Hello K1 visa applicants particularly those in Ghana. I am wondering how long it took for you to get to schedule an interview date. I hear there is a big backlog. Can anyone here from Ghana in this category give me an estimated interview date wait time.

You can't file for a k1 visa (finance visa) and be married. Unfortunately you will have to go back and file for a marriage application (CR-1) . The process starts all over again.

Hello, what are some of evidence that can be sent to USCIS when they request it for 129F finance visa. I know they will specifically ask what to bring but I haven't received the actual letter yet but I want to get a fair idea. Thank you. 

Hello, can you please tell me how long it took from filing ( date of receiving NOA1) to date of approval. I filled for my finance in Ghana as well and it's being processed at the California center . I just want to gauge how long it takes for approval.

I think they asked your wife for directions because they will send someone from the embassy to come and ask in your area if the marriage is really genuine.That is what they do sometimes in cases like this.

New York.came last year December.

I was given a blue slip with the type of visa (immigrant visa) checked on it and date to collect it.When you are given your appointment date you can let us know soo we give you some likely interview questions.since mine too was IR2.

If u re lucky and there's space you both might be scheduled in April.I know the wait can be very frustrating but it will come.My bro & I were also in IR2 category and lyk you I was very worked out but eventually it came.

If he got a case complete last week which I blv is February ending then u will receive an email notice like the middle of this month informing you both about your interview appointment for next month.but if the case complete was early this month then your appointment could be in May.I assume you have an email communication service with nvc because that's faster.

They schedule interviews according to the space available at the local embassy like Ghana embassy.And I think they want to schedule both u and your brother the same time.Dont worry you both won't age out and hopefully everything will be fine.Any moment from now u both could be scheduled.

Vermont has a receipt number starting with EAC soo that can also help u know whether that is the service center.Just check and see.

My case was filed in New York and my service center was Vermont.I think Vermont handles cases filed in New York.But why don't you jux ask him??

If he filed in Newyork then the service center is VERMONT SERVICE CENTER.

If he filed in NewYork then your service center is VERMONT SERVICE CENTER.

Most of the times you will get people on this platform saying u dont need a lawyer.If dat is the case what are immigration lawyers for??. From my own experience I know very good immigration lawyers help so u can let your petitioner hire one if u think that's what you need.Go with your guts..

That's what you think cos I personally called the embassy myself even after I sent them the additional documents but still didnt give me any update until I got a lawyer involved.He made them give me anoda interview date and was approved.But Heyyy dats jux my suggestion I'm not saying he should by all means do it.I wish them all the best of luck....

What I would advice you or the petitioner to do is to hire a very good US immigration lawyer.From experience they help a lot.Cos I was also given a 221g form and asked to provide additional documents and the embassy will contact me.Immediately after adding a good lawyer nd gave the documents I was approved in jux a month and I'm in Us.Soo plzz do that if u can.

I think you should hire a very good immigration lawyer in America soo he or she helps with ur case otherwise dis AP might take forever.Blv me from experience a good immigration lawyer can help.All the Best

So my cousin had a white 221g with pending DNA checked.Apparently the dna results was not received by embassy nd Co ask for her to send the results directly to embassy and wait for a call back.How soon will she get a call back after embassy receives the result??How will I also ensure that my dna gets to the embassy cos I also have an interview soon.
