I used my family's address in the US and had them scan/email/mail me documents. Worked great for me

I also filed G325a and they never entered my information into their system, lost the form and then entered both my US and European address incorrectly into their system making me totally un-reachable. It took me a few weeks to sort it out - so g325a doesn't always work!

Neither did I. I think the only country currently receiving an expedite is The Philippines, but even then it's not consistent!

Hello to everyone in this thread! Glad that we are all here to help each other, but honestly I was hoping not to be joining the April NVC thread (as I have been joining these for the past 5 months and it is becoming a little disheartening). Hopefully I wont be joining the May thread as well!  Good luck to everyone and hope that we have CC soon!

Hi! We are also filing abroad and my husband is Croatian. I just wanted to forewarn you that getting the Croatian police report (for the NVC stage - the next set of paperwork) from abroad will be difficult and that he mght have to come to Croatia to get it. It is 2 pages - one from the court is Zagreb (someone else can get that if they have power of attorney, or it can be requested by mail but not sure if they'll send it abroad) and the other is from his local court (not sure if that can be taken by someone other than him). I have the Croatian names for the papers/courts if you need them. Just wanted to give you a heads up as we were delayed waiting for those papers

You won't need the police certificates or anything else until the next stage, 4 to 6 months from now. But it is good to be proactive and have your paperwork ready so that the process goes faster.

Oh, if your husband was born in Croatia, for the birth certificate he needs "izvadak iz matice rodenih" not "rodni list" (also for the next stage of paperwork).

We also had to wait forever to get police certificate (which in Croatia is actually 2 papers from 2 different agencies). I would wait and send all together WITH police certificate. You can wait 8 weeks for PC, then have 11 weeks processing at NVC.... or have 11 weeks processing at NVC, get a checklist fir the PC and then another 11 weeks processing... so 19 weeks waiting or 22 weeks waiting. They might not have a problem with you bringing PC to the interview, but I would call the NVC and ask!

yeah I feel the same way, probably it will better to send the police certificate to NVC, she already request one but it take up to 2 month in Cuba to get one, so it is to wait for it or send the papers without it and hoping they will allow us to bring it to the interview,
what did you sent for Pettioner's  Civil Documents?

Here is my opinion on that. My congressman has been helping since my first week at NVC. I know him personally so I asked for help right away. TBH, they cannot speed up or slow down your case. If there is a major problem they can help figure it out and untangle the red tape. The most helpful aspect of having a congressman's assistance is this: THEY CAN GET ANSWERS. There is a person at the NVC called a Congressional Liaison. They will answer your congressman's emails usually in the same day and give real honest answers about what is going on in your case and at the NVC. It has been immensely helpful to me (mainly because I am outside the US and calling NVC is a hassle) to have my congressman's office be the liaison between me and the NVC.

this thing is killing me!!!  I read that you have to put the AOS form and the supporting documents in one envelope and the IV supporting documents in another and then put both in one mail carrier big envelope and mail it.,
I am right? or I am totally lost?
