Ok so I did things a little backwards I submitted my Ds-160 before ever getting a packet 3 in fact I haven't received a packet 3, but I called this morning the Bogota, Colombia Consular line for information and they said they could schedule my interview, so they did and still no packet 3. am I supposed to get packet 4 now. my question is do I have to send actual documents to the embassy with packet three or will my fiancée just take the documents with her the day of the interview.

and interview appointment confirmation page to the medical appointment...

Therefore, I think her sequence was like...but it could be different in your country.

1. wait for Packet 3 from embassy

2. Submit DS-160 and send back P3 reply

3. Wait for Packet 4

4. Schedule interview

5. Schedule medical exam

6. Do medical exam & and pick up the med report later

7. Do interview

Helllo VJ members, I need some Help please, so I called the embassy number today to get information on my K1 petition and the person I spoke to said they were able to schedule my appointment on the phone so I went ahead and scheduled the appointment, the thing is I never received an appoint letter or the packet 3 with any instruction but the man at the embassy said I was ready and scheduled my appointment which is great, but now im confused because I don't know what packet 3 is, do i have to mail any documents to the embassy or will my fiancée have to take those in person like the I-134, also is the confirmation letter with the barcodes considered the interview letter. please any help will be much appreciated. My petition has been at the Bogota, Colombia embassy already two weeks and still no packet 3, my case on the ceac website says "ready" and last update 1/26/15 but still no packet 3 I have called a number I found online but they tell me they're only a call center that handles appointments for this embassy so they have no answer NVC has no answers either, I've sent like 6 emails to the embassy email for k1 visa help and still no answer,mis beginning to worry we want to schedule our interview but are stuck at the embassy

yea now that I looked at it the day that CEA replied to my email was 1/26/15 and that's the day it shows my status updated, but yea hopefully that's a good thing.

I'm also stuck and today I've noticed at the CEAC that my status update "READY" has different dates. Now that you mentioned it , makes sense that they may change the status date, because I've also email the embassy to inquiry about my fiance's interview.

I just hope that it changes because they're actually doing something....

My case also says ready, but we cant schedule our appointment until we get packet 3, its been a week since the embassy received my application and no sign of packet 3, my status update on ceac has said ready since 1/17/15 and now it says status updated on 1/26/15 I don't know what they updated it too it still says ready.

How long did it take you to received the packet 3 from the embassy, because without that I cant schedule the appointment for my fiancée, on the CEAC website my case status says "ready"

My stepson was approved on Dec.16/2014 all they wanted was a new pass port, since he turned 18 years old 2 days before the interview.I have not found a way to contact the Bogota Embassy by Phone yet. You only get machines, and E.M has not worked, no one is responding, they just keep changing the Date, from 16 Dec. to 20 Jan. to 28 Jan. on the CEAC website to say another 2 weeks,

but we have not received an appointment letter so we have not been able to schedule the appointment for the interview.

In the philipines, we dont need to wait for the packet 3 to arrived becuase we can just download it in the website...you check it in your country and see if you can download it too.

Have you contacted the embassy, what do they tell you?

I have not received any news either I haven't even received the letter from NVC saying my case was sent, if I don't call NVC I would've never found out, now we still haven't received the packet three and without we cant schedule our appointment. I called the embassy and they said everything was fine and it just hasn't been sent. so hopefully we can get packet 3 soon so we can schedule the interview because the anxiety is killing us.

My I-129F petition was received by the bogota embassy, but we have not received a packet three, how long should we wait before we worry it's been 5 days since the petition arrived at bogota on the ceac.state.gov website our case status is listed as "ready" can somebody please tell me how long it takes to get this packet 3 and what it actually is packet 3

Could be a glitch, give it like 2 business days and check again. DHL is very quick in reaching the destination. I think our was updated to "Ready" within like 2 days

Well I received an email and a phone call from my congressmans assistant saying they spoke to Uscis and that they were going to forward my petition to a supervisor and three days later I got my approval email

Thanks for this! Do you know what your senator/congressman did? We spoke to ours a few times over the past month and they say they cant really do anything despite my insistence that we have read stories on here that they can.

Thank you I did that yesterday and it said "in transit" and I checked this morning at now it says "at NVC" so I called NVC and they told me in fact my petition was sent to the embassy, so I don't know why it says at NVC

Go to https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ click on Check My Visa Application Status, select Immigrant Visa and type in your case number, the one you were given by the NVC.

To all July filers keep your heads up I know TSC is the biggest mess, but I guarantee you that there is hope I'm a late July filer and my petition was approved on 12/31 my advice is to contact your local congressman I know some may be more helpful than others but it works, that's what I did and they were able to get an answer for me and I'm almost positive that's why my petition was approved. but keep your heads up once the approval comes NVC moves really quick, My prayers are with you guys best of luck I'm sure everybody will start seeing there approvals soon.

So I was told by NVC that my case is in administrative process, does anyone know if that usually takes a long time? Should I be worried?
