Finally good news!   April filer, transferred to Texas on March 13, EAC181345xxxx -- approved today!  😊

A month ago, I'd tried to get transferred back to Vermont, but that got squashed by Level II.

It is truly a slog waiting after the 15 month mark...  Good luck to everybody still waiting!

    Congrats!!

I also asked to be transferred back to VSC no joy. I got transferred March 20th   *crosses fingers*

Is there a chart or a separate topic showing Vermont applicants who got transferred to Texas Service Center? I wonder how many such cases are there in Texas - dozens, hundreds or over a thousand?

I’m a March 2018 flier. It was transferred to Texas in March 2019.

My letter said it got transferred to balance out workloads and promote timely processing which made sense at the time. It also said that it will NOT delay the processing time.

But after seeing there are many April, May and even few June fliers who got approved - it makes no sense.

Thats the reason I created this topic to gauge transfers to the blackhole of the TSC processing center

I've been tracking similar cases that were transferred to Texas , I am April 6th filler 2018, and so far last approvals were on February fillers , most of the cases not transferred are being approved on VSC and as you said MAY and JUNE filers are seeing the light before TSC, this make no sense, even the letter I received said it wont affect you processing time, that is actually happening.

I read the same portion of the letter and the website also states it wont affect your processing time.  Well thats a total fabrication of the truth as it is, or potentially is.  Who's to say your's or my case would have been processed, but the odds are some are at VSC and none are at TSC

USCIS wont even look into it until its gone over the date they specify

Does anyone have any info on cases transfered to texas from vsc? This is starting to get ridiculous, why are more recent cases getting approved at VSC and older ones that have been transfered to texas arent???? what kind of joke is this...

I have to agree, even the processing time on the USCIS website for VSC has decreased and is faster now than TSC.  SO much for work load balancing.  I dont how they are store, if on a computer then I'm sure you can sort via date to process the older ones first, if store in a paper file then they should be sorted and stored in order - or at least common sense would dictate that?

I spoke with a tier 1 yesterday, she was also dumfounded, I asked if I could be transfered back to VSC, her answer was no, I guess if I hung out for a tier 2 it could happen.

Has any April 2018 filers who transfered to TSC from VSC been approved / REF'd yet?  Seems we are lost in the void

Agreed...who knows.  But I've been keeping track of other numbers that I know were transferred -- on March 6, 13 & 20th -- and there is nothing happening other than a couple RFEs.  We were transferred on the 13th, case number:  EAC181345****  BTW I did try to request a transfer to Potomac, but they wouldn't do it.

I just called USCIS to enquire about being transferred back to VSC, tier 1 said its not possible to do, I guess you spoke with Tier 2?

Just got turned away for schengen visa because date of departure is 2 months before my extension letter ends even though I told them that I have a pending application and that my status does not expire. USCIS office won’t give me a stamp until 1 month before it ends. This is utterly ridiculous. I don’t know if I’m furious or sad at how we’re treated during this process. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do? Last resort I can think of is to walk into USCIS office and beg for one from the manager/supervisor. Has anyone had any experience doing this??

I'm sorry you got treated this way, but thats the whole reason you have the extension letter to save them resources at field offices.  can you imagine if everyone went for a visa stamp?

Why do you need the stamp, the only reason I can see them stamping your passport was if you were out of the country while your extension letter expired.

I called USCIS last night.  I discovered that you can request that your case be transferred back if processing time estimates are longer at the new service centre than the original service centre.   Transfers are not supposed to negatively impact the time that it takes a case to be adjudicated.  If you request a transfer back to VSC, they will do so in a max of 30 days.  I rolled the dice and decided to request a transfer back.  I figure there will at least be attention on our case instead of festering in some corner in Texas.  I'll let you know what happens...

I like the idea, its a gamble, but I guess it gets picked up - its a pity they cant pull it out and process rather than send back to VSC, I wonder what the difference in timescale is in processing and sending it back?

As you said its a gamble, maybe that corner of the office at TSC was next to be spring cleaned.

    My case number:   EAC181525****

Yup, me, too.  And VJ sent me an updated timeline for my case on Saturday indicating expected date of September 18.  I suspect there's huge skewing when there's a couple old cases that were interviewed finally get cleared, but that email sucked.  Can't believe that I interpreted being transferred as a good thing.  Super frustrating.

Me three.  I wonder if its worth a phone call to USCIS to ask what the hold up is - mentioning that I'm aware that there has been approvals for May and June filers at VSC

  10. So I had to renew my driving license yesterday using my 18month extension letter and expired green card.  Everything was fine until they present you with your license which is only valid until December this year, thats when the extension letter expires, stating you really need to get that letter renewed.  🤬 like I dont know that!!

So in all, I have had 4 driving licenses here each costing $24 each and another to renew by the end of the year.  This is just plain stupid.

VSC April 2018 filer transferred to TSC March 2019 and still nothing
