  1. If they would make it easier to come here legally and aggressively remove the illegal people I would be very happy.

Instead Obama rewards the illegals and looks the other way when honest people wait an eternity in a broken and random immigration system.

Our loved ones go through criminal and health checks and get treated like terrorist. In the meantime the diseased and real bad guys slip in across the border everyday and seldom even get a second look.

    :ranting:

Some that I know here post about their happy life on facebook everyday, never worrying about getting caught, enjoying the good life while they waiting for amnesty, while I have not kissed my angel's sweet lips in over a year now.

Everyday we are apart, I feel as the system has stolen hugs, kisses and other good memories from us, things that can never get back, cannot go back to the time stolen from us.

  2. Guys, this is what my lawyer tells me:

Foriegn fiancee does not have to sign Form G-325A until her visa interview in her home country. (See attached letter). Additionally, any signed statements or affidavits from her do not have to contain an original signature. They may be scanned and emailed or faxed. She can bring the originals to her visa interview.

She attached a memorandum from the Associate director of USCIS. I sent only scanned documents from my fiancee in China and was not given a RFE for those documents.

    See it below:

  3. p.s who is Igor?

He's that guy that always rubs the NOA2s in our face every night! Just kidding!

    Here are the links:

Or just use the drop downs on the page to with to viewing other service centers or refine the info.

It is awesome and I appreciate the effort put into it, but keep in mind that it is dependent on the forum users to update there statuses as they progress on the visa journey.

  4. I sent a mother's day card for my fiancee's mother via regular USPS, and it didn't arrive until over 2 months later after we had given up on it. Because of this poor experience with USPS, later, I sent all my immigration document to her via FedEx and it arrived in few days.

In 2013 I had mailed her some love letters vis USPS registered mail which took the expected 2 weeks to deliver and a little pricey, but otherwise no trouble. I won't send something so big as a stack of papers and pictures though. I guess they could advise me about what I can ship there.

  5. USPS Global Express ties into third party carriers such as FedEx or DHL within China. These carriers deliver to the larger cities.

USPS Priority Mail International or Priority Mail Express International tie into the EMS Consortium in China. China EMS offers delivery to any address in China, and offers door-to-door (US to China door) tracking through their tracking web site (use the China EMS site http://www.ems.com.cn/english.html once it's been handed off to China Post).

    Thanks! I'll look into it!

  6. FINALLY was able to get through the NVC after about a dozen times calling and getting a busy signal. Waited on hold for 35 minutes just for them to tell me, 2 and half weeks after NOA2, they still don't have the case. It can take up to 30 days to send from one agency to the other. And then 5 days for them to send it to the Embassy in Paris.

    CMON OBAMA!

Obama... I cannot wait until he's gone. It is so embarrassing.

  7. I tried the search but the post seemed old as in 2006 so I am asking now in 2014. :)

Useful info: We are in the process of getting our K-1 fiance visa, thinking the I-129F will be approved soon, then off to NVC and Guangzhou.

Does anyone have any recommendations for shipping from the US to China, (Henan Province)? I plan to ship the following things:

    A. Copies of all the documents from the I-129F, RFE stuff and things she will need between now and the interview.

From reading old threads it seems people favored USPS Global Priority.

    B. Prenatal vitamins. I read on the China shipping restrictions that there is a limit of 40 RMB for medicine. Now I don't know if they mean "medicine" as in a prescription and over the counter or if they also include herbal supplements and vitamins in that hard limit. One bottle of prenatal vitamins will go over 40 RMB easily.

Any advice is much appreciated.

You can skip to the section "What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): "

NVC Stuff: You should get a case number in 1-3 weeks, most people call and get it faster:

  9. You just have to stay positive and keep busy. Start gathering as much supporting documents because after your NOA2 everything moves so fast.

I am. I have a plan and am ready for the next steps, I read everyday and night about it, haha.

I tell you what, this whole process has made me so superstitious, but in a good way. Short story, for the past few months I had gotten lazy and stopped going to the gym, a week or so ago I told myself, she may be here soon, better go to the gym. I worked out so hard for my baby. That night I got an RFE. I was so happy to finally hear something from the USCIS. It was an easy RFE so we sent in what was needed right away. But wow, I was sore for a week and skipped the gym until everything stopped hurting. Then Monday I had that feeling again, better go to the gym. Sure enough, I get an email and text message that night the the RFE was received and that they are working on it.

Let me tell you, I go to the gym every single day now, haha!
