  1. Finally done with the whole immigration process - I am now a US Citizen as of yesterday, March 22, 2021. Had my oath taking ceremony at the USCIS field office in Tampa, FL. Here is my timeline:

    N-400

8/2/2020 - Submitted form and paid online

    12/14/2020 - Biometric Reuse notice

    1/4/2021 - Interview Notice

    2/23/2021 - Interview Schedule

    3/22/2021 - Oath Taking Ceremony

The ceremony was quick, and as mentioned by others before, no guests were allowed inside the ceremony hall. The whole affair lasted maybe 15-20 mins. Next up - updating my Social Security, applying for passport, and getting registered to vote! :)

  2. Hello! Happy to report I had my interview today too at the Tampa office and I passed 🥰 My online status now says Oath Ceremony will be scheduled.

We were outside in line before the interview  and they announced oath taking takes place in about 2 weeks or so.

The whole process went quicker than what I thought. Was probably there from arrival to end less than an hour. The officer only asked for me green card, passport and interview letter.

Just wonder how I track the USPS MAILS ?

Hope every one same my boat will get soon

You can download USPS mobile and it tells you which pieces of mail you are getting everyday. This is how I found out mine was on the way. Congrats!

  4. I got my greencard yesterday! Here is my complete timeline from submission to card delivery:

    1/25/2018 - ROC submission date

    1/29/2018 - NOA letter/12 mo extension

5/05/2018 - No new biometrics needed letter

    8/11/2018 - 18 mo extension letter

    2/28/2019 - Approval Notice/Letter

3/7/2019 - USPS picked up card for delivery (email notice)

3/8/2019 - Card delivered (email notice)

The old site was stuck on no new info status for a long time but updated as I was receiving the email notices. The new site never updated.

I'm with CSC. My case was not transferred, and I have not submitted any application for N-400.

I hope this helps those who are still waiting for approval. I suggest getting the informed delivery/USPS app. I got notice ahead of the emails that my card was being delivered :)

    Status did not change

  5. I got an email this morning saying there has been recent processing in my case. Card production. The new site didn’t reflect this but old site did. I was actually aware before I got the email because I have informed delivery tracking from the USPS app and yesterday it showed me the USCIS production facility in KY is about to send me something. I will update my timeline once I have the card.

  6. I just got my Approval Notice in the mail today! Notice date is 2/28/2019. It says I should receive my new GC in the mail within 60 days. Prior to this my status in the old and new site never changed (the old one said as of today no info etc) and new site just says we received your case as of January 29 2018). The status are still the same actually. No text or email notification either. I’m so happy! Was getting very anxious as I am traveling out of the country int eh summer.

  7. I think someone asked this earlier but I didn’t see the answer (or maybe I just missed it) so I’ll ask again here. For those of us still waiting to be approved, are we required to get our foreign passports stamped with I-551? I thought at first the 12/18 month extension letter was enough, or are we required to have both when traveling while waiting for the GC? I am going to the Philippines in July and hoping to get everything straight in case I don’t have an approval yet by then. Thanks!

  8. Thank you so much @Hank_ and @dynb for helping me out! I did email records-director@oca.dfa.gov.phand I was pleasantly surprised to see they do reply within the day :) Just a tip their reply may end up in your spam box where I found mine.

I have one more question: I noticed that I can order my marriage certificate via https://www.psaserbilis.com.ph OR https://nsohelpline.com. I think the NSO one only delivers in the Philippines. I am planning to have mine delivered to my mom's address in Manila...is it better to go with NSO or PSA Serbilis?

    Thank you!

  9. So I am trying to get a copy of my marriage certificate from ecensus online in the Philippines. Since I was married in the US, it requires me to provide the ffg:

    (1) REFERENCE NUMBER

    (2) DISPATCH NUMBER

    (3) DISPATCH DATE

    (4) TRANSMITTAL DATE

Which I understand can be obtained by calling the DFA. I tried calling all the numbers listed on their site but it wont work. Any one who has called before? Which # did you use? Thank you! :)

  10. Hi! Just a bit of background: I went through K1 in 2014, moved to the US and got married in 2015.

My Philippine passport expired a few months ago. On the Philippine embassy website, it says Married Females must also submit Original and One (1) photocopy of PSA Authenticated Marriage Contract on Security Paper or Report of Marriage.

Has anyone renewed their passport with no issues and just submitted the stamped Report Of Marriage sent back by the DFA? I don't have a copy of the Marriage contract yet and just have ROM, similar to the pic I attached here.  Hoping to get some insight on how the passport renewal process goes. Thanks everyone! :)

  11. Hi everyone! Haven't been here for ages. I have a question about renewing my Philippine passport. I got married in 2015, got my green card in 2016, and my Philippine passport is expiring in April. I need to have it renewed using my married name. I have checked the requirements on the PH Embassy website and while it sounds pretty straightforward, I was wondering if they might ask for other items too. Specifically, would they ask for a CEMAR from the Philippines? I have done the Report of Marriage (submitted to the PH Embassy in Washington) after our wedding.

Would love to hear your thoughts/experiences about this process. Thank you!

  12. Hi! Been a while since I posted here. Anyway, I would like to ask if you guys can recommned a reliable delivery service from Florida to Manila. I would prefer door to door because I have horror stories of my packages ending up in customs at the post office and the expensive fees they try to get from the reciepient ? I know we can use Fedex, UPS, but just want to see other options. Is LBC door to door? I'm not sure if they serve my are though (I am outside Tampa). It's a big box I am sending (mostly baby stuff).

    Thanks everyone ?

  13. Someone mentioned this before but it does seem like whoever is doing the EAD/AP approvals are not in sync with whoever is doing th AOS approvals...they're probably not talking to each other! :) I didn't get any updates at all about mine until I last week when I got notice I was approved and received my green card in the mail. Then last night my status for EAD and AP were both terminated, most likely because I already have my GC.

Like Amhara mentioned, I think as long as you have an interview scheduled then you are good. Good luck TandL and keep us posted :)
