I've been tracking other applicants on VisaJourney from San Jose, and someone with a NOA date of January 17th just got their interview letter on June 25th.
So I think you can expect to hear back by the end of July! Good luck and please keep me posted.

got notification that my interview has been scheduled. It has only been updated on my case status waiting for it to be updated online so i can see my interview date.
 
Yes, i still have my i-751 pending. File N-400 March 7, did my biometrics March 19. Interview finally scheduled

Hmm, that makes sense. It just throws me off when I read the status and it says "Actively processing your case since [biometrics date]"
Honestly, all these things are so arbitrary. I just need to forget about this process for a couple of months and maybe stop signing onto Visa journey for my own sanity hahah!

Okay, we finally got some movement on our cases, 14.5 months after filing our i-751.
 
First, my wife is a combo i-1751/n-400 filer. If you're not a combo filer this might not apply to you.
 
i-751 filing date: 4/13/2017 at CSC
n-400 filing date: 4/24/2018
notification that n400 interview has been scheduled: 6/28/2018
interview: ????? (our local office is Albuquerque)
 
We have to wait until the letter notifying us when the interview is, arrives by mail or online. The way these things go, that might take a week.
 
Generally, from what I've seen, they usually schedule the interview about a month after they notify you.
 
The n-400 interview is a combo i-751/n-400 interview. Presumably they have the i-751 application in hand and complete the processing for the green card after the interview.
 
Now the juicy part which might help others....
 
After waiting patiently for 2 months from filing the n-400 and 14.5 months from filing i-751, doing biometrics twice during the interim, we finally got tired of waiting and called USCIS yesterday! I told the agent of our general exasperation but of course, she could not tell me anything I didn't already know from checking my status. She told us to file a formal request for status after 20 months. Okay, whatever, we're resigned to waiting for however long it takes. Click. However...
 
24 hours later, we received notification of an interview. That seems weirdly coincidental. If you've been waiting since April 2017, you might want to tickle USCIS at this point and see if you don't magically get notified of a forthcoming interview the next day.

Out of curiosity, does the clock start at the NOA date, or the biometrics date?
Like if I'm comparing myself to other people's timelines from my local field office, should I be comparing based on the NOA date, or our biometrics dates?
 
I assume biometrics is just something you need to get done before they get to your case, right? It's not stalling the process till you get it done and pushing you further back in line?

I passed my interview yesterday. The whole process was very simple. I was in and out in 30 mins. Interviewer asked me some questions from the application. i.e If I was ever convicted of crime etc.
 
For civic test I was asked following.
1. When was the constitution written
2. What is the capital of US
3. What ocean is on the east of US
4. Name one state which shares border with Canada
5. Name one state which shares border with Maxico
6. Don't remember.
 
At the end of it she gave me a paper mentioning I had passed the interview. Now waiting for the Oath ceremony!
 
 

Here's a post of a CSC April 2017 filer who received notification that his/her green card is approved, although they did have to attend an interview.
 
 

99% you will have a combined interview. They cannot approve your N-400 before they approve your I-751. The officer will interview you and your spouse together for the I-751 then proceed to the N-400 interview which will exclude the U.S citizen spouse. They will have both of your I-751 and N-400 files. These days it is becoming a norm that people file for N-400 with a pending I-751. You don't need to worry, everything will be fine. Soon you will be a U.S citizen

I got 6 texts and an email just a moment ago that my interview is scheduled. Ironically, I went to my local field office yesterday to the extension stamp on my passport.

Got my interview appointment letter - scheduled for July 24. If everything goes well, the N-400 process will have taken under 5 months, which is pretty good!

He has one.  We checked once we were finally together, and to our surprise, it was already posted!  July 24 is our date.  That's perfect.  We will both be home from our travels, and I'll be back from a wedding I'm attending on the 21st (my friend with whom I traveled to Egypt the first time I met my husband).  So, I'm so very excited it all seems to fit nicely into plans.  Thanks to all for the well wishes and best wishes for those still waiting.  
 
 

I definitely plan on going to the interview.  It's so exciting to know it is finally here.  We never expected it to be this quick (after talking with the guy who gave my husband his I 551 stamp), so our summer has already been filled with many fun adventures (I teach and can travel then).  We will most certainly work our schedule around the interview. It's just these next few days that are agonizing.  Will it fit nicely into our maze of a summer...or will we have to reshuffle a few things?  I'd love them to put the interview date in the notification text...
 
**When I say quick...ha ha...that statement has no bearing on the 15 months we've waited for ROC...it is simply related to the naturalization.

I've been stalking charts from other N400 month threads, and someone from my local office (San Jose) who applied mid-November, got their interview letter in late March! So I feel like I finally have some realistic timeline goal haha. Based on my math, I think I should maybe hear back by end of July/early August. I REALLY hope this actually happens and that ONE person who I am basing all of this off of is not an anomaly 

To play it safe, I would plan to have both of you there for the interview. Why take any chances, right? For the most part it seems that when they do both interviews together, they have the spouse in the room for the I-751 part, then interview the applicant alone for the n-400.

The Albuquerque office is small, so not much of a sample size. However, I have seen 1 VJ'er with recent success being processed out of Abq so I am hopeful.

Interview date is July 20, 2018

Done with the interview appointments. First was the joint i751 interview got approved immediately then I left room and my husband had the N400 interview! Both went amazing!!
