On Part 7 on the form, who's signature me or my wife? I'm looking at the sample forms on  I-751 online and showing my wife should sign there.

She can travel and enter the Americas with the combo card. Thats why they get issues a lot sooner that the GC.

yeah it can be tricky. I don't know if the school system is governed by different rules for individual institutions or it is set in stone from state to state... i would really read the institutions rules governing immigration. I've often found most people don't know what they are talking about unless it's within standard criteria.

I had similar issues here in Virginia. Without being a resident (domiciled) for one year in state you arent entitled to go without paying out of state tuition fees. Green card proves residency, so do utilities and other such evidence without green card. The loans side of things are tricky, but there's help for green card people's.

The weird thing is proving residence without actually being a permenant resident (uscis standard) vs actually living here seem to be two different things...

we showed them the stamp bio-metrics form copy of the I-797 that shows legal status is valid for a year from the date on that form.

As an aside you do not need to be a PR do go to school.

Are sure about that????? the University financial aid office is asking for it so she can get the full benefits to award to her.

but on October 1 2015 we sent all the documents to expedite for my wife green card because she need to show her college proof of permanent resident card so she can continue schooling. the University will not let her continue schooling without the green card by November 2 2015..

Later on that day on October 1 on the USCIS website message appeared below ,what does it mean ???? is my wife getting her green soon ????

On October 1, 2015, your request to have your case expedited, referral number MSC274xxxxxxxMSC, was completed.

My personal observation has been that it takes between 70-90days for EAD approval. Good luck!!!

after you finish your bio metrics , it still took 70- to 90 days to get your card????? or after USCIS received your EAD application forms?

USCIS also received mine on the 27th but I have yet to receive any e-notifications/texts in regards to an NOA1 being issued for receipt. The check that I sent for the AOS packets (K-1/K-2) has yet to be cashed. I'm sure they are just taking their sweet time but keep your head up and I hope both of us receive news this week.

We sent her's Feb,4 2015. Biometrics was March 5 and she got her EAD/AP card on April 16, so a little over 2 months.

Guys my fiancée receive her ssn card today.

there's a stamp on the card "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION"

does this mean she can work?

I read this on the SSA.GOV website...read below

(The second type of card shows your name and number and notes, “VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION.” We issue this type of card to people lawfully admitted to the United States on a temporary basis who have DHS authorization to work.)

That's 'DHS Verification'

and I suggest you go back and apply again, apply in VISA name.

Usually if you apply in MARRIED Name, this DHS Verification process is triggered.

Sometimes, when the clerk does a SAVE DB lookup, and the name is wrong or the A# is a typo, they send out for DHS Verification also.

Tick Tock, tempus fugit, and you've got past the 74 day window past the POE event, without a SSN.

I Strongly Recommend you get into SSA office today or tomorrow, grab a supervisor, ask for SAVE DB lookup in VISA Name and A#, and apply again.

Smells like a problem, at the moment, since you got this letter.

not if the SSA clerk was successful in using the SAVE DB lookup at their computer.

Usually, can get the number next day, go in person, ask, inquire.
