  1. But i have seen few people here taking their spouses to their interviews. I dont know it is advisable or not .. My wife and 1 year old daughter are both USCs. so i thinking to bring both of them. Atleast they wont be as doubtful about the relationship as they are in many cases. But i am still confused.

From previous posts I have seen that it doesn't make much difference. I don't think they allow the spouse in the interview room. Is your wife a US Citizen? They may not allow her to enter the embassy if she is not. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

  2. Take proof of your relationship with you. Original nikkah (urdu and english), letters, photos, emails, plane tickets, skype convos, etc. Try not to be nervous and answer all questions truthfully. If you are male, be prepared for the AP slip, but hopefully you will be approved.

Thanks for your advice. i am a male and already prepared for any worst scenario. I am planning to take my spouse with me on interview. Does it make any difference?

  3. so, did the Dr. confirm, when his final reports will come and when he can appear at interview?

Case was completed on January 5th and interview was on February 25but for medical reasons my husband didn't make it to the interview Dr. Said you can't attend the interview with out you medical reports his medical was on February 5 and the report we are waiting it takes months so we are almost there!
    It take two months
In his chest X-ray Dr. Saw something so they just want to confirm its not TB

  4. JUST CONFIRMED ON PHONE. MY CASE IS OFFICIALLY COMPLETED AT NVC. :wow:

    :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing:

Just to share my experience. I was checklisted in October and I sent the response to AOS checklist on 07 November but unfortunately they could not review the response within 60 days. When i called them they were unaware why my docs were not reviewed yet so they forwarded my case for supervisor review. After 90 days of scan date the supervisor reviewed it and sent me exactly the same checklist as first on .

They actually lost my AOS checklist response at mailing department and sent me again the same checklist on 06 Feburary. When i talked to supervisor again and again they forwarded my case for another supervisor review and requested mailing department to pull all of my documents on priority and finally completed my case on 13 February.

I would advice you people to not trust NVC reps on phone and always talk to supervisors if you face any issue specially if you are sure that you something correctly or they lost your valuable documents. Just keep insisting them to review again and again.

Additionally, I was scared that i left all Not Applicable column BLANK on AOS forms and would again get a checklist on that blank spaces like some people here were mentioning. But they did not mind my blank space :dancing: .

Finally i would like to thank Saylin for creating this useful forum and all members for sharing their experiences and making it so helpful for others.

Good Luck and a big hug to others who are in this queue.

  5. P.S. Re-dialing multiple times is a pain in the @$$! Never had to deal with that 5 years ago when I went through NVC. You dialed, you got through right away. No re-dialing necessary. I would have been done with my "testing" in like 10 minutes. Instead, took like half an hour due to having to re-dial so many times each time to get through :bonk:

    Dear Sylin,

I need your advice. My AOS checklist scan date was 07 Nov. I called after 60 days to ask about the status of my case. I dont know for what reason the rep forwarded my case to a supervisor for review with any initial review of this checklist. Now my case is pending a supervisor review. Whenever, i call them they says to wait for few more weeks.

DO you have any opinion or advice on this situation? Its now 75 days since my AOS checklist scan date. Please help.

  6. Not yet. its getting so frustated. I am calling them on daily basis but the same old story that they had few holidays. When i called on friday, someone i talked to forwarded my case for supervisor review on the basis that my case should have been reviewed within 60 days. I dont why did he forwarded my case to a supervisor before an initial case review?

:crying: Its already been 66 days since my AOS checklist scan date. This process is not understandable seriously. :ranting:
