Haha - I don't think I'll push my luck today. I figure I'll keep watching the CEAC webpage every now and again and then call tomorrow if I still see nothing. I'll take my chances with 1 phone call a day - if I can call in the am. I am certainly not calling now where it takes 40mins to get someone and they are already cranky and ready to bite someones head off!

Hi dear. Nothing here and haven't seen S&A running around as of yet. I called today and the guy said today or tomorrow so here's hoping he's right!

Okay - so freaked out and started doing research. We were correct in NOT filing a I864-A. Blerg...stomach churning is fading...

Let's see what we can scrounge up - we will literally need everything from the house to the beds, couches, everything when we get to the US - however I hate buying new and my husband hates buying used so thankfully he will be so focused on work that I'll be able to get my flea market deals in while he's out making the money
Sigh - as far as the checklists go I am quite worried because we DID NOT fill out the I864-A form, however we confirmed repeatedly because we aren't using his income nor any other member of the household (or co-sponsors) and ONLY assets of the petitioner (my husband) that we DID NOT need to fill out one. It's kinda strange because it clearly says on the form that we should not fill it out and to only fill it out if we are using the income of the petitioner or members of the household. Could be me just over thinking it but that is the only thing I can think of and the rep at NVC today said on the phone, "we will send an e-mail out to you..." I can't remember how he phrased it but now I'm wondering if he phrased it in a way to pull towards a checklist...gaaaah my overthinking brain...can't take these last moments!!

We just hit 1pm here - she goes from 8:30-12:00 and then again on Tuesdays from 1:30-3:00pm. So my little one goes and takes a nap and I get a whole whopping 1.5 hours to be by myself and do what mothers never do - sit on my big fat butt!
...and I usually don't even do that...I usually have to go scrub a toilet or two
Anyways, I got a very nice gentleman on the phone - first one in I do believe which made my day (no waiting)! - He gave me hope that it should hopefully be reviewed today or tomorrow. I'm not holding onto anything, but it's still positive news than the 60 day routine some reps are throwing out. Let's hope he's right (and it's a CC!)

Darn - I went to look at their timeline and saw that only a bit was filled out so wanted to make sure (and hope it wasn't a checklist) - I'm happy they are clearing out the checklists - don't get me wrong, but still would be hopeful that they start looking at the ones that have submitted their first round as well. I'm not going to call today - I've told myself let them have a good working day to perhaps get through to our dates. Tomorrow is my cleaning day so I am at home all day anyways and can call as soon as they open. I'm hoping to get Tod like I did last time who was super nice and hope he brings me a bit of luck!

Darn it. I was just about to call but then I decided to put down the phone and wait until tomorrow - I have a feeling nothing got done over the weekend so might as well give them the opportunity today to grab my file...Please oh please hurry and grab my file!!! (and while your at it complete Soloenta's too!!)

I have a feeling that we will get a wave of them over the weekend - it's what has happened the past few Fridays I've seen. Dead and then Saturday hits and we see about 3-5 CC's over the weekend from the delay on the computer. Really hope I'm right (although I hope I'm wrong and someone gets it today! Eeek!)

So after Pat got a CC I decided to scratch the itch and give a call...
Thankfully I got a great, very nice guy who was thankfully chatty (works to my advantage!) - He said that we should be looking at a next week CC if all goes well (and then he did go into the downer of it being the holidays and how everything sloooows way down during Christmas because they are way understaffed). He did let the little secret out that he'd been working there for 2 years now and that mine and apparently another Swissie whose applied for their green card were the first ones he'd seen from Switzerland. He said because there isn't a lot of requests for my country that can help speed process up as well since they don't have to go through tough background checks (sorry to all of you that do fit into that category...heart goes out to you!!).
Let's have hope he's right and his 2 year experience will work in our favor. I will seriously dance around my house for hours until I pass out when I see that big beautiful CC!!

Hahaha I LOOOOVE this meme! It clearly depicts exactly what I was doing today - thank goodness I am out of the house for most of the day so I won't have to troll around this forums and refreshing them to see if anyone has responded. It has been a super slooooow day which makes me sad but hopefully they are just combining a whole bunch of CC's to send out at the end of the week!!

Believe it or not I've followed everyone on the list before me and keep checking this forum to see if anyone messages about a CC. I think I seriously need or a CC...Hopefully the latter
I hate that Saylin's excel sheet isn't being utilized to it's full potential...with that I would never have to keep trolling around this place in search for the next CC.

Oh and just to add to my post (I really need to get off of here and clean my house!!):
- Family lives around the East Coast and that's primarily the reason for us moving. We can't take any more $3,000-4,000 flight bill for all of us jumping and seeing them. We are from the US and Americans drive to their family!!
- I hate the cold as well, but I'm well equipped with snow jackets to keep my tootsies warm - I even have one that I call the 'Eskimo' jacket - it goes all the way down to the my ankles!!
- As far as Checklists vs. actual submissions - here's my decoder on it: Checklists were 60 days plus another 60 days and I think their goal is to get the checklists down to only an additional 30 day wait - they are getting hit with tons of checklists and putting them under the pile of filers is just going to make them more backlogged, especially if its just a new AOS sheet that puts 2 instead of 1 down on the total family households. They want to bring the backlog down and the easiest way to do that is make sure that the new AOS papers are corrected only in the required area and push them along the way (which of course is what I want to happen in your case!!)

Haha sadly I have two children that take up most of my cash that's in the bank - living here ain't no joke - it's waaaay over priced and to do any 'extra-curricular' activities with the kids...well...needless to say there goes any money for mommy to go on her wild shopping sprees (and unfortunately most of my shopping sprees include new vaccum heads, more flour to bake the cookies to send to school, ect...)
I know I'd probably get an interview quick after the approval - I saw on here that it takes up to one month but I talked to a consulate official and he said that as soon as the approval from NVC comes then we should be able to get an interview scheduled pretty quick. I'm hoping no too too quick as we are going to do the medical with the vaccinations together as it will be double the amount to get vaccinations done separately (see we are cheap and living here!!)
Well my dear Solenta, there are many unfortunate 'really really REALLY' rich folks in the US that are trying to stash their money here because of the laws that prohibit the US from knowing how much US money is in the accounts. Apparently if you make a certain amount and are not living in Switzerland you can get full amnesty for just throwing your money here...and trust me, there are a lot of 'personal' banks that are here where money is still being siphoned away. You know US, gotta make that money before another economic slump hits (i.e. when Obama gets shoo'ed outta office).
I'm glad you called for all of us. I just didn't want to seem eager and as it's only my 46th day. I think at 50 I'll give up the act and just call and then tell myself I told you so when they tell me to wait. I'd love to see how they would react if the reps were told that they have to wait 60 minutes when they really had to pee. Some would in fact pee themselves and then we could sit back and tell them "well that's kinda how we feel!" lol.

Good Morning fellow scan date'ers!
So there is only me on this thread with Switzerland being the country - so hopefully they will get me in to the interview as quickly as possible!! I think the reviewer is probably looking at my papers going, "what the heck?? Switzerland" - Perhaps ol' Uncle Sam will get greedy and want to steal as much money from Switzerland as possible (after that whole problem with US wanting to know what US citizens have in Swiss bank accounts uproar)...We had to sign so many papers that stated when I left here I would have to close down everything connected to Swiss accounts and bring it with me (since US wants to tax foreign bank accounts)...little do they know I haven't much in there to tax anyways!!
I'm really tempted to call...even though I know they are only on the 14th of October. If I would have seen closer scan dates (original scan dates, not checklists) then I would be more keen on calling. I think at the current moment only chance I have at getting a good answer is getting that lovely lady I used to talk to every morning trying to figure out all the questions I needed to complete my paperwork - She always was so kind and I completely forgot her name!!
Anyways, I have a feeling they take the first few days of the week to review the paperwork and then start giving out CC's at the end of the week - I have seen this pattern go on for a couple of weeks now - it takes until around Wed or Thursday at the earliest to start hearing a wave of info from people that have had their papers scanned.
P.S. I'm on this thread, the other thread, FB, and I've been looking at a few outside sources as well to figure out where they are at the current moment...but not the Interview thread!! JC looks like you won the award!!

Haha sorry...I've been busy doing marketing stuff for my organization (fun, fun, fun) which means all I get to do is refresh the VJ website and look for responses. I haven't had the time to respond to both but I knew you were looking Jc (yes I'm shorting your screen name!) so I wanted to reply. Unfortunately nothing on FB as of yet. I'll keep trolling around but you guys will be up much longer than I will.

WHAAAAT?! No I didn't see the scan date of 21st - is that a checklist?? I've seen a couple that have had checklists but I think they are getting through checklists first and then going through the other submissions (because lets face it...we haven't waited as long as you guys have )
I will call tomorrow - today is a bit too late for me and phone lines will be super busy - I like to get them when they first start their day, the coffee has set in and they are a little bit forgiving with folks calling just for updates

Haha those are the people that are normally at my home town Wal-mart. I come from a very small town in WV where there is basically one Wal-mart and everyone flocks to it.

Haha, same with me!! I keep refreshing hoping to see something change, a new person getting a CC or figuring out where the heck NVC is at, what is their logic (which I still have no clue)...
However my husband just watches his shows and chills...has no clue how much I'm sweating on other side of this computer!!

Haha the magic 8 ball never lies I will wait for when this page will blown up with congrats and cheers...the days are close!! I pray that we all make it through and then one day when we are all settled in the US we'll meet up and have a party!!
I must admit - I have been nauseous all week thinking about these last days coming closer - I have even caught myself checking CEAC thinking by some great miracle they had really sped up (okay well I wasn't that hopeful that it would happen). I would ideally hope to get mine scheduled in January thanks to most people here giving up their citizenship and I'm trying to get one!! Buuuut only time will tell and at least we have each other to keep the posts running and keep our minds sane!

I just wanted to send out some hugs your way - The problem with NVC is that they have such a huge amount of paperwork that they seriously DO NOT have a reliable system set in place. The one hand has no clue what the other hand is doing and after reading so many different ways that this could turn out for each case, I have found myself feeling like this is more of a Russian Roulette sort of gamble - either you catch a lucky break and you get your case complete without any hiccups or your the mass of the other - which is irritable errors, lengthy delays (caused by who knows what) and constant call backs to the supervisors.
You really hope that you aren't part of the other group, but there is no way to stop it - I know that in the next week or so I will soon find out if I'm part of the 1st group or the second. I've learned through the short amount of time that I've been here is to cheer on the ones that have made it to the first group (because we are all a big group of the same boat people - trying to reunite with our loved ones in one location) or be a support thread for either yourself or the others who have unfortunately made it the second group.
I pray that you guys get out fast...On the bright side of things newbie87, I have tracked a couple of weeks of how things progress and it seems like there is a hand full of CC's for a certain week and then another hand full gets their CC's over the weekend because of the delay with the system. I really hope you are apart of the hand full over the weekend.

I just wanted to point out that unfortunately Saylin's excel document that documents your visa progress has a huge gap between the end of September and then the end of October. No one with scan dates between the first two weeks of October are entered into her progress reports.
I have to promote her excel document - if you understand how to fill it out, then please do - When you are on this side of the computer, waiting for someone to get a CC or watching scan dates of fellow friends it's comforting to know that you can go to this excel document and really map out where NVC is at at the current moment. I'd rather be able to have a handy tool to look at than keep posting "What's the date NVC is on..." every time I sign onto the computer.
Perhaps this is just me, a gal who really likes data in her hands rather than in a jumbled mess of comments and helpful responses. Please, if you haven't filled out the form and understand the (easy) questions that she gives you, take a few minutes out to click the link at the beginning of this thread. You are not only helping out me, but plenty of others that utilize this data to figure out some sort of NVC sense.

No worries! I appreciate the honesty - I would hate to be blindsided by something that I had no clue they were going to factor into our approvals. Just got to have faith and pray that everything goes smoothly and when it doesn't, you have folks here to lift your spirits!
WHoa. That's crazy information. I really hope it's the full name and not just the first name as I would guarantee that they'd have a lot of AP's put in place (it is the most popular name in the world!). You would think these guys would have it down to a science after getting their security measures in place for so long. They should be able to decipher the ones who actually belong to this group and who doesn't. But I guess I'm not in their line of work and after this long piece of information I realize that I have no clue what goes on on the backside of this!! Makes a gals head spin!

Oh lovely - just another thing to get worried about! Hubby is of course the name that everyone loves to red flag! Hopefully with his amount of travels to the US for business sheer luck we'll get through...hopefully!
