  1. :crying: I don't even know if I'm posting this in the right forum but I need help. He was just diagnosed by his doctor in Canada as having stomach cancer and it is very possible it has already spread. I have been told to talk to my congressman's office and see if they can do anything. I am so scared. What do I do??? How do I approach them? What kind of questions do I ask them? Do I go in and beg them to have compassion on us and let him still come here asap?

He needs medical care but he can't get insurance here now b/c of pre-existing condition. BUT He has no one in Canada to take care of him. And he doesn't want anyone else to talke care of him but me in the first place. He NEEDS someone to be able to take him back and forth to the doctor appts and be there for and after surgery. Besides that fact, he needs me with him and I need to be able to take care of him. PERIOD. I can't bear the thought of being separated from him while he is so sick. We don't know how bad it is exactly and we don't know how long he has.

I can't sleep, I am barely eating. I can't stop crying. I am a nervous wreck and everytime I think about how he is feeling, being there alone and so, so sick I really start falling apart. He is the love of my life and I am the love of his life. We need to be together NOW. Oh please someone tell me what to do! :crying: Tell me how I can get help and get him here and get him medical care immediately. He has to have surgery and chemotherapy. That is all I know right now. :crying:

I have been praying and praying. I can't even talk to the congressman's office until tomorrow!! Stupid holiday today.

Please pray for us. Please. :crying:

  2. My co-sponsor's bank letter does not have an original signature of the bank clerk! She typed (evidently with a typewriter, because they apparently don't know how to type word documents on a computer) her name and her position (clerk) but she didn't even bother to hand sign it. Is this going to cause a problem?? I'm stressing over everything I know, but I feel like I can't afford not to worry over even small details. I really hope we don't have to worry about it because this could be hard for my co-sponsor to get at practically last minute. sigh.

  3. sigh. I don't know why I didn't think of this before but I'm getting ready to send out all the info to my fiance and I just realized something. I have a P.O. Box as well as my regular street address. I used the P.O. Box address for the I-129 form and that is where they have mailed the NOA1 and NOA2 . (I did this in case I ever had to move during this process)

Then when I filled out the affidavit of support, because it asked for "street and number" I put my regular street address down. Are they going to throw a fit about this because it's different than my 'mailing' address on the I-129? This is the original I-134 form that Montreal wants filled out by hand, and it has already been notarized.

I haven't moved or anything and they do have my actual street address on the back of the I-129 when it asked where my fiance will live when he moves to the U.S.

So, am I worrying for nothing or do I need to fill out another one with my P.O. Box and get it notarized A.S.A.P.? :(

  4. I'm trying to make copies of everything and put together all the stuff I need to send to my fiance for his interview in Montreal. I'm wondering, should I send him the original and a copy of the NOA2?? I wouldn't think that they need this but then again, I just want to make sure. Oh and should he also do a new letter of intent?

One more thing. All this info has to go to Toronto and it's going to be quite a large packet. What advice do you all have as to how to send it? I'm scared to death it will get lost in the mail. I'm figuring I should send it Fed Ex, I suppose? I've got three and a half weeks for it to get to him so it's not like it has to be rushed or anything but I want to send it so that it has a tracking number. I'd prefer for HIM to have to sign for it too.

Thanks in advance for the help.

  5. Hi all. I'm in the final stages of getting the info on my end gathered to send to my fiance to take with him to the interview. I need some advice on some things. First, I have a letter from my bank dated 8/14/06 because I thought he'd have his interview in September. Do you think this is still current enough or should I just see if they'll do an updated one for this month? Also, I don't know much about bank titles, but the girl that signed mine's title is "Senior Banker" Is this fine? I assume it will be ok. I just don't know if they're looking for a 'high ranked' bank person to sign the letter.

I'm probably over analyzing everything but I just want to have it all together and okay if I can help it.

The other thing is the evidence of our ongoing relationship. I'm sending about eight or so e-mails from the last 2 years and excerpts from chat conversations since November of 2005 through present as well as print outs from the chat log and voice chat log since November 2005 b/c that's as far back as my program has them archived. The chat and voice chat logs, alone show that we have talked almost every single day since November 2005. Is any of this overkill or should I just send it and not think another thing of it?

This is probably a stupid question but can I use metal paperclips to organize everything? I didn't know if this would cause an issue when he has to go through the metal detector the day of the interview.

Sorry. I know that's a lot of info but any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  6. ....it is not until October 26th!!!!! I'm glad he finally has a date but come on. Almost 4 months to the day later after he sent out packet 3????? That just sucks. sigh. Nothing I can do about it but it makes me angry and very bummed that we have had this stretched out for 4 months from packet 3. I think that is completely rediculous, especially when Meliss' packet 3 was only 7 days ahead of ours. I know. They apparently have no rhyme or reason to what they do. I just need to vent.

  7. When my fiance contacted the bank over the phone, he was told that they said it was impossible to go back a year and add the amounts deposited. He then went to the branch where he had opened the account to talk to a manager, waited for a hour or so and got the statement he needed.

I've read that some people did exactly what neptune did and it worked.

Well actually it's a credit union in her home town, which is probably part of the problem. They have probably never had this come up before, or it's so rare they have no idea what they're doing.

  8. My co-sponsor's bank officer is being a complete pain in the rear. She said they cannot give total year's deposits. I think it's more like she doesn't want to mess with it. Anyway, what do we do? If the co-sponsor gives all her bank statements for the last year showing all her deposits, withdraws and such, and her account numbers and so forth, I don't think she's comfortable with that. So does anyone have a suggestion on this? I need help ASAP :(

  9. My co-sponsor said that her bank will give her a letter stating when she opened her bank account and what her balance is now but said "there is no way we can list all the deposits" I know they obviously want to see the deposits in the last year. So now what? I don't know if she is going to want to give them copies of her bank statements showing everything coming and going and I don't think she should have to. What do we do about this problem?

I haven't talked to my bank yet so I have to see what they will and won't do for me as well.

  10. Hey, Cici. Keep us posted when you get your packet 4.

It's been really quiet on here lately. Doesn't seem to be that many K-1 people waiting for the interview letter that sent in their Packet 3's in June. My fiance sent his on June 28th.

I know we still may have another month or two before we even get it, according to Montreal, but who knows? Everything is always up in the air with this process.

  11. Yeah, I'd be interested in knowing the same thing. I was hoping my fiance would be able to get an interview early September but I guess there's no way that is going to happen. :( It's really depressing having to sit here and wait 3 or 4 months in limbo.

  12. Even though the checklist letter says to have all these things gathered before the fiance returns the checklist to the embassy, I know a lot of people do most things afterwards because of the waiting time for interviews. They'll probably be receiving his packet 3 this week.

He most likely won't get an interview until September or October, I'm assuming. So I'm wondering if my co-sponsor and I go ahead and do all these things and they're signed by the end of June are they going to consider them out-dated or would that be okay?

Also, on the letter from the employer when they state the salary, is it better to just put the annual salary which is listed on the I-134? Our co-sponsor said that each year she never knows exactly what her annual salary will be due to the fact that their hours vary from week to week and she thought it best to put her hourly wage. She still makes well over the guidelines regardless. I think it's a safer bet to put the annual that is listed on I-134. Would that be correct?

One more thing is that there is a slight possibility that somewhere before the interview date she may be changing jobs, but nothing is for certain at all at this point. Does that mean she'd have to do an all new I-134 and new employer letter. :(

Just trying to make sure we avoid any snags if at all possible.

  13. When we sent in our petition. We sent in letter stating that we intend to marry, etc. For the interview are they wanting one from each of us? Or does it matter as long as we both sign and date it?

  14. ...of the I-134 form, letter from employer and the bank do we need? It says in duplicate. I don't know if they mean one original and one copy. That would be my assumption but I don't want to assume anything. I didn't know if for some reason they need two originals.

Also, does anyone have any input on Question #7 on the affidavit? Did you guys leave all that stuff blank, put a zero, or put the amount on what you have in savings for line one?

Thanks for any help you can give.

  15. So on the assets you just left all the lines blank?

I didn't want to put zero when that's not true on the savings part and besides that, they'll have that info from the bank in the first place. However, I was afraid if I left them all blank they'd get upset with that.

I might just be overthinking everything but they're so particular about all of the forms and how they're completed I want to make my fiance's interview as painless as possible.
