Life insurance certificate with my hubby’s name on it, but it is fairly new (March, 2017). Many updated photos as well, which may have little to none  help.

 

The attorney is trying to do some affidavits attesting my lease and rental situation, but who knows if it will work.

 

I am super stressed.  My job demands 100% focus but I cannot even fall asleep at all right now. My hubby is very sad to see me like this.

 

At the time we filed ours, our life insurance policies were fairly new too (We took out the policies only 3 months before the date we filed) and no questions were asked. So I think you shouldn't be worried about that part. Can you get a Power of Attorney or Wills? Those can be helpful also.

Make an infopass appointment here: https://my.uscis.gov/appointment

If you can't find an available appointment, try to go to the above link at 12:00 AM (midnight). That's the time when they open plenty of appointments for the next 2 weeks.

Bring your original extension letter, your conditional green card, and your passport to the appointment. 

I went to get the stamp on my passport yesterday and was told by the officer that nothing happened on my case yet. She looked at the screen and told me the last activity on my case was the biometrics appointment being sent to my address. NOA 7/22/2016.

The whole stamping process was painless though. I was in and out in 3 minutes. Oh btw she didn't take my 2 year green card. She didn't even ask for it.

Thank you for checking. I'm thinking those who have a recent update date are those who also filed N-400 already. That's why their i-751's were touched before ours. Let's hope so.

Hey friends. A few August filers said that although their case status hadn't been updated, it showed on their USCIS account that the latest update date (meaning their case being touched) was yesterday. Mine still shows 7-22-16 (NOA date) as the latest update date. Just thought it's weird. Did you check yours?

Most of the June approvals recently were from VSC. CSC is hardly moving.

It's weird!

There was a big delay in biometrics appointment scheduling for us the second half July filers. I myself had to call USCIS and put in a service request for my biometrics appointment to be scheduled after 2 months hearing nothing from USCIS since NOA1.

I agree it's hard to explain.

OP is saying that her husband filed for divorce before her ROC was approved. Does it make a difference though? I thought we'd need to notify USCIS if a divorce has been filed (meaning it doesn't have to be finalized yet) while ROC is still pending. I know her case has been approved, but it was approved after the divorce was filed if I read her words correctly.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just looking for clarification also.

Currently California Service center is still processing May 2016 applications. Optimistically speaking, it'll take somewhere around 9-12 months for them to process I-751 now. So I'd expect a RFE asking for a divorce decree around that time. Once they send out the RFE, they'll give you 87 days to produce the divorce decree.

They could speed up the processing time in the future though. It typically only took 6 months for CSC to process i-751 in the past.

I don't think we have an excel spreadsheet like that, but if you go back to page 24 of this thread you'll see the lastest version of July filers timeline.

Looks like they've been stuck with May filers since November. USCIS website says they're processing cases filed on or before May 14 as of November 30. I wonder why they haven't moved on to June yet...

I checked my mailbox after work today and hooray I got the biometrics letter!!! Scheduled for Oct 13. Looks like they have started sending out the biometrics appointment!!!

Congrats, Gabby88. Did you have to submit a service request for it?

When I called USCIS to enquire about my case, they told me they can put in a service request for me, but I could also do the same thing myself from their website. I guess because I put in the service request myself, I got the confirmation email right away. But perhaps if you still haven't received any confirmation email (I assume you've checked your spam folder too?), then you could file your own service request from their website.
