I am officially a US citizen. I passed my interview and took the oath today. I wish everyone all the best and thanks to all the members for their help!

hey: regarding taxes, I have printed the transcripts copy directly from IRS website for 2015-2018. Will there be any issue if its not an original printed copy mailed by IRS?

After the Oath go to the Dept of State Office and Apply for an Emergency Passport. They can issue the passport faster if they accept your reason

okay thanks for the advice. I will go for the oath and try to file for the passport with expedite service. 

Do I also need to talk any additional documents for the duration since I filed for my N-400? I filed in August 2018, so take from Sept 2018 till March 2019. If yes then what documents? 

Vacation, photos, bank account statements?

Passport processing is not necessarily available in that location. If you fill up your DS-11 form and take the photos, and copies of DL that should be sufficient.

I have another question: can we postpone the oath ceremony? I have heard that they either cancel or take away the green card on that day. 

I am traveling out of country in April for two weeks and I will have to cancel that trip if I have to wait for US passport and then apply for visit visa.

Hi there, 

I have my N-400 interview in the next couple of weeks at Newark, NJ location. My question is what documents should I carry with me besides the following:

The interview letter

My Green Card

My Passport

Marriage Certificate

Spouse's Passport 

Spouse's Birth certificate

Tax receipts for 2018

Does anyone know if the oath ceremony happens on the same day of the interview at Newark, NJ office? My interview is in three weeks. 

Also, what is the process of getting a US passport? Will they give it to us on the day of the oath ceremony or do we have to file for it after we get the certificate of naturalization?

Date of I-751 = The Date you sent your application.

NOA Date = The Receipt Date on youroriginal NOA letter.

Biometrics = The Date of your biometrics appointment.

Approved = The Date your case was approved.

Approval letter says 60 days to process card so you shouldn't have cause for concern - you should be getting any day. Are you subscribed to USPS Informed delivery? https://reg.usps.com/portal/login  You will receive emails letting you know what will be arriving each day?

 

The status' are not 100% accurate/up to date. DHS still shows Card In Process. Best of luck getting your new card!

Thanks, I received my card. I also received emails from USCIS when my card was mailed and delivered to my address.

I have an Indian passport but I resided in Canada for a while and moved (fiance visa) from there to the US. I am not sure where to change the country info but thanks for your help!

If you're Canadian, I don't know why you'd have to provide any of that to a Canadian immigration officer. 

I have Indian citizenship.

But is the extension letter still valid? My understanding is that the extension letter is valid until they make a decision on the case which they have now.

Edited to add: my wife was traveling when she received the 2nd extension letter. She used the first when she back to the US (since the 2nd was at home with me). She had no problems whatsoever with immigration when she came back here on Wednesday. They just asked her how long she had been out of the country, and commented how thin my wife's passport was. 

okay. What should I tell the Canadian visa officer? Should I show him the extension letter and the approval letter and tell him that my case is approved but I haven't received my new card? 

Will I get denied entry into Canada, If he sees in the approval letter that "says do not travel without your new card"?

yes, my ROC got approved and I have received the letter. I also got another notification that my card has been mailed but it won't be delivered until next week. I dont know what to do.
