There's something on the CBSA website, under appeal I think. Didn't have to look recently.

Guys, I'm pretty much done. Santys brother was denied a visa for our wedding even though he showed a ton of evidence, and his mom will probably be denied, too. I feel like everything is falling apart for this, and I just don't even want to do it anymore. This whole thing is so unfair, and I'm so sick of this. My fiancé can't even have his own damn family at his wedding. #######!!!!! Literally in tears over all of this.

The NVC gave up after sending me 7 letters. Ridiculous they never sent you any.

I never got a letter from NVC either. Plus, no packet 3.... I emailed my packet 3 documents when the status said ready... and still no packet 4. I'm getting a little nervous as to why neither of us are not getting anything now

Did you ever ask for redress? It did help some clients of mine.

This is so disappointing. I was hoping after we married, I wouldn't have to worry about crossing the border anymore. Shame that an officer that may be in a bad mood that day can flag you for life.

Do we have to wait to get Packet 4 before we can schedule the interview?

I'm a little worried because we never received Packet 3 (but I did email the packet 3 documents in already), and I'm worried we won't get Packet 4 either.

My fiance tried to schedule his medical to get it over with and they wouldn't let him without an interview date.

Any word on if the consulate received your Packet 3 e-mail? I am itching to send mine off before actually receiving anything from them (electronic or otherwise) but am apprehensive to do so. Please keep us all updated!

Not surprised this happened after the horrible experience I had at the border when I was denied entry. Detained for 3 hours, made to feel like I was a criminal for wanting to stay for 6 weeks with my fiance. I understand I did/said things that would red flag me (I know this now, I didn't realize it at the time, I was just telling the truth), but they treated me like I was trying to smuggle 100 lbs of drugs up my bum. Now I'm flagged and have to pull over every time and wait in the immigration "office" for about 90 minutes. Needless to say, he comes to the US A LOT more than I go up north. The stress of going across the border is too much for me now.

The only bright spot was when I had to surrender myself back to the US side and the US officer was extremely nice to me and my fiance. I was a mess, uncontrollable crying. He took us to a room, gave me water, and helped me calm down. He's the one that gave us the first I-129f form and explained the K1 visa.

We were wondering this too. The majority of the posts/information I found said it wasn't a good idea, which doesn't make sense... he doesn't want to be unemployed while waiting for EAD, he WANTS to work, and by working for his Canadian employer, he's not displacing any Americans.

We decided instead of chancing it, that he'll just have a nice extended vacation. I'm already working on the Honey-Do list! haha

Is the USC allowed to go to the interview? I read that it was allowed before but I just read this on Montreal's website:

"Due to waiting room size, the large volume of applicants and the time required to screen consular clients, other accompanying persons cannot be admitted to the waiting room."

I put my fiance's 13 visits. Even the one day/night stay in NY when I was denied entry into Canada and we had to spend the night in upstate NY.

My question is, what comes next? Anyone currently going through Montreal who can offer a little insight of what to expect?

We're at Montreal but we haven't heard anything from them at all yet. I got the packet 3 PDF from the website and just emailed it yesterday. Hopefully, he'll get packet 4 soon. But I heard that Montreal is one of the slowest so we'll see!

That's great news! We never got our packet 3 from Montreal, but I found the PDF on the website and emailed the 3 requested documents today. I hope it doesn't make a difference that I emailed it from my email address and not my fiance's.

Does anyone know if they send packet 4 by email or snail mail and will it go to Jonathan in Canada or to me? Or does it depend on the embassy?

It's been 17 days and still no packet 3 but I have everything together to email. Checklist, scanned passport biographic page, DS160 confirmation page in PDFs.

Now this is probably a really stupid question.... but can I email it from my email address (I'm the petitioner) or does my fiance have to email it from his or doesn't it matter?

My fiance is coming here on a K1 visa. His employer wants to know if it's possible/legal for him to work remotely from the US for his Canadian company before he has his EAD. I've searched and searched but I can't find a solid answer.

I'm guessing it would be a no.

Quick question about the DS-160...

It asks me about upcoming travel plans, right? What the hell do I put here?! I have no upcoming travel plans to the US besides when it's finally time for me to join my fiancé there for good! Do I guesstimate? That doesn't seem proper. Haha. It won't let me skip it. HALP! I've Googled my little heart out! (I'm not a great Googler, I'll admit...)

We just put in a guesstimate. We weren't sure either since we don't know when he'll get his visa and once he does, he wants to give his job 3-4 weeks notice. I just put early september on our form

When calling the NVC, am I meant to be getting a "Thank you for calling the National Visa Centre! Because of the large number of calls we've been receiving, all of our customer service representatives are busy helping other customers. Please try again later...." recording? And then it disconnects. I haven't heard this "busy" signal everyones been mentioning, or is that it? Am I doing it right?! Hahaha. Now that it's more of an involved waiting game, I am convinced I'm going to screw it up somehow! Reassure me! Ahhhh! Hahaha.
