You should file I130 petition now. As under F2A category it will take maximum 2 years for your spouse to get an immigrant visa. And if you get lucky then it will take much shorter than two years.
These are the things we sent in our I130 package:

Form G-1145(e-Notification of Application) Form I-130 Evidence of my US permanent residential status (Green Card) Form G-325A completed and signed by the petitioner Two passport size photographs of the Petitioner Form G-325A completed and signed by the beneficiary Two passport size photographs of the beneficiary Copy of our marriage certificate. (Include both the copy of original one with the english translation) Two sworn affidavits from relatives about the bona fide marital relationship Copy of beneficiary passport (Though not needed we sent it along) Copy of beneficiary birth certificate (Though not needed we sent it along)
Our wedding photographs (6 ) Other photographs together over a period of time (6) Family photograph (2) Boarding pass from Air India for Trip to India to marry beneficiary Previous flight e-ticket receipt to India to meet beneficiary Some facebook messages between us Some excerpts of Gmail chat histories between us
Other information:
we also provided with our facebook id's.
You can send all of the above documents. The copy of beneficiary birth certificate and passport is not needed at the I130 petition stage. But we included that also.
