Hello everyone, I just checked ceac and AOS had changed to N/A. I called NVC and our case is complete.
Our last scan date was September 2nd. Thank you everyone for all your help. We're hopeful that we will be together by Christmas break.
I was part of the old NVC process. I hope their new procedure speeds up the process for everyone else so you don't have to deal with multiple 60 day waits. Best wishes.
Congrats!!! I am so excited for you.
Question when was your AOS scanned.
-
I wonder how it is for the cases like mine where everything was sent in together. The probably just got of the scan date and give or take 60 days. Since there is only one scan date to deal with.
I think they will go by the date scanned 60 days for sure maybe a little less but, with this ppl you never know. You may be lucky and get approved quick.
Cross fingers and when is your Scanned date?
-
I just got off the phone with NVC, I asked them that my AOS is scanned 9.3.14 & my IV 10.6.14 that if it takes 60 days for each? The lady said they may review both together and they might take 60 for each. It all depend on them.
What I have seen on each status that have been approved that they are taking two to 3 months to review everything from the date the AOS was scanned.
Praying to God that I and everyone receives answers quickly.

Yes! I can't believe we r still stuck at this stage. First two years of marriage people are the happiest and it was the opposite for us
I m praying this week brings some good news! Please Nvc!
P.S. We should take this convo to the ranting thread!
exactly how I feel this is the worst and my husband is from DR those ppl party everyday. at times like today I feel like giving up. and NVC and USCIS they need to put themselves in our shoes hire more ppl, do something because we are paying even before getting married.

How to deal with long distance relationship it's hard. I am almost done in my process and I want to give up. I didn't buy him to have someone different here. Please someone give me advice.

Nvc take forever and does y understsnd how families are separated. And problems that can happen long distance. It's not easy almost one year married and nothing and I don't know how much more I can take. You pay for everything and they still take long it's not fair. Sorry just venting

Hello!!
I have a question... I checked ceac website this morning and AOS changed to N/A scan date Aug 22. But I wanted to know more so I clicked on DS261 and now it says incomplete. But AOS still says N/A.
Do I have to submit the DS261 again? Because is says incomplete
Will I have to wait another 60 days?
Any one knows?[/
I called once and they told me not to go in there and change anything Bcuz it will save it to the current date. Call them on Monday and see if they can fix it for you

Ok this is funny! Now I spoke to a friend this week and NVC told her that they are not using scan dates anymore to approve. They are reviewing them and giving CC in batches of mail so it will be interesting if this is true or not. Hers took 45 days only because she received a checklist otherwise it would have been 30 days. And they are combining both packets not separately anymore.
I totally agree with you because Almost everyone I have read here they have been approved 2 months after the AOS date. My AOS date is 9.3.14.
My friend that went thru this same process got her checklist with her interview.

If nvc finds any errors or missing items in the documents they reviewed then you will receive an email (checklist) informing you that corrections are required. Typically you will need to send the corrections to nvc. Rarely will they give you a case complete and let you bring them to the interview.
Thanks

I hope you have sent in the checklist response already, since they have started reviewing packages together now; they will most likely review the checklist with your IV package. So there might be a good news sooner than you expected!
Please explain to me what is the checklist? is it something you have to take to the embassy?
please help
-
can someone please explain what is the AOS checklist? what documents do they require
thanks
-
Called NVC same 60 days story. Rep state now all documents are being review at same time from now on.(IV,A0S,DS260)Scan date 9/24. Woohoo today we have 30 days on waiting. Praying this NVC nightmare is over soon.
That's what I was thinking because almost everyone is getting approved from the AOS date.
Thanks so much for sharing info. My scan date is 9.5.14
-
our AOS checklist yet to bo reviewed.Scan date 2nd Sep
You and I have the same scan date for the AOS but, my IV scan date is 10.5.14 which I got a second letter with the 60 days. I am hoping they go by the AOS date.
-
No, it will not take 4 months. NVC is currently reviewing both packages at the same time. Count 60 days from the latest date so you have a realistic idea of when you will have a response/CC.
thanks for your response and yes that is what i am worried about. they received the aos on 9.5.14 and my IV on 10.6.14 which they sent me two letters saying it will take 60 days.
what i have noticed on a lot of ppl that shows dates received that its taking 60 days from when the AOS was received. hopefully and praying to God that it's like that.
-
Great... Glad they going by received date not opened date.
should I go by the AOS received? i received two letter with 60 days review. So my question is will it take 4 months to review everything?
-
I have a question is NVC taking 60 days from the day they scan the AOS? Because I received two letters one for the AOS & one for the IV that it takes 60 days each.
-
Case Complete today!!!
AOS scan date: August 14
IV scan date: September 15
Congrats!!! Are you requesting your spouse? I wish that i will receive an answer quickly.

Hi guys I am new to this and its very helpful. I seen ppl getting responses before the 60 days and I wish that will happen to me.
My husband is in DR and I want to get this over with I started everything in Jan 2014.
Affidavit Doc received 9.3.14 (which the 60 days are almost up)
IV application 10.6.14
I am hoping and crossing my finger that when they review the affidavit they review everything and complete my case.
Please let me know if that's happened to any of you.
