  1. I'm surprised it wasn't in your notice itself. Then again, I usually get an email whenever USCIS updates my acct, I didn't. I was following this thread with other folk's updates and checked mine on a whim. Good luck! You studying the 2018/2020 test, right?
  2. ugh, everything i'm seeing so far shows that you'd have to pay a fee if it's not changed at interview about $450 unless i'm mistaken - at the interview itself is when you'd change.. or if your ceremony is at a courthouse in front of a judge.
  3. Hi guys - anyone had same day interview and oath ceremony? Filed N400: 3/31/2022 Biometrics: 4/25/2022 Interview scheduled: 10/6/2022 Interview date: 11/21/2022 @ 8am.
  4. Now I'm ever more excited/nervous. Mine is 8am, and in the past (like 2-3 years ago) Philadelphia used to do same day interview/oath ceremonies. I didn't find anything recent but I'm holding out hope. Fingers crossed they get your complete file and get your case settled and certificate in hand soon. Congrats again.
  5. I guess its up to you and a personal choice - I want to change mine cuz I never wanted to change my name to marriage, I added his last name onto mine for banking and work. I'm going back to mine whenever I have the opportunity. Congrats! Glad you had the chance to do your ceremony same day, sucks that you gotta wait! Was it an early interiew?
  6. Hehe! You're gonna do the change after your ceremony? That carries a fee, no? I really don't wanna have to change every piece of paper with my current name - I never changed my name and now I don't wanna.
  7. Hmm. I'm wondering the same. I never legally changed my name on anything - SSN, driver's license still have maiden name. But all the notices from USCIS have my married name, because my dumbass wrote my current legal name as FirstName MiddleName MarriedName. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Won't you be able to change it at the interview?
  8. Congrats! I actually had to refresh my memory on #2 since there are 3 dates (written, ratified and in operation). What time was your interview? I'm holding out hope that I might get to do it same day..
  9. thank you! i have the citizenship test for '21-'22, but i need to get the '20-'21 one Just over 5 weeks - its on Nov 21, interview scheduled Oc. 6.
  10. Application scheduled!! Nov 2022. Why am I suddenly nervous?!! Now, to study!!!
  11. Woohooo! I'm glad to see the interviews being scheduled!! Mine is still down to 3 months, so.. still waiting.
  12. Ah congrats!! I just checked my USCIS acct and now its saying 'approx 3 months.. Christmas present!!
  13. Dang, we had the same PD. How'd your interview go? What'd they ask?
  14. That's the date you received your interview date or was this your interview date? Thanks
  15. Last update I had was April 25 when I did biometrics. Until decision. Dare I say I hope for a Christmas present? 🤗
  16. Just checked mine too, went down from 9 months to 4 months. I'm in Philly.
  17. Your case moved really quick, less than 4 months. Congratulations! I've been waiting 6 months now..
  18. Dang, I became a LPR in June 2017 and I had to go back to Mexico in Oct 2017 to give up my apt, last paycheck, etc.. Before that I went back to my home country and then I was in the US for like a couple hours or so for a few month - I crossed the Laredo border with my US visa to get some shopping done and this was all in 2016/2017. Damn - now I gotta remember all those dates!
  19. Nah, I'm in Philly. They said 9 months from April 1.
  20. Wow! Congrats, talk about smooth sailing! I have a ways to go with waiting on my interview, but fingers crossed I have as little trouble as possible!
