    thank you

    Oh wow rawas,

GRRRRRRR this really pisses my off to hear this. I am a Police Officer here in Cali and this is one of the worst call to go to is domestic violence calls. I am very sorry that an American is doing something like this.

First of all you need to go to the Police Department and make a report, this is a must. Because, in most cases, (95%) things and will get worst. I really hate to say and scare you.

Next when you have a report, then you have stronger grounds to stand on for the divorce. When I do see Americans bring partners from outside the country, they figured they can do whatever they want and then use the scare tactics as saying you will be shipped back if you say anything.

Remember you do not have to have any scars to make the report, every since the OJ Trail laws have changed.

Dont call the police and have them come to the house. Its better and easier if you go to the police station and make the report and ask for a female officer that speaks your language. It is easier to talk to them.

Please tell me you live in the Southern California area, it is easier in these Police Departments because they have a larger diversity of language officers. If not dont worry the police officer at any station must help you. If not make sure you get the officer's name and badge number and you can report them to the ACLU.

Dont worry and dont be afraid, no one will ship you back. This is one thing about America once you are here your have all the same rights as a US Citizen, regarding legal issues. Specially with violent crimes, or any crime against you.

Also be aware verbal and degrading comments is also a form of Domestic Violence the person does not have to physically hit you. If you are a male the same situation applies as if you were a female. Yes i also seen Domestic Violence happen to males from females and since the same sex marriage law had changed this is also and issue.

Dont worry the law is on your side.

I really hope this will help.

  2. Just Figured this out and I really hope it will give people a little peace at mind.

    If you wish to track your packet from NVC to the US Embassy these are the steps;

    1. Get your delivery date from the NVC when you get your Case Number. This date is very important if you wish to track delivery.

    2. Click on the DHL link http://www.dhl-usa.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

    3. Locate the track by Shippers Reference box

    4. You will see the Shipper´s Reference field, if your date from the NVC falls on a Monday you will put the prior Thursday date in this field area and if your date fell on a Friday just go back a couple of days and use that date. It will look like this (example: EXP 31 DEC 2014A). Now it is very important that you use capitol letters and you must put a space in between the “EXP” and the “31” and “DEC” “2014A”. Now you will notice there is not a space between the “2014” and the “A”

    5. Locate the Date range for shipment – From and in this first field is the “Day” and in this field you will go back 2 days from the date you had typed in the Shippers Reference Field, (example, the day will be 28 if you are using the example EXP 31 DEC 2014A).

    6. Next to the “Day Field” is the “Month” Field and in this field you will put the month, (example the 12 is for DEC).

    7. The next field is the Year Field and you put that year.

    8. Next step you will locate the “Date range for shipment – To and you will just add 8 days from the Date range for shipment – From

    9. There is no need to put anything else to these areas, just push “Track”.

    10. You notice all the different packets sent to different countries will populate in this area.

    11. Locate the “Show Alland press this link and it will give you more details of the items shipped. Now for security reasons it will not show the names on the packets themselves. It will just show the person signing for them.

    12. Now scroll down and locate your date that was provided by the NVC.

    13. Next locate the country of the US Embassy.

    14. Next you will see the in the same area a number on the right side with a plus (+) symbol and a number. This number is how many packets were sent out on your day.

    15. Press this link and a group of other numbers will appear and these are the tracking numbers for the packets. You have the option to copy and paste these set of numbers in the tracking field and that single packet will appear. Then you have the option to print this page and the bottom and save it. But, you have to be aware there are no names of the individual packets. You have to only go by the date that the NVC gave you.

I really hope this will help if so just press the up arrow at the bottom of this message. I am trying to collect points.

  3. Hi Lukus,

Im still at the waiting stages but from a few websites I found and detailed reading throughout this forum this is what to expect now...

The NVC will assign a case number starting with the code for your designated embassy (in your case Manila) and they will send it to Immigrant Visa Unit at the US Embassy in Manila. Once this office has received your K visa case from the National Visa Center, the Immigrant Visa Unit (IV Unit) will send you a packet 4 instruction including a checklist of required documents. Once you have completed gathering and completing the information and forms required and we have received the corresponding copies from you, the IV Unit will schedule your final visa interview.

Not sure what all the packet 4 asks for but go to this website to get an idea of what basic documents you will need for sure...

    http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/types/family/fiance-k-1.html#5

hope this helps you out some.

    bybbies,

Thank you for the information, we did get the Case Number and we did call the NVC and the case was forwarded to the Embassy they stated. We are just awaiting for the Instruction Packet. We did call the number of the Embassy and the number is a call center that will make your appointment for the interview. But we are still awaiting the Police Certificate from Hong Kong PD because this is where my fiance worked last.

That's good to know that we will have to wait for the instruction packet. Do you know where will they send the packet, will it be to me in the USA or her in Philippines.

    Thanks

  4. The children are part of the Fiancee visa, go to the guide in my link, click the USEM tab then scroll down to the embassy instructions letter, save that to your computer, read it more than once, use it for your checklist. There is lots of reading in that link.

    Thank you

  5. No problema...

Hank is the mang when it comes to the Philippines!

Review the DOS informative link I previously gave you. It gives a good overview of the whole K2 process.

    ~duplicate thread removed~

oh yes i do have that link in my favorite my fiance was getting worried. I am just making her feel at ease.

She love to worry, this why I love her so much

  6. Sorry, I thought you were past the USCIS phase.

No just one packet for your fiancee. For USCIS you list the children on the I-129F, there is a whole section for this.

oh yes I am past that, it just my fiance something and she was worried. We do have the kids on the i129f and the attorney did all that i was just tell here she was reading to deep into it. so basically we just so onto the US Embassy portion and then we just have to add the kids on a different type of visa and this is the K2 for children and K1 is for the fiance.

I was just trying to make my fiance more at ease because she was reading to deep into what she saw.

I really appreciate you guys returning messages so quickly.

  7. The process is the same for the K2 as the K1 with some minor differences relating to age. For details on the process in Manila follow the flashing arrow below, everything is listed there.

In the Philippines the mother has sole custody of the children, so nothing is needed from the father.

Ok I understand but will I need to submit a whole different packet to USCIS? Just like the i129F becasue in the i129F the kids are there.

    Thanks Hank_

  8. ~Moved from K1 Process to Phil. Regional Forum~

    ~Inquiry about specific K2 processes at USEM~

I would be glad to move it over to the Phil. Regional Forum for you.

Thank you for your service for our country.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

    OMG A&B,

I am sorry i just had copy and paste it not to long ago. I did apologized to anyone there if they did see the post before.

    Oopshorrified-smiley-emoticon.png did I do bad?

  9. Here is a link to some good general information about the K2 process at the interviewing embassy/consulate level: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/types/family/fiance-k-1.html

You may want to check in at the Phil. Regional Forum and inquire about any specific K2 requirements from the USEM: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/ One potential concern is to assure legal documentation for the "2 children from a previous relationship" to immigrate to the US, either from the Phil. court system, or the father. In our own case, my wife got a notarized letter from her son's father authorizing the son's US immigration. She had sole legal custody for greater than 8 years, and little contact for a number of years. The US government will not want to get into an international child custody issue.

    YMMV.

Good luck on your immigration issue.

    A&B,

I do understand that and yes she has all the documents from an Attorney regarding all this. They do not even have the fathers name because he had disappeared. The Birth Certs have my fiance name.

Thanks again so you think I can copy the same message and post it over there?

  10. baron555,

Thanks again for your help. This sight is very helpful. This is what I was hoping will be the answer, because the Attorney Katie Russell from Robert Brown LLC did not mention anything different but my fiance was so worried about the kids because they do not have any where to live in Philippines and i will not let her leave them there alone. No way.

    Thanks again,

"There's nothing worse than waiting and not knowing what'll happen to you. Your own imagination can be crueler than any other pain"

Please keep up with the good work with giving us a ease at mind.

  11. If the two children have immigration intentions, either to join with the mother or to follow later, they are added to the DS-160 online form she/you will fill out. Then they need medicals and visa fees paid just like the mother.

    Baron555,

Thank you very much for this. Yes the kids will come, but my fiance was reading stuff online that stated they will need to fill out a K2 visa and submit it to uscis. I was trying to let her know that was if we were going to petition the kids after her Visa was approved.

I am a Wounded Warrior in the hospital after I was injured overseas, and I am attempting to do allot of this, because before I was deployed I had paid an Attorney to do paper work and he had disappeared from me, and cannot locate him GRRRRR. But I did locate an attorney, Robert Brown LLC heard about my story and was willing to do all paper work Pro-Bono. They did it all, but I just like to ask other people advice.

Baron Thank you for the help.

This sight is great, I just keep forgetting how to get to add new topic, LMAO

  12. Another question and I hope someone can answer this question and maybe answer some questions for someone else.

My fiance has 2 children from a previous relationship, and the dad left the kids alone. My fiance and I have a child together and I am working on his USA Passport. My fiance's lovely children were added to the i129f and the i129f was approved, and the NVC approved the i129f and was submitted to the US Embassy in Manila.

Does anyone know what the next step will be, we are just worried about the children, do we need to submit different forms or is there a different procedure, because it appears everything is starting to move faster and we just want to be prepared.

    Thank you

  13. Friends

There is a mobile phone app that I use for redialing and it really helps.

In Google Play store search "Auto Redial" its the app with the red icon with phone in the middle.

I just run it and eventually it goes through after maybe 5-10 minutes. Beats hitting the redial button 100 times right?

I agree with Pheebs the best time for me is calling in the late evening. The operators are always friendly at NVC i find.

    Hope it helps friends.

I did speak with NVC today and they stated they did not have our packet at this time and to call back next week. Agent Ann was so very helpful and patient. I did get this in the mail is it a good sign?
