Howdy everyone
I have heard great things here and from other people about Lufthansa and I'm thinking that I'll book with them. After looking at their website and trying to figure out how it will be on the flight, I see that the first and business class have screens inset in the seats in front of each passenger with all sorts of entertainment, but I didn't see any mention about us poor economy class flyers. Does anyone have any experience with Lufthansa flying economy class?
Also, if the plane seems somewhat empty (please please please), do you have any advice for trying to get into business or first class after the plane is in flight??
Thanks
I flew w/ Lufthansa years ago... but I flew to Germany 3 times with United. In the economy section they have screens inserted in the seat in front of you. Just have to make sure the plane is a Boeing 777. The seats are pretty comfortable and leg room is not bad, I'm short though...
As for getting in business or first class after the plane is in flight, I don't know if that is possible. Hope someone else can answer that for you.
BTW, with united you could apply for a membership and accumulate miles, which you can use in future flights. Right now I have more than enough to get a free flight within the US.

With my luck, "the call" will come when I'm not home...
Jean, no negative thoughts...
It will come...

Good Idea Jean...
My sister offered to put him in their luggage when she was in Vienna couple of months ago with her husband... I said do it... PLEASE

I get twelve holidays, 4 weeks vacation, 22 sick days, the week between Christmas and New Years off, a pension plan that matches me 100%, cheap dental and health insurance and free tuition for me, my hubby and my kids.
Oh yeah? Well *my* company matches me infinity%, beat that!
We have staff meetings once/month and they give us Bertuccis pizza before each meeting!!
We have fresh fruit daily, lunch catered daily, and snacks as far as the eye can see. On Friday's we get pastries and bagels w/ cream cheese and smoked salmon.
Thats just the food perks
Sure... go ahead and brag... we poor people here are lucky if we're treated to a lunch once in a while...
I think if he could he make us bring our own toilet paper... I swear he buys the cheapest toilet paper available... and the guy owns 20 properties in Bay Area and Tahoe... one word "CHEAP"

Thanks, Yasi
That sucks! What kind of company do you work for? We don't get Veteran's day but we get all the other holidays including the day after Thanksgiving, July 3 or 5 (floating holiday), 1/2 days the Friday before Memorial and Labor Days, 1/2 day on Good Friday, etc. The company I work for is great..the ppl I work with..eh.
That’s nice... we only get Memorial day, 4th of July, labor day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and I think New Year... but no floating days or personal days... This is a private company. He owns residential and commercial properties. I've been here for almost 8 months and am one of the property accountants. From what I have gathered he doesn't have a good "name" in the industry.
Hoping to change jobs. But I really like my manager... she has been great to me and very helpful.
And oh, we don't have any sick days.

Congratulations and welcome

Hi,
It has been a while since I have posted on VJ and was wondering if anyone heard from Joyeann (USC) and Ali (Iran) ?
Last I heard, he was called back to Ankara after his AP-hopefully to pick up his visa...
Any news on them?
Joye, if you happen to pop in- Know that I am thinking of you and send you a BIG New York HUG !!!!
Rose
He got his visa back in late August or early September and came to US in September. She doesn't come around... or I haven't seen any of her posts.

Good day everyone...
Just got to work. It's a cold morning here @9:30. Didn't want to get out of the bed.
My company is cheap. We don't get a lot of Holidays off. I know most companies don’t take Veteran’s day as a holiday. But we didn't even have Memorial Day off. And any holiday we get (very few) like Thanksgiving if we don't work the day before or the day after, he won't pay us for the holiday.
Jean -- hope you fell better soon.
Doodle -- I'm with you I hate soggy cereals.
Moody -- that baby is so precious.
Back to work... well rather start work...
AOS filers - July 2008
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
I have a question... I filed AOS, EAD & AP for my husband back in July and received our NOA1 and Biometrics letter shortly after. He had his Biometrics on 8/2... How do you check to see your case was "touched"?
I have a log in with USCIS and am checking it everyday... the last date it shows anything done was 8/5... Does that mean the last time they "touched" our case was on 8/5 or is there another way to check?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Appreciate it...
