I filed through California and my first five digits are (is this too many? Don't want to be doxxing myself!) WAC17321.

I'm approved!
Is the case number the one that starts with WAC?

Yes, a lot of us have. You can see in the floating timeline through the thread that a lot of us have. If you haven't yet, check with your attorney or call USCIS.
My lawyer contacted USCIS and they said we just have to wait. I wonder whybI have to wait? So annoying.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else has not had their biometrics notice yet? I'm doing this all through a lawyer so I know I haven't missed a notice as they would have got one too. I'm filing in California.

I'm in CA and I discovered you can help out at the polls while being a LPR! So I've done my training today (OMG so much stuff to learn) and I'll find out soon where I'll be on June 7th! It'll be cool to see what the election process is like before actually getting to vote in a few years. Also, we've been warned this election will probably be a busy one! Haha!
Anyone else been a poll worker?

My husband and I had our interview today in Santa Clara and it all seems good. The IO told us he has to do some system checks but that it looks good.
What was interesting is that our IO was deaf. He had a translator with him who translated his questions and our answers.
I feel sorry for his translator as m husband and I rarely speak in fully formed, complete sentences! Haha! She did a great job and she even translated stuff that we said extra, so that he got a full picture of us. He was very friendly and joked with us about everything. He asked us about our relationship in HK and here, asked about our families. He was the first IO to ask whether I had Dual Citizenship with South Africa since I was born there (I don't, though I could probably get it, just not super bothered to do it!)
My husband works for Netflix and every IO I've had has asked so many questions about Netflix, I always get the impression they are like "Ooo, cool!". Super funny, he asked my husband about what is up with Netflix and Chill! Haha, the translator was like "whaaaa....!" before she translated it.
So I actually had a great time chatting to our IO and having the translator was no bother at all, I actually ended up just looking at him instead of her, since I assumed that he wanted to see my reaction to what he was asking.
Anyone else have an interesting AOS interview?

I had a problem where I couldn't even get to that bloody payment page. My Immigration Lawyer basically had to phone the embassy and they gave her the page address to manually type in.
However, then I had the same problem as you and I was given the wrong fee amount. Once again the lawyer phoned the embassy and they said I could just pay the remainder at the interview. That was perfectly fine on the day. I'm surprised they never even gave you that option.

I just did this fo Jinan and i'm in HK. I then also helped my friend do one for Jinan as well and she is in London.
You really need to find someone from the city to do it for you. Maybe offer to pay someone from your old job. A police check costs nothing.
So you need to prepare- a copy of your passport, visa pages, resident permit pages, ID page.
- You also need the letter from your employer/school stating you were a good, well behaved person. The letter must be in Chinese and must have the address of the apartment where you lived on it. It also needs the company chop to make it all official.
- Next you need an Authorization letter to give to the police. Put your fingerprint on it in red ink. Or your chop if you have one. You need to get the name in Chinese and the ID number of the Chinese citizen who is going to go to the Police Station for you and put it on there.
- The person who goes for you needs to add a copy of their ID.
The take it to the local PSB for where you lived.
Here is mine attached, this helped my friend get hers. They wouldn't issue one until they saw they had already done one before.
Then you need to have it taken to a notary office. They need another authorisation letter too. Then they take it for 5 days and translate and notarize it. This costs around 400 ish RMB. Hope this helps.

My husband and I filed on the 17th June and he got approved last night. I still haven't been approved 🤷♀️
So it's looking like 2 months average.
