  1. We can only speculate but a lot of people are being held up because of AP too. Have you called them again to follow up on the petition?

Try to jump on this thread too. Its all about people who are in AP at NVC stage. Maybe you can find something helpful:

yeah...i had read the forum already and most of them got held up for only 3 weeks the longest.. ours is unbelievably long time now...we followed up once a week but still the same :(

  2. Since your timeline isn't filled out, I want to ask

1.) Do you already have your MNL number or are you waiting for NVC to receive the case from USCIS?

2.) Have you called NVC to ask if your case has been shipped to the Philippines?

3.) Did you try asking NVC if your case is in A.P.?

Because there is no way it would take 7 weeks for NVC to send them out. Mine took 17 days and I thought that was long.

It would really help us a lot if you fill out your timeline so we know which step you are actually on.

my case was received in nvc october 8 and when we called nvc they told us we are under ap.. a nice gentlemen once answer my fiance call last week and he talked to a supervisor for our case...and he told my fiance they start processing our case october 23 and after 20 business days we will send our papers to my embassy but the 20 business days passed but upon checking our case tbrough ceac its still says at nvc..

  3. I'm confused why a K1 visa is taking so long at the NVC. It may be background checks an issue there. Usually additional names checks are

done at the NVV, cross checks I call it. I hope some lights she's soon

me too...hoping this waiting game end.. i thought uscis are the one do the checks but i was wrong.. i want to know when is the longest waiting at nvc stage for k-1 cause 2 months stuck there is already long time.. this is so frustrating..

  4. I agree with Hank, I think you should keep checking your status online to see if there is any change, and keep calling them to have an update.

yeah...i kept checking it daily.. last week the agent talked to a supervisor for our case ad told us they will send it after 20 business days starting 23rd of october.. and its 20 business days today.. hope it changed next week.. thanks elle and kyle

  5. Yea! We were expecting that too. We know that there is a waiting at NVC, but we were not expecting it could take that long. Its making me feel nervous and a bit frustrated.

upon looking your timeline u only waited a short time for the approval.. congrats on that.. yeah its like we are waiting for noa2 again this time. hehe.. what i always do is check my status every day and hoping it will change.. but for now its stuck at nvc .. i hate that.. i want to see is in transit.. hehe

  6. I did! When we check our status online, it says "At NVC" and wait for instructions or if we didn't get any to click the link under it.. When we checked it , it lead us to a page saying "Notice" and an explanation of how busy they are right now at NVC processing approved cases. I think its just their way of telling us to just wait. lol.

haha..yes..thats all we can do for now is to wait.. i was expecting the same too like if we got our case number its rock and roll time but i dont know there is additional waiting at nvc stage.. woohh

  7. I don't see it as a problem that you father is listed on the forms, if the COs asks be honest... I see no issue there.

ohh.. thank u.. i really hope that case doesnt put as on ap at nvc.. i hope there is no issue or a serious reason why we put on ap..

  8. Administrative Processing at NVC

The NVC has a process of randomly pulling a certain, unknown number of "K" visa petitions for further administrative processing. It is unknown what exactly takes place during this process. As it is in AP post interview. It may be background/name checks and/or document verification. Some CSR's at NVC have said that they are "verifying documents". But the most common answer will be that "There is no timeframe for the process". There actually is a very predictable timeframe based on VJers experience that has been shared since December 2008. The average time that a case is held during this AP is around 50 days, give or take a day or so. You can call at least once a week to ask if your file has been released out of AP and forwarded to the consulate. Most petitioners that are pulled for random AP DO receive a standard letter from NVC stating that their file will be forwarded to the embassy "within a week", this is a standard letter which is mailed out whether one is in AP or not. If you find that your case has been held at NVC for longer than a week or so; it is advisable to call and ask directly if your file is in AP.
