That's the thing lost. We're not. Ferguson is less than 5 minutes from my house. I'm talking I have family and used to have friends that live there. My uncle still lives there. My boss lives 2 minutes walking distance from the Ferguson police station. That QT that was destroyed? I used to go there and play Street Fighter 2 all the time. We were over there Monday and Tuesday. My mother's bank is close to there, but it was closed due to what happened. So I had to go downtown(which in my opinion is worse) to help her get money out. I'll be down there again on Sunday.
They're angry, and rightfully so, but they're going about it wrong. They're not attacking people, just dumb looters. No home invasions or beatings. Just angry folks. My family still goes there and gives out food without being armed. They don't live in fear nor do they let others stop them from helping others. That's where I get my conviction from. But thanks for your concern.

Hey hey, gear down big shifter! I am sorry you feel that way, but I think you are a bit off base as far as the CEHST crowd of dudes go. I have married out of the US of A this time, but haven't we all here? And while I think my current wife is better than many American wives, that is an individual thing. There are women of all races/backgrounds/whatevers that are good people (in spite of the fact that many of them don't ask their husband's permission to post here as they should).
I think I speak for most of the men here when I say that I judge each person individually. Regardless of gender or sexual preference (though high points are given to women who prefer to have sex a lot). I would never lump any of you ladies into one group as women, nor would I judge any of you based on how TheTruth acted.

See, here's the deal. Sorry to talk about you like you're not in the room NB. This sexism/racism stuff it's very similar. NB says really sexist things, all the time. He believes some of what he says and he def treats women differently and thinks they should be. But, he doesn't hate them. It has everything to do with his environment/up bringing, all that stuff. Do you ostracize the grandma that refers to a candy as n-word toes, make a big deal about NB saying something about how he doesn't understand women and their emotions or something. It's dismissive as hell but where does it rank on the "let it slide meter" you know? He is a nice guy, I believe that. I think most of his comments are are not intentionally malicious or dismissive. It's just he doesn't do well with considering a female point of view. But he's prob great to his wife, they prob love each other, and they prob have a good working and mutually respectful relationship. We know how influenced people are by their environment. How much slack should people be given? Should Paula deen's publi life be over if she admits she said the n word in her life and then apologizes for it? Prob not. We're so eager to dish out justice against those that spew hate on the rest of us, we tend to make examples out people that are guilty of speaking without thinking. People should have the chance to apologize and be forgiven. It's the Christian thing to do yanno?

I did not call you Hamas. I tired to use an analogy. I said words to this effect, You are like Hamas in that you can't expect to hurl rockets into other peoples backyard and no get some back in return. I apologized, because i am a nice guy, and I meant no offense. clearly it was a attacking others analogy that had nothing to do with Hamas. I bring it up because I am being a ball buster. You've made comments that certain female users didn't violate TOS or attack other members which is not true. The sexes seem to stick together here.
I don't know if the men are serious about how they talk about women or if they are just sowing their internet oats. I don't believe everything I read here. My guess is most of them are just pushing buttons and it seems to work well. Trolls. Lots of them. We all do it when it strikes our fancy.

Here's the issue. Without Jesse or Al, what happens when black folks are locked up for buying expensive clothes? When you can be arrested for standing at a bus stop? When asking to be respected can end up in a choke hold that causes your death? When getting shot 17 times for smoking a cig in your driveway?
I'd love to see them gone, that would be mean that black people are treated equally and can expect the law to do it's job. They don't need to stir the pot, folks are already mad as hell that they have to go through all of that for almost nothing. You know just like I do, the rules don't always work for us.

"stop stirring the pot." that's just lazy. i'm sorry but its real easy for white people to say that things are 'made' to be about race. i don't agree with that. history proves the systematic oppression of our black population via the war on drugs and mass incarceration. this has played out since the early seventies, since vietnam. the numbers don't lie. if you don't think our children, today, are not picking up on how cops and judges assign value to a life, then of course you can't understand the magnitude of this country's race issues.

I don't either really, it's all part of the game. People love to assume the emotional states of others from behind a computer screen. It's an assumption that is easily manipulated.I just think it's funny to go to the effort of making a public apology but then sidestep comments made to another poster (in the same post no less) because he personally dislikes me. You'd have to, to say what he said.
