If that is the culprit how come people have been rocketing through California in a couple of weeks? Is that because Obama hates our Fiances? But likes those of people at CSC? Are we going to bash him for the debacle at TSC or give him kudos for making sure some people get through super fast?
Its naive to see this in red and blue. Its just the normal incompetence you come to expect from these government-run bureaucracies. If the resources were allocated properly to K1s (spreading the load properly between CSC and TSC) then no one would be having to wait months like I did and this wouldn't be an issue on here. But in the end there just isn't votes in it to make sure this minor part of the system functions better.

Surely you do know all about the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, right?
Or about the 1996 Immigration Reform Act (that pretty much allowed deferred action) which was used all the way up until the time our current President took office.
Look, I'm not debating you on it being right or wrong, but you should know that Presidents can, have, and will continue to do the same exact things the current one is doing. The 1986 act to some estimates at the time gave amnesty to about 4 million individuals.
Immigration reform is unpopular, we certainly have known this for a long time now. The cynic in me knows not too much will change. If once all legal means to stop DAPA/DACA are exhausted (which hasn't happened yet but soon enough), let me know when the next President has enough courage to tell those families who have now been made legal that they can be un-made. Let us see the scenes of millions of sobbing people being forced back across the borders and tell me if a President or his/her party could politically survive it. Talking points and speeches sound sweet until they actually realize the problem and back away.
Our lives are political footballs to politicians, one way or another.
Does it make me mad that our lives take a back seat over those who came here illegally, or even those who come here in the temporary migrant worker program that Bush also loved to use (they get put in front too)? Yes, I am. You're right to also be angry, and I'm not disagreeing with you on that. But it won't be changing, no matter whom is in office.

You think the Republicans are going to change things?
They don't like immigrants at all. There isn't votes in helping engaged people bring in their foreign partners. The situation was as bad in the past under Republicans as Democrats and that isn't going to change. None of them care, don't fool yourself into thinking another guy is going to change things.

If I were you I would call USCIS to see if they have an update on your case. I see you have the VSC as your center and right now the VSC does not work on K1 visas... also a year in initial review is way too long! Maybe they lost your case? I really hope there is just some error and you'll be with your partner soon!

Same sex couple here as well. Both female.
We just go married and just filed my AOS for my permanent residency. My wife is the US citizen. We married here in California.
Quick advice, don't forget to include which state you guys are going to get married and if that state allows same sex marriage. We have compiled clippings of news and the law that states it is legal to marry in California. I have noticed some same sex couples weren't able to do that but got approved anyway. But you know what they say, better to be over prepared than under prepared.
My partner and i are willing to help incase you have questions.
    Good luck!!!

Same-sex couple (both females) right here! We've finished the process & got approved. My fiancée will be here in a month
The only thing that was different about our process was that as a same-sex couple when you are filing the i-129f you have to show the intent to marry and in what state you will marry in. This is just my opinion but there are some states where marriage equality is maybe there, or there for a few days and then gone..... I would stick to a state where it has been law for a good amount of time and hasn't changed.
Best of luck to you girls & let us know if you have any more questions!
