  1. Hi I don’t know Hyderabad (Andra/Telugana) state keeps the record. Our state started computer recordkeeping from 2011. There are no originals now all are computer generated…” all the certificates say this is to certify that the following was taken from register of marriage from this urban affairs office”. You are able to obtain certified copy the certificate from the office you registered. Just bring the one photocopy of the original to the office and ask them for another copy of the certificate. You might have to pay them to get it on the same day. Just make sure to get signature and stamp.

My spouse just showed her photocopy and they printed another certificate (black and white.. depends on your office.. some office have color printer) and the officer stamped and signed ..

  2. Congrats on your cc!!! :)Nvc is reviewing packages together now so your Iv got review with your AOS on 9/3 they are taking any where from 50 to 60 days to review.. hopefully they pick up the paste before the holiday, Any one know if they be close for one or two days for Thanksgiving?

I think most of the offices are closed for 2 days... They should start review checklist within 30 days...

  3. No

Current annual income is just that, the petitioner's CURRENT annual income. It's not based on previous year's. It's what is being made right NOW. If the petitioner is salary, then put their current salary, as of the filing of the form. If they're paid per hour, then calculate how much they're making right now per hour (hourly wage x hours worked per week x weeks worked in a year).

My friend just received a checklist for current annual income. They would like to see how he came up with the amount ... what I made last year was enough then its safer to list the same income.. will not get a checklist..

Do NVC sign for Fedex or express shipments ?

  4. We got checklisted for AOS. My hubby filled I-864 form.
Please correct the following in Part 6
[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.
    Any suggestions for this?
Also what to write in 'My current annual income is' in Part 6. Should it be a guess or last year's gross income or what it will be this year?

for current annual income list 2013 income (if it is sufficient) .. if you put different from last year you are required to provide documents for prove it.. you will definitely get another checklist

  5. Hey everyone

I have question my AOS scan was aug 15 and iv sep 26 and both got reviewed at same time and got checklist for AOS part 6 13a.1 as everybody getting here. So my question is can i request them to review before 60 days because its only that part they have to review otherthing is clear. So i can get early cc and interview dat as our anniversary is coming in January i want to be with him

Even for a line.. it will take 60 days :)

Quick Question... any one in NVC to sign for your documents? ... I am trying to send documents through express mail... should I put signature required ..

  6. Yeah, it sounds like they reviewed it. I submitted my DS-260 on October 1, and it was reviewed October 24 (we got a false checklist because of that). I don't think real checklists for DS-260 exist, you just correct anything before signing it the day of the interview. On the CEAC page however, it does say to contact NVC if you want to change anything. I'm not sure how that works.

How do I know if Supervisor reviewed my case ? ... Do I have to call and find out ? .. I think a member here got another checklist after sup review.. just received an email from AskNVC ... actually reply to my email dated Sept 22  ... Please submit the required visa application and/or civil documents

  7. hey everyone

howlong nvc can hold your case? cause my grandfather dosen't have birth certificate so i sent no record certificate from village where he born with all notirized and everything and 2 close relative affidavit that know him but they didnt accept it. so i put it for supervisor review and they told me it will take 42 days to review.

if they dont accept that than i have to submit new one and that certificate i have to take it from goverment office and will take 3 month to get it and then i can send it to nvc.

so are they gone hold my case until than? or everything will expired?

nop its fine you can change it at time of interview.

What type of case is this.. are you filing for your dad or one of your parents filing for their dad ? ... When he was born ?

  8. My wife recently received her Visa and will be coming to the USA soon. However, I noticed Visa does not show a middle name. Rather, it shows her middle name is part of her first name. Specifically, the visa shows a “Surname”, which is her last name, and a “Given Name”, which shows her first name and middle name. The Visa does not have a field for a middle name. When I went online to pay the $165 immigration fee, the instructions said to be sure to put her name exactly as it is shown on the visa and that if a middle name is not on the visa, then check “no middle name” on the form. Also, the first name field on the form has in parenthesis “Given Name.”

My question is, do all visa’s only have a field for a “surname” and “Given Name”, or did the Embassy make a mistake on my wife’s by not including a middle name? Does anyone from the Philippines have a visa that has a “middle name” field on it?

When you fill out DS-261/260, it specifically ask you enter applicant name from the passport.. In some countries middle names are added to given name .. and some added to the last name... if visa matches how it is in the passport.. then you shouldn't worry...

  9. At least I have all the right evidence needed

to show me and my sisters relationship (through birth certificate)

our tax transcripts and my tax copy (hard to get one for my sister)

    our passport copy's

    W2s

    job offer letter

    e.t.c.

    Petitioner complete I-864 (You)

    Joint Sponsor complete I-864 (Sister)

If your sister is filing joint tax.. then her husband need to fill out I-864 A... also if you can attach both of their W2s with tax returns..

There is no need to prove relationship... You need to provide proof that all the sponsors are USC/legal Alien...

  10. The Office of Civil Registry Vs. Census Bureau

    Hello All,

Can anyone offer any advice it would be greatly appreciated. On October 22, we received a checklist for a birth certificate and a divorcee decree/marriage termination for my spouse. The checklist stated we needed to submit the following: The document you submitted is not an original or certified copy of an original issued by the appropriate government authority. The document must be an original, or a certified copy of the original, bearing the original seal or stamp from the issuing authority.

The documents we submitted was a certified copy issued by the only office of Civil Registry in my spouse’s country and was also stamped as such, along with the English translation of course. I know it was not necessary but the document also had an Apostille seal. Unsure as to why we got this checklist I called the NVC to inquiry as to why. The CSR I spoke with at first did not make it very clear as to why we got a checklist, her question was “where was the document issued?” my answer, of course was the country of issuance, then she ask again where? My next answer was the town/capitol of that country. To get straight to the point the answer was supposed to be census bureau.

I explain to her that the documents were bearing the stamps from the office of Civil Registry, the stamps were very clear/noticeable. I did ask to speak with a supervisor & I was denied & asked why not. She explained to me that she will have to forward my case for a supervisor review. When asked how long will this take I got the “I don’t know.”

This may seem like a dumb question and my thinking is that they should be one in the same, but because the CSR said the documents should be issued by Census Bureau; and the documents actually bear the stamp from the Office of Civil Registry, is this not the same? The office of Civil Registry is the only office that issues these documents and stamps it as such. I called back the next day & again asked for a supervisor and was told none was available but I was assured my case was sent for supervisor review. I was also informed it could take up to 30 days to get a reply from a supervisor.

We waited 57 days (scan date was August 26) for a CC but instead, we get a checklist on October 22, now we are being told we have to wait up to 30 days just to get a reply. We are lost & unsure if or what the final result could possibly be and to have to wait up to 30 days to get a reply from a supervisor & then maybe another 60 days for whatever, is very disheartening.

Any advice, any help, anything at all will be appreciated.

    Thanks!

My Advice... It will take 1-4 weeks to finish Sup review.. the delay due to their workload...make sure which document you submitted..better submit the correct document before s/he touches your case...

  11. Congrats to all the case completes...

My case finished the supervisor review and the police certificate I sent in was from the wrong agency. I wasn't aware there was more than one in the Philippines. Anyway it took 9 days from when I received the checklist, that I was originally told by 2 operators and a supervisor not to worry it was just a reminder email, to have them look into it. Then come back and tell me it was from the wrong agency. The new 60 day wait is hard enough. Now it's an additional 9 days on top of that. Had I taken the first operator's word, who knows how much more time would have been lost. Or if the checklist email explained what the issue was, I wouldn't have lost the extra 9 days. The worst that could have happened is, when I got the checklist I just sent in the same document because at the time I didn't know it was the wrong one.

    So frustrated and angry..

Anyway my scan date was September 15 and since I got the checklist on the 20th, I would guess it was being or was about to be reviewed then.

How long your sup review took ?
