  1. hello, im starting to familiarize the Adjustment of status process, but someone told me i would have a problem if theres no check on the US vaccination Complete in vaccination records given by slec.

so i keep browsing and someone advice me. that i just need to find a civil surgeon whos willing to transcribe my vaccination records.

im really confuse. coz some had check on complete box and some dont.

  2. Yes travel docs is accurate. Are using the correct information required to access your status. Reread my link. It gives you several ways to check.

Thanks greenbaum, your link is very helpful just received my visa yesterday...

now i have a second question.

would i worry since our first plan is to move to mainland but due to my fiances work, he cant leave guam (he works for the navy). so our address listed on where will i stay is mainland however we plan to get married first in guam and start the AOS process there as well.

  3. We hope so. Is there a case where they ask the applicant to do xray again after a negative sputum test?

We hope so. Is there a case where they ask the applicant to do xray again after a negative sputum test?

if they didnt instruct you on your pulmonary evaluation.. then you dont have to..

  4. No, the nurse told me that the end of my culture is on Nov. 19 and she asked me to call them on Nov. 23 at 11am if I did not hear from them before that date (and I pray everyday not to).

Patience is not one of my talent and it's really killing us right now. Hopefully it'll turn negative. Praying god will smile at out side.

well thats good sign, no further x ray.. im have a feeling youre negative as well, there are many applicants i knew who undergo sputum and pass.

just keep praying. and you can email them earlier than the given date to call..

  5. No. Just present it at your interview and if there are any questions from the CO during the interview, just say opps and answer that you had made a mistake. This is not a big deal as other before you have don't the same and were approved

big thanks, i appreciate the quick response..

  6. Get the embassy letter (http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/feb2015/K1-K2%20Applicant%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202015_.pdf)and follow it to the T for all needed documents. Nothing more and nothing less and you will glide right through the interview. Here is what the EL says about financial documents:

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form may be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You may also be asked to submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Download Form I-134 at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis.

thanks greenbaum. how about ds 160, i already made a new one, but i submitted the old ds 160 in slec, and i plan to submit updated ds 160 in usem. would it cause any problem?

  7. I just pass the sputum test (2 months delay) so im now preparing for interview documents. do i need to make a new ds 160 since the intended travel date i put in the last one was overdue.

in evidence of support, i just have the affidavit of support with 1040s 2012-2014? would this be enough ? i dont have W2 or any bank statement.

  8. Hi VJers,

Just wanted to post this and I hope it helps everybody else :)

    1. Interview appointment scheduled for 7:30 AM (didn't really get followed). Arrived at USEM at around 6:45 AM. Leave electronic devices at your hotel, your family member or take the risk and leave it with the people outside of USEM for a hefty fee.

    2. Line up outside by the tents. Prepare your passport (remove the jacket), appointment confirmation (first page only), DS-160 Confirmation (first page only).

    3. Security check - you can't bring in any kind of electronic devices and food.

    4. Line up and get your number stapled to your DS-160 confirmation.

    5. Wait for your number to be called by one of the IV Greeters (in orange shirts). This could take a while, I was waiting for more than 2 hours before my number was called. Be wary on where you are sitting down, the left side is for tourist visas, the right side is for fiance, and other IV applicants. There's a mini canteen at the middle and they charge quite a lot. I bought a beverage and to my amazement, it costs triple than its price outside.

    6. Once in the building, line up for Step 1 which includes checking of your personal information and they'll be getting the appointment letter.

    7. Step 2, finger print scanning. Prepare your DS-160 and your USEM interview letter. If the latter is not available, you need to have proof of your case number like a CEAC screenshot or just memorize it. Make sure you wash your hands, the gentleman in front of me was asked to wash his hands after eating some chips. Make sure your hands are really clean and sweat free. After which they'll inform you on which window to go to next.

    8. Line up for Step 3, this is where you get interviewed by a Filipino Consul. Prepare your NSO, CENOMAR, NBI Clearance, I-134 and 2014 Federal ITR of your fiance. Again, they'll sign on your DS-160.

    9. Step 3, oath taking. Line up and read the oath that is tacked beside the window. It could be in Ilocano, Tagalog, Visayan or in English. Again, make sure your hands are clean and sweat free as they'll be asking for your finger prints.

    10. Step 4, interview proper. Wooo! This is it, the interview with the American Consul. Mine was very nice and cheery and only asked 3 questions. Didn't even take a look at the evidence I prepared. Didn't look at anything I brought with me except for the DS-160. It was very fast, maybe 10 minutes.

    11. Step 5, releasing. This is where they'll inform you if you need to submit anything else (221G) or if its all ok to go. Mine was all ok to go and just informed me to wait for a text from 2GO if the Visa is ready to be picked up.

    APPROXIMATE TIME CONSUMED: 6 hours

Hello, i would like to ask if they didnt ask for W2, ? My fiance didnt send me any W2 i guess i only have the ITR. Do i really need to provide for W2?

  9. That is good news! :joy::joy:

Others have reported that SLEC is requiring the following: to bring her passport, 2 visa photos, appointment letter

(original & 1 photocopy) and SLEC official receipt.

I don't know if that is the official rule, but one person was turned away till she could produce these items. Good luck. Fill us in if this is true or false.

thanks greenbaum, i guess because i have provided all that documents needed during my 1st day thats why i was only ask to bring passport and receipt.

  10. Some people have had success calling a few days early. It's worth a try. By that time, chances are excellent that your result is negative for TB.

i didnt call but i did email, it was 2 days earlier than the scheduled date to call. the advantage of getting results early is getting vaccination scheduled early too.. im scheduled tomorrow for vaccination. yeppy! thanks God! Thanks to all who responded for all my queries.

  11. Today is my first day of test. There's a lot of people taking the test so they called us by number then lead us to the rooftop. Upon reaching the area I noticed that people are holding 2 kinds of paper..yellow and white. Yellow paper means this is ur first day to take the test. I met a girl who is in the last day of treatment (she was positive of Tb and is under treatment). I admire her for having a positive outlook in life. When my number was called I was categorize as A ( don't know what that means). The nurse lead me to a sink and askEd me to gargle water then gAve me a plastic bottle. After a few minutes I'm done.

I look at the people around me and some of them looks really healthy. I wouldn't suspect them to be taking sputum test when I see them outside.

    Hope things turn our well.

yep i have the same feeling during my first day!, talking to someone could really ease the worries. i emailed slec 2 days earlier than the scheduled date to call. and yess thanks GOD and MAMA MARY! i am scheduled for vaccination and releasing of medical results tomorrow.
