. We called NVC last week, a lady said they got case on 1/14.....hope it's true.

And NVC did not work so many days this week(they r off this Mon, Tues, and before 3pm on Wed), I guess there wont have many cases done this week.

  11. Welcome to the forum.

:time: Your timeline indicates that you are seeking a "F-1" visa and your interviewing embassy is in Armenia? Is that correct?

:guides: easily accessible at the top of the forum page. In particular, the K1 Flowchart: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

Additionally the Dept. of State (DOS) Nonimmigrant K1 Fiance(e) Visa FAQs are quite informative: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/types/family/fiance-k-1.html

Good luck on your immigration journey.

oh oops I didnt save the correct embassy location. Thanks for the reminder. I had corrected it already.

I had checked the 2 links you provided....still feel lost.:)

  12. Hello, plz help me here,

After NOA2, we just got the case update as the following:

Case Was Sent To The Department of State

On January 7, 2015, we sent your case, Receipt Number SRCXXXXXXXX, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

As far as we know, NVC is a agent under Depart of State. However, I had read some VJ members said they had been waited for a long time to get NVC #,possibly their cases were wrongfully sent to Department of the State.

Could someone help me clear the question? thanks:)

  13. We had two RFE's at CSC and the second one was received at CSC on 10/24 and NOA2 was 10/27....the first one I received email notice on 9/30 and sent the response on 10/3 with CSC receiving on 10/7.....so it sounds like you may have another RFE coming. If that was all they needed you should have heard something by now....hope I am wrong though! Best of luck!

May I ask what are your 1st RFE and 2nd RFE about specifically? Thanks :goofy:
