Hello guys, Its been a while I have posted. Just busy settling in and adjusting to the new place and of course weather!
As mentioned the POE was super smooth and easy. No questions asked.
I landed on a Thursday evening, and Friday morning itself I went to get my SSN done. And I was surprised to receive my SSN card in mail the following Tuesday. Imagine less than a week. After a really long visa process, this was a complete surprise for something to be done so fast!
Good luck to all my VJ friends who have their interviews, and also those who are awaiting CC and interview dates!
You guys will always be in my prayers!

quick update!
Got my visa and pp in hand today,
I am flying out tonight!
Excited and nervous. And obviously sad thinking I am leaving behind my family and friends. But new life awaits me with my hubby!!
Good luck to everyone whos having interviews in the next few days, and I will be busy adjusting

APPROVED!!!! (happy dance)
Interview was fairly straightforward. was asked 3 questions and heard the magical words! "You have been approved"
Here are the questions I was asked:
1) What does your husband do. I replied. She asked can you tell in more detail about his job. I did.
2) How long do you know your husband. Was it an arranged marriage or love? When did your relationship turn romantic?
3) Did you have a reception/party after your marriage. Can you show me your wedding pics?
"you have been approved"
And what better, by the time I reached home from the consulate my status is :
Issued : Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted.
DOES THIS MEAN, i MIGHT GET MY PASSPORT AND VISA BY TODAY EVENING ITSELF?

I know mine has been shipped on 8th Sept, NVC rep told me that, and It had been received and signed in on 12th Sept
Now counting days for interview, and finally get done with everything!!!

Dont worry. you really dont need to track and check if it reached the embassy. As long as you have ur interview date. the rest is their head ache! haha (or it will be ours till its over ) I just called to check why i dont have an interview letter, thats when the rep told me, your papers have been sent to embassy today at 4pm, so you can expect the email in a day or two, and I got it next morning
Dont worry, you really need to track the packet reaching the embassy

Thanks plz do pray for all of us having our interviews:)
And our prayers are always with you, and specially will pray no one ever gets theirs as delayed as us, and ever having to wait 20 months to be reunited with their partners!

If this helps, I have been waiting since 2nd April 2013. My case took 9-10months at USCIS! and now another 9 months at NVC. Two babies you see!

No letter for us yet! that too for Oct 1st interview! I hate it when they give us barely any time to prepare and do medicals etc. We barely have 3 weeks and I hate doing anything rushed!

Oh yea, I have countless chat records, emails, skype records, and not to say, my call log running into 400pages or more. Mom used to yell at me, I am always on the phone, But after seeing this, I think I never realized it, but its soo true..lol.
You need to carry this for the interview

Probably that's good. Did you check and recheck your spam inbox. If still not there just call NVC and ask them to resend.

It took a full week for me to get my interview letter. Don't worry.. it's coming!

I did a while back.. All she did is yell..and all told me she doesnt know anything when I asked if Oct scheduling has started, and I have an interview date yet..and asked me to have patience.. I wanted to yell back saying waiting 19 months after marriage and living apart from my husband is that not having patience !

I have Case Compleated on 18th Aug-2014. Can you please explain what are the further steps need to be taken and how we can shcdule biometric interview. Can we get instruction from NVC regarding biometrics?
Please advise.
