    Well, the boy still hasn't called. He has flights to Chicago, at least I think unless it was changed, and from there he HAS to call me so I can book a ticket for him to Kansas City. Silly boy. (F) I have this feeling he'll call me from Chicago in the early morning hours, I'll be rush, rush, rush, and he'll beat me to Kansas City! :D

    Wherever he is, he will find his way to you....

    Woohoo Way to go YASI!!!! Woot Woot!! That means you should have an answer of some kind this week!! :thumbs: I wish they would hurry up with your case! It just doesn't make any sense why they are taking so long!! Hopefully something will come through sooooon!!!

    im bummed that i dont have time to read all the posts; but i just wanted to say hiiii to everyone and that i made it safely to Oran via Paris. we took the boat 23 hours!!!! but we have been here for about a week and it is just great. it took me a couple days to get used to everything; but now i feel completely at home ... except i dont know where anything is on this keyboard!!! our appointment to file our petition is on monday, so wish us luck!!! hopefully they will accept everything all at once... ill be back to update!! hope everyone is well!!!

    I would say either Pirates or Superman... Pirates is funny and interesting. There are parts that u have to translate... Superman, he already knows the story (probably)... the action and the special affects would be entertaining... I just don't know if u would like it...

    Geez, all this buzzin around about reunions... toss me more luck will ya?

    I thought I had read somewhere about the FBI being... big shock... backlogged regarding prints. Anyone know anything about it? (barfs) I don't want to wait anymore.

    ditto on both... send me some good luck too... FBI also told me they're backlogged... I don't care... keep things moving... there are people who are waiting FOREVER... :angry::blush:

    Got a reply to the email I sent to the consulate and they have received our petition on 8/5/06 :) i dont think it will be long now. i sent all the documents samir will need from me via DHL (costed me 140 dollars) and they will be there saturday. samir is ging to pick up his packet and go by DHL and pick up my documents and them schedule his physical. after all the waiting things are finally going our way :)

    Well, Ali went to Ankara and down to the embassy yesterday. They took the paperwork and his passport. They told him that if everything is in order after they review his documents he *should* get the visa in 2-3 days.... I have my fingers and my toes crossed :)

    I guess we should know in the next 2 days if he gets the visa...He has already reserved his ticket for Sept 1st, so if all goes well he will be here OMG in 22 days!! I just realized that is only 22 days OMG 22 days, and thats it? OMG

    I have asked him to send me a pic so I make sure I take the right guy home... yeash wouldn't that be something! :lol::lol::lol:

    I had better days... Ladies, I'm tired of this. I can't take this anymore. Wherever I call they keep saying you have to wait. God how long more.... I've been waiting for 16 months now... Please please let it go to the consulate... Oh God, I know his name has a false hit. I can't think of anything else. Please clear his name. let us be together.... :crying::crying:

    Please pray for us... I've been praying soooooo much... Like someone else said last week, my prayers work for others but not for me....

    Lifting my conditional green card

    8/03 - We were so happy to receive the approval letter from Vermont Immigration about lifting my condition without the interview.

    We made an Info Pass Appointment on Monday morning (08/07) to go to Immigration in Buffalo to process my new Alien Resident Card.

    Well, I'm attending a wedding tomorrow night. Lots of dancing (hopefully)... Love to dane. But the heels are going to kill my feet... have to see if I can sneak a pair of extra comfy shoes to the reception and hide them under our table... :lol::lol:

    On Sunday, my soon to be sister in-law's bridal shower... so I be busy this weekend, which is great... But I know I be thinking of him and wishing he was with me at the wedding. :( But life goes on and for now I'm willing to wait... I just hope soooooooooon.....

    BTW, some ladies and I had a plan to make Saturdays our praying day... We all pray on every Saturday that this process moves for everyone faster. Please pray with us... :D

    I'm sorry Yasi it's taking so long. I know it's frustrating and many other words that i can't even write here. I'm in the same boat here, just waiting a little less (13 months since i've filed). Take one day at a time, try to live your life (or pretend for your healt and wellbeing) like it's going as you want it to. My last 'deadline' was to see him by the end of summer, lol. Now i'm waiting till November. I know it's not something you wanted to do - wait, but you will get through and it will be all right, girl! I know it will, and i believe it too; same as for me. OK. I don't remember if i read if you got anyone else 'working' on your case like a Congress person or someone like that. Have you tried that? I know so far it's not helping my case, but who knows? Maybe it'll help.

    I keep everyone here on VJ in my prayers, so you're in them too.

    Thank you Tanya... I have contacted a congresswoman, Senator Boxer, emailed FBI, and called FBI yesterday. I was told they can't say since the checks are being done in Washington DC and they're back logged. I just have to wait.... I will keep trying to find a way.... Thanks for your prayers... You're in prayers as well. :yes:

    Wowwww that seems like such an unreasonably long delay you are having to endure.... I am really sorry.

    Yasi, I want so much to offer you some magical words of wisdom, but I just don't have any. All I can say to you is what I keep telling myself... at some point in time (and only God knows when) this part of the journey has to reach a conclusion.

    As I said in another thread, Mohammed reminded me to stop thinking about the visa and about "tomorrow" and to just be happy with eachother as we were before the whole visa nightmare began. I know it's so damn hard to put those dreams away. It's like cutting off an arm. But the dream remains, your love is real, and tomorrow always comes.

    I'm feeling you. I'm here to help if I can. Hugs.

    I know what you mean. It is very hard and the worry keeps getting in the way. Every morning I wake up the first thing that comes to my mind is when and how long more... when do I see him again. Sometimes I have no energy to think about it. I am mentally exhausted... BUT I still go on and pray that God takes me through this.

    Thank you. I had noticed something odd... a very *strange* comment (in my opinion) was left on my crisis thread that took all I had not to explode at, but I managed myself. I deserve a big fat cookie for that one.
