  1. Hi Everyone,

So today was my interview. And i have a gut feeling that I am already APPROVED. The interview went well with the CO, she was very nice and all. She said everything ti her looked good. She then referred me to the releasing window. The releasing employee told me that I can now go home and wait for the text message of the 2go guy if my visa is already for pickup.(i chose the pickup vs. Deliver at my house) i hope this already a good sign. The releasing window did not ask for any other followup documents. The CO did not bring up the admission of drug use many years ago.

Btw, where can i check the status of my visa? Ceac? It says READY and i should check it again after 2days. Is this the site?

  2. Thats my opinion too hank. But i hope that the co thinks the same way too. Of he questions me about why I said no in the ds 160 and yes to the physician, can i say that in my opinion the questions were completely different? I said no to the ds160 because its true that i have never been a dependent or abuser. And i said yes to the physician because its true that i have tried once before... But never happened again.

  3. Hi everyone. So my interview is tomorrow at the embassy. Just an additional concern that i hope anyone can give his /her input is that i checked NO on the question in the ds160 about "have i ever been a drug abuser/addict" but said YES on the question of the doctor if I have ever tried smokin weed at least once in my lifetime. Will there be any misrepresentation or inconsistency issue here? Is there a chance that the CO will question this and what do you think is the best answer here? Thanks a lot and wish me luck!

  4. Im really hoping for the best in the interview. I really hope that this youthful foolishness will no longer haunt me. It is a thing of past, and i have matured since then. Im glad that God answered my prayers to give me the guts to face the psych awhile ago but the biggest challenge is still ahead of me.. The consulate.. :)

Yep, everything is in my possesion already months ago. I thought I would be so ready for the interview until my admission to the doctor came up.. Hope everything ends as planned.. Will update everyone how everything will go.

  5. Just finished the interview with the psych. I think it went well imo. Questions wer more about my family, employment history and health condition(I have ankylosing spondylitis, a kind of arthritis) and how am i coping up with it. I just told him just positive attitude(optimisim) and engaging myself to sports. All of these statements are true.

Before i left, i told him i have a concern regarding the wrong information the reception marked check on te paper, last week i saw that the check mark was on the Methampethamine box!! So i raised it to the psych and i said that there must be an error with their checking last week. He browsed my paper and he said that it has been changed. And he said "you're bad" in a joking manner( i hope). Damn i hope they dont take it against me as i was just concern not to have sple error cause my visa denial. I did not open the stapled paper, i just saw the mark against the light.

  6. Would like to ask when does the 1 year ban countdown start? After the last drug use or after the medical or consulate interview?

What happens to people who admitted trying marijuana many uears ago? When does the countdown start?

Am i correct to assume that its better to admit trying marijuana like January of 2014 to be able to re apply for visa this January 2015 rather than admitting to trying marijuana many years ago because they will base it on the medical interview which will make the visa reapplicable on July 2015???

  7. Hi apple, after seeing the timeline you sent the other day, it seems confusing. Did he just wait for additional 3months for the visa. I think more than 3 months. If the 1 year should start from the last drug use on Feb 2012, the visa should have been ready for issuance on Feb 2013? And 3 months after that is May 2013 right? Did he wait for 1 year and 2 months for his visa to be issued as its already July 2014!

If the countdown of the 1 year ban is from the date of the last drug use, what will happen to those who admitted drug use many years ago???

Also, did the boy submit himself to quarterly drug testing during the 1 year ban or he just appeared to the medical at st lukes after the ban is lifted and that is 1 year after.
