We also sent a expedite request on Aug. 25 and got a response yesterday saying we needed two foreign numbers but that the request was under review. And today I got an email saying they had updated the case with the two numbers. I don't know if that's good or if everyone gets that?

We sent in an expedite request on August 25th, we received a reply e-mail yesterday Sept 4th stating they needed the beneficiary's birthday (And other information which we originally provided) for a response. Here is the response :

Dear Sir/Madam:

The Department of State's National Visa Center (NVC) is committed to the

protection of personal information of visa applicants and their

petitioners. To ensure the confidentiality of visa files and to prevent

the unauthorized release of personal information, the NVC requires that

the following information be provided with each inquiry:

Name of the person submitting the inquiry

NVC case number or USCIS receipt number

Petitioner's name

Principal Applicant's name and date of birth

NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based (I-140), include the

employer's company/organization name.

Unfortunately, your inquiry did not contain ALL of the above

information. Please resubmit your inquiry with the above information so

we may update our records accordingly and provide you with a specific

response.

My attorney is charging 2500$ for the whole process. The USCIS part is easy but since neither of us are in the US we wanted to leave everything to the attorney to do. I actually think its worth getting the attorney plus the enormous help here too.

They also asked for two foreign numbers.

I'm the beneficiary she's the USC.

If she wants her green card in her married name, she needs to change her passport before the interview. Otherwise it will cost $450 to change the green card after getting it. The next time to change the green card without an extra fee is at ROC if you are married less than 2 years at POE.

We're already at the NVC process and when we got married she got my last name. She still has her valid passport with her maiden last name. Will that be a problem ?

I requested an expedite two days ago how long should I wait for a reply?

Waiting for the embassy to send the instructions package to hubby to get his medicals done. He will pay the IV fee $230 at the interview day

So what are you waiting on now ? Did you pay any NVC fees ?

They responded back after 5 business days and I've got approved on 8/20 and 8/21 my case had been shipped to the embassy

How long after submitting your request did you receive a response ? And how long since you were approved for the expedite?

I sent an email explaining why I needed an expedite, not a medical reason and provided proof as to why, and got approved. I'm still waiting for NVC to decide they want to touch my case and send it to DR. So frustrating!

I got NOA2 on July 24 and still waiting for it get to NVC.

When they receive it I'm going to send an expedite request. If approved what happens can someone compare a normal NVC process vs a NVC expedite process please ?

I've had my NOA2 since July 24 and still no word from NVC I'm going to call and see if they have received it so I can submit my expedite request.

The thing is I have nothing whatsoever to tie me to my country. I was born in Mexico and was taken without inspection when I was two years old. I got married and by my own will I left before I was 18 and 180 days. So I've been waiting here in Mexico with my wife since May waiting for our green card process to finish. She's the USC btw. Our i130 was recently approved on July 24th our PD was Feb. 19. I have nothing but my word to tie me to Mexico should I try getting the B2 visa and once its my interview I go to Juarez. ? Any recommendations

When can I request an expedite ? I requested one for NVC and I got an email saying my case wasn't on file yet. My i130 was approved 24th July

NVC process seems even more stressing. I got approved on the 24th of July and I emailed for expedite and turns out they don't have my file yet and I can send a scan copy of my approval if its been more than 8 weeks. Best wishes on a speedy approval everyone

No cost to expedite. Expedition done for humanitarian reasons etc, not money.

Why do you have AOS in your profile, but asking about a stand alone I-130?

It is just a stand alone i130 I don't even know what a AOS is I must have messed with something when I tried filling in the info.

Congrats!! On an expedite though?? How come it took this long if you qualified for an expedite? When did you ask for expedite approval?

I requested the expedite on the 23rd of June and approved two days later. I had no idea what an expedite was till late in the process but oh well at least I have the approval already. Don't worry yours is coming up soon just have faith that should be what dies last.

Finally approved today about 3 mins ago !!! 19 February on a expedite. Nebraska Center. What's next ?

And I says I had a change of address which I didnt. And I'm even on a approved expedite what the hell is going on???

Some days I just feel so angry so disappointed everyday that passes and no approval. I'm from Feb. 19 and I'm on expedite but my case is still under RFE review :/ I hope we all soon get approval
