  1. Congratulations MrsThb and Don123!!!

    I hope you'll both have a smooth process and get the visa approved and issued soon.

    My husband and I just went to his interview last week. It went well thanks God, it got approved and issued. God willing he'll be here in the US soon.

    Best wishes and prayers to all who are still in the process, God willing the wait will be over soon.

    ~ Sofi <3

    Congrats Sofi all the best for a good future. with blessings of u guys I will get it soon. :)

  2. don123, get that baby in asap.

    they are pushing cases thru nvc like hot cakes.....mail it don't ep! not sure if srilanka has ep or not....but people have been getting thru nvc in like 21 to 35 days if they mail their stuff in. no one really knows what the deal is, but no one is complaining. I ep'ed my stuff in and saw tons to people sail past me, most aggravating. see here....

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10PgA_IJw9TFvAjQGxJUNaQpD-fgwi6yh0pusO54oppo/edit#gid=0

    and follow the scan dates to complete thread.

    I'd get your stuff in asap because there is a humm that come mid may, with the daca applicants, this whole system could run a muck.

    and congrats on getting thru uscis ...your almost at the end....

    praying for a very speedy nvc process for you.

    :)

    thanks for the info and thanks for the blessings mrs thb:)

  3. figured I'd resurrect this thread one more time..... to announce my cc.

    although there are 8 of us waiting interviews to be scheduled in Montreal I don't anticipate an interview/approval before July. my fingers are crossed for a miracle, though.

    hoping I'm the last feb filer out there to get finished with this process and can start living with my spouse like the rest of you!!

    if not, here's wishes for a speedy cc and interview!!!

    Im also here still doing my AOS and package IV, good luck to you. :dancing:

  4. that's my pal!!!! keeping me company and holding my hand!!! now that's the spirit. still praying for you,don123! what's up though? any news on your delay???

    simmering??? c_luv its smokin'!!! i'm getting a wee bit antsy and a whole lot frustrated.... get a lawyer update monday (we hope) and even she is knocking down every door possible.....she, we sometimes think, is more exasperated then we!! which is kinda good :yes: btw hope your get yours numbers soon and can start to pay and submit :D

    thanks we do too, but we totally understand how this process works and aren't overly hopeful for anything soon.

    eh, i feel it.....thanks RobbieG! as usual your energy fills the universe..... :) hope your cc is just around the corner!!!

    yes, Sofi, you've been a shining light to me too. no interview yet but the letter did say "expect an interview appointment letter to arrive in the next 60 to 90 days", 90 days will be Dec 15!!! i'll be stunned if we really have the interview and will not be a happy camper... however if we do, it will be a breeze and a joke :lol: i am not the slightest bit worried, just frustrated.

    ~~~~ :D:D ~~~one day this will all be over~~~~ :D:D ~~~~~~
    No news yet! but we went for a second e-request, for the first request the reply was, BACKGROUND CHECKS (I don't have any criminal record or even speed ticket when I was there)
  5. we're here with you. prayin', wishin' and hopin' right along side.
    we've been staying away.....such doom and gloom, its so disappointing and sad......., been doing our own thing, making our own peace and finding tranquility in resolve since it will be next summer before we're living together like a real married couple. learning how not to be angry or bitter or judgmental.
    hoping for a miracle, really.
    what are the chances of getting expedite at nvc??? are the reasons the same as they are at the uscis stage???
    As I knw its same as the USCIS unless they do a mistake in USCIS stage then we can apply for expedite.
  6. Hey Don123 -
    i'm in the same boat waiting. Was yours' a simple RFE? I've noticed simple ones for example wedding certificate, passport photos, etc get processed between 10 and 20 days.
    my RFE was about 8 items long and was received 9/8. I hope we both get our approvals soon, God willing. :rolleyes:
    ~ Sofi
    It was a passport photo of my wife, but it being more than a month now not 10/20 that's why im worried, also filed e-request, no reply for that either.
  8. I just checked the USCIS website and it said that our I130 was approved!! :dance::dancing::D I can't believe it!!
    And you know something, I really believe that this forum of feb filers is the best. The energy here is so positive and so spiritual! I really believe that helps!
    When I was down, someone in the forum mentioned that I should pray. Even though I hadn't prayed in a very long time, I something deep down told me they were right and I decided that I should try.. So for the first time in ages, I prayed last week and now a week later we have our approval!!! Sending all of you strength and don't lose faith.
    Maybe turning to prayer can help all of us get through this! Best of luck to everyone!
    Congrats :dancing: Good luck with NVC
  9. thanks again for elaborating. i really appreciate it.
    we are together again...last hurrah of the summer, then i return back to work (sigh). we got talking about our last I 797C notice (the most recent one stating the transfer to NBC) and there's no reference of time noted on it. it just states "to speed up the processing we have transferred your case to NBC". at the info pass appt he was told 'everything is cleared, you should hear something soon....that was 6 days ago and nothing. so, we booked another info pass appt and i'm attending. hoping this might have some impact on our case moving forward.
    i was so optimistic but spirits are on the decline.....its difficult to be up when so little points up!!!!
    help me out here people.
    Please god bless all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Hi,
    My pd is Feb 11...I filed an e-request and got this response:
    "Thank you for your inquiry. The required background checks for the subject case remain pending. We will render a decision as soon as the background checks are complete. If you do not receive a decision within 120 days of this inquiry, please contact csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov."
    Did anyone come across such notification and will it really take the extra 4 months to process?
    Wow 120 days that's ridiculous :ranting:
  11. hey don123, hang in there, i'm rooting for you!!! and all others here.
    to those whom just got approved....you are very very lucky. i've been in dialogue with some january filers (since i'm on the cusp of jan/feb i thought i'd be friends with them too), and many of them still have heard no word. 3 of them are from nsc.
    my feb filer friends are very, very lucky.
    i want to be lucky too!!!! :cry:
    btw the way, that nvc aug thead moves very quickly....you gotta stay on it to stay fresh. you are not obliged to be on it regularly but its viewed by many. the first post is super, super informative!!!!!
    dualie you might enjoy the nvc thread for canadians in the canada country thread.....just passing on some tid bits. ;);) haha, you thought i said tim bits, didn't you???? :D
