  1. Hi everyone,

My husband arrived to Washington Dulles POE on Tuesday, June 23rd. The lines were super long and although the TSA and Customs people appeared to be treating everyone not so nicely, they treated my husband very kindly and gave him a "Welcome, Buddy!" when he went through. I am so happy he's here and now we're beginning our life together.

The process sucks so much and tests your patience, but when you finally see your loved one in the airport--jetlagged though they may be--you know it's worth it. Good luck everyone!

Congrats :) :), Every word you said is absolutely true, It's what we all waiting for hopefully inshallah our loved ones will be with us soon.

  2. You made me cry, thank you again for such lovely words and well wishes. I pray every day for all of you to not suffer what we are. It brings us great joy to know others have their Visa and will soon live a normal married life and continue to pray for those who are suffering and for ourselves to be removed from this endless nightmare. I will keep this thread up no matter what for as long as I can because there always seems to be someone that will need comfort in this process. God bless and help us all. :)(F) (L) (F)

  3. New update guys:-

    39 posts are running now.

Q: How long before you restore full system functionality?

    • We anticipate that the system will be fully reconnected this week. We plan to work over the weekend to clear our backlog.
    • As of noon today, 39 posts have been reconnected, representing more than two-thirds of the global nonimmigrant visa volume. All our servers appear to be stable.

    • There is a large backlog of cases to clear, but we have already made good progress. We will continue to bring additional posts online until connectivity with all posts is restored.

  5. hey guys,

they updated it finally yesterday, hopefully this is good news for all of us.

    now it says :--

Q: How long before you restore full system functionality?

    • Public and private sector experts are making progress in correcting the visa problem, and we are striving to have the system fully reconnected sometime this week.
    • As of noon today, 22 posts have been reconnected, representing about half of the global nonimmigrant visa volume. All our servers appear to be stable. There is a large backlog of cases to clear, but we have already made good progress. We will continue to bring additional posts online until connectivity with all posts is restored.
    • Overseas and domestic passports are being issued.
  6. Insha'Allah your husbands interview will go smoothly. My husband just had his on Wednesday, and it lasted hardly 5 minutes. As my husband said, it was quick and painless.

Thank you for the encouragement, personally I have so much faith and confidence that it will be great but my hubby is acting like its the end of the world that day lol. Hopefully ours will be like urs and im so happy to see people getting their passports back so quickly even with the whole delay stated in printing visas. The end is NEAARRR couldn't be more excited :)

  7. go to the Egyptian embassy they will ask for you finger print there, they will give it to you immediately same day, then u have to mail it to one of your family members which he will take it to this place in abasia cairo its called "edaret el mabahs al gena2ia" they will get it checked and stamped in a week he go pick it up again and send it to you by mail u pick it up and translate it then u mail it to you petitioner in the US.

by they way this is a personal experience. i did exactly the same

    Good luck.

  9. Congratulation Islamy and teamsami its really good news you really gave to us makes me hoping soon i will hear about my interview inshaa allah .. my case complete at 12 march my husband trying now to call them and im still waiting for the good news insha2 allah

you are welcome nernag no worries keep fighting you will hear so soon inshallah. keep calling the nvc don't give up.

  10. Just for your information Mahrousa, in worst case scenario you can reschedule the interview. I think they can postpone it for a month or so. I know that is not ideal situation, but just thought to let you know.

who do you call to know that they are still scheduling for MAY. Is it NVC or Embassy?

my wife calls the nvc to figure out which month , and yhi think mahrosa is having a difficult time with the case .

  11. We feel for you Maharosa and anxiously wait for you to get scheduled. I called today and was told they were definitely still scheduling May so that's good news...

It sucks to see the average waiting time go from 60 to 120ish days more recently! I wonder if it has to do with the extra work from Yemen. Does anyone know if there is any sort of priority for Egyptians over other countries at our embassy???

Wish there was more movement...the only interview I'm aware of for April is GeorgeW's sometime this week and they NEED to start scheduling Feb CCs!!!!

  12. Not In Egypt My Husband had my passport and the CO knew I was their.Petitioners are not allowed in.Did the petitioner come before ? how many visits? You have to look at it through the CO's eyes

Yes she has visited once before but she did stay a couple of months...I know that petitioners aren't allowed into the embassy, but I thought that bringing in her passport was a smart way to prove that shes here with me again! Looking through the the CO's eyes I think the CO would understand that the only reason she left was because of her work, we booked the return flight as soon as she landed back in the US before even petitioning, and we have TONS of other proof of a bonafide marriage. Thank you :)

  13. Yes but look at it through their eyes ...you know what I mean...But being there for support is great. Relax we are wishing you the best

I guess that I was looking to hear from people who may have had their wives visit only one time versus two, if that would make a difference. Putting myself in their shoes I know that a visit won't guarantee a visa, cases are so complex, but more than one visit would certainly be more proof of an ongoing relationship. Thank u for ur wishes...so kind :)
