Hello K1 visa applicants particularly those in Ghana. I am wondering how long it took for you to get to schedule an interview date. I hear there is a big backlog. Can anyone here from Ghana in this category give me an estimated interview date wait time.

You can't file for a k1 visa (finance visa) and be married. Unfortunately you will have to go back and file for a marriage application (CR-1) . The process starts all over again.

Hello, what are some of evidence that can be sent to USCIS when they request it for 129F finance visa. I know they will specifically ask what to bring but I haven't received the actual letter yet but I want to get a fair idea. Thank you. 

Hello, can you please tell me how long it took from filing ( date of receiving NOA1) to date of approval. I filled for my finance in Ghana as well and it's being processed at the California center . I just want to gauge how long it takes for approval.

I think they asked your wife for directions because they will send someone from the embassy to come and ask in your area if the marriage is really genuine.That is what they do sometimes in cases like this.

If he got a case complete last week which I blv is February ending then u will receive an email notice like the middle of this month informing you both about your interview appointment for next month.but if the case complete was early this month then your appointment could be in May.I assume you have an email communication service with nvc because that's faster.

They schedule interviews according to the space available at the local embassy like Ghana embassy.And I think they want to schedule both u and your brother the same time.Dont worry you both won't age out and hopefully everything will be fine.Any moment from now u both could be scheduled.

Vermont has a receipt number starting with EAC soo that can also help u know whether that is the service center.Just check and see.
