  1. Hi,

Im a bit confused now. It seems that I am not yet done with all the stress of this journey. I finished my DOT at Saint Lukes for 6 months last October and repeated my medical on Nov and it was all good. I had my interview at the embassy and was approved. I arrived here in the US last week and my port of entry is Chicago. The woman who handled my case at the Immi section was new and when she saw my packet, having the medical class b1. She called her supervisor bcoz she said it was her 1st time and the supervisor just told her to contact CDC which she did. Cdc officer came and checked my packet. She told me the medical result of the possible TB and I had to do a follow up check up at the state health dept. I was explaining to her that I already did the treatment but she was in a hurry to leave. She handed me my medical papers from saint lukes and another paper she gave where the state health dept address is. I have a friend who did dot as well and didnt encounter this. I know when you had sputum test at st lukes for 2 months and turn out negative, u will still have to do a follow up check up here. I havent heard of someone who actually finished the tb treatment already at slec have to do the follow up again. Its just stressful to think abt it since we live abt 3 hours drive to the state health dept. Any encounter? Thanks.

everyone who undergo sputum required to have follow up sputum. i wanna ask if your point of entry is guam? but me too undergo sputum eventhough it turnout negative. i still need to do follow up.

  2. 3 months!? That's incredible. Never mind then!

Do people actually send all that? I mean, my application was stacked and filled out to the T (I think) but I didn't include photo's or joint account stuff since we didn't have any of that from sending in our application so soon after getting married. Under what premise would you include photo's?

the facebook page had all the sources. and share all experiences and common RFEs. mostly now. its the medical but some get lucky... yep theres a list there and sample form where you can fill it up. theres also a site a female filipina blogger who post how she even arranged her papers. and other supporting docs.

its better to send everything you have than having the risk of rfe.

but also take note. some got theres approved without sending photos but just marriage certificate itself. it really depends on who process your paper i think. but i believe if you send more proof it would convince them more. .

i guess lets just pray it will be smooth process with no RFE ..

  3. I am actually hoping for an interview as you are likely to get your green card more quickly that way. From what I have read in many other threads, the main reason for an interview being cancelled is because that office is backlogged and can't fit in all the interviews it needs to and thus, your application will actually take longer due to said backlog.

i joined a group page in facebook. some got gc no interview no rfe in just 3 months.

My guess is how well you did your paperwork

i think your right. i think its if you send more evidence on how bonafide marriage you have. like photos, joint account, insurance etc.

  4. Hi, i just wanna ask if someone here have the same condition as me. i have abnormal x ray in st. luke but sputum result was negative. when i arrived here in the states i have to do follow up check up in the public health. i was ask to do skin test and x ray. skin test result was positive and x ray was abnormal. the doctor told me to retake x ray and it was still abnormal but still sputum is negative and i dont have any symptoms at all though she want me to do the treatment for 6-9months.. whew!!!!!!

now im in the process of my AOS. will this affect the process of my AOS?

  5. thanks guys. the health office told me that their civil surgeon just retired. so i was instructed that after all my x ray and skin test i could get vaccination there also and i have to pay $40 for all of that. and just go to a civil surgeon to just verify/transcribe my vaccination and no need to redo the test. i just have to inform the civil surgeon i got it all in the health office..

  6. Yes, you have to go to the public health office in Mangilao. My wife had to do the same thing when she came because of the sputum test. They will give you the test again and you have to go get an X-Ray at GMH. No big deal and it won't delay anything.

hey thanks sam.. what kind of test? and also do youre wife have to go to a civil surgeon for the vaccination?

  7. hi i would like to ask if i have any similar case around here. i arrived here in guam few days ago. and the immigration officer instruct me to visit a public health office and gave me the brown envelope (i guess its from st. luke). i read some had similiar case but it was there K2 who are positive in skin test. while in my case, i also undergo sputum test but result was negative. note that those k2 who have similar as mine all have guam as their POE.

  8. hi undergone sputum too and i passed. your case seem weird. i know there are some people who are called but to inform to call a week later then the first scheduled date to call. well if they didnt ask you to report immediately then assume that its negative. coz if its positive already they will ask them to report on an earlier date.. hope this helps

  9. Thanks Greenbaum! I feel better hearing that, I'm still stressed, but better. This whole process has been emotionally and financially exhausting, but she's worth it. Enjoy the weekend.

they usually ask your mothers name, mothers maiden name. divorce how many times, divorce reasons. and nationality of the ex wife/wives.

if divorce more than once she should be able to give all the reasons. and some strict trainor ask for divorce copy.

oh also informed her your educational attainment. coz some doesnt know. and your college course too.

  11. Biggest reason there are issues is because MANY adjudicators at USCIS don't know the actual requirements for the K-1 visa, thus want to see the I-693. And that is why I suggest to make a copy of page 4 of the I-485 instructions, highlight section 7c and attach it to the DS-3025.

Some choice to find a civil surgeon to transcribe the DS-3025 to the I-693 to appease the ignorant adjudicators. Your choice.

hank, is there any special instruction if you undergo sputum test in filing AOS? Thanks

yes hank. thats what my other friend advice me. she did that. she find a civil surgeon to transcribe her ds-3025 to the i-693.

big thanks hank. its getting clear now for me. so i guess finding a civil surgeon to transcribe it is much safer to do to surely avoid RFE. right?
