  1. It can take up to 4-6 weeks to receive the letter.

From the post above in this thread>

'You do not have to wait for the letter to begin filling out forms and scheduling appointments. The letter will be needed by the K-1 applicant at their ASC, medical and interview in Juarez, along with the confirmation page from the DS-160. if you do not receive it before going to Juarez, you can get the letter printed out from the information window at the consulate before going to your medical and appointments.'

Hi, so in case we still not receive the invitation letter we would have to go to the consulate window where the interview is scheduled right? To ask for a copy, im trying to research that and i dont see it anywhere. Im so nervousr, our interview is in 15 days

  2. Thanks for the info! So the appointments have been scheduled and paid the ds160, im so nervous to think that if he has to go get a copy for any reason they dont give it to him or something! I want to get this over with! Im looking into flight and they are pricey and very long flights, theres no direct flights.. Oh well, this will all be worth it☺️

Hi! The package is actually just a letter with te instructions they already have at the website, you can go ahead and start filling out DS 160 and schedule appointments, if you have not received the letter by your appointments time you can go to the consulate early and request a copy.

Hello i know u recently posted about a hotel but i cant find it! How safe did u feel out there?

  3. You don't need an appointment for the medical exam, you could plan on doing that a day or 2 before the interview , the same for the finger prints. If you click on my timeline there is a consulate review, you can find some good info there about the process in Juarez ( I would type it again, but I am on my phone now)

Hello, so our packet 3 letter has not yet arrived to either of us! How long should i wait..today is 11 business day..ive literally done nothing! But wait ?.

  4. Calling Juarez gets you different answers because they give out misinformation all the time.

Call the NVC to get your CDJ case#, if you did not get it when calling Juarez.

Juarez will send the USC and the beneficiary in Mexico a letter. If the only one that receives it is the USC, it can be mailed or scanned and emailed and printed out by the beneficiary in Mexico. It does not have to be the original. The letter you receive points you to the sites where the instructions, forms and place to schedule your appointment and interview is. The letter is the only 'packet' you will receive.

You do not have to wait for the letter to begin filling out forms and scheduling appointments. The letter will be needed by the K-1 applicant at their ASC, medical and interview in Juarez, along with the confirmation page from the DS-160. if you do not receive it before going to Juarez, you can get the letter printed out from the information window at the consulate before going to your medical and appointments.

If you want to allow Juarez time to send you the letter, then wait a couple weeks, then schedule your appointments for a few weeks down the road. That should give you a month or more to receive it. If you still did not, then you really can get one printed out at the consulate's info window.

Here are the forms: http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/fianceforms.html ,

instructions (very important to follow and they explain a lot): http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ciudadjuarez/231771/PDFs/k1k4dec13.pdf ,

schedule interview and ASC: http://mexico.usvisa-info.com , and

    CDJ info: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Mexico&cty=Juarez

While waiting, you can read through the reviews to see how the procedure works and what documents were needed by others applying for a K-1: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Mexico&cty=&dfilter=5

NOTE> Please be aware that the instructions have not been updated since the visa processing fee went up. It is no longer $240. It is now $265. I believe it will tell you the current fee on the website where you pay.

Hello this is great info, thank you, so the embassy in mex said they mailed me a letter with instructions on 10/15. Can i pay the ds 160 already? I have case # and invoice id. All this time im waiting for the letter. Do you know how soon we can schedule interview in ciudad juarez right now? Thank you in advance im do anxious and scared something might go wrong :(

  5. Congrats ob the progress to everyone! Guys im a bit afraid because nvc told me they were going to cancel my 129 yet they forwarded to the mexico embassy , i already received a letter stating the case # and assigned consulate. I feel like i cant believe it! I think i wont believe it until my husband in mexico receives the packet..waiting anxiously!! For now im still getting everything ready ..im so ready to give the payment and send out paperwork! Loving how we are not aline, thanks for the heads up borris& kassi! Keep us posted ur ahead of the game ?

So, Tavotevi, you got I-129 F case number, and not for I-130? If that is the case, then it's awesome!

Then beneficiary can move to States at once, and complete rest of action there.

Around a month back, u told that u had called NVC and they told that they will cancel your I-129. Still they gave a case number. That's a great news!

Yes! Thank u!! Lets all keep praying fo great news!! ???

  6. I just called NVC and I now have a case number!!! They just assigned it today!! Exactly 2 weeks! They told me 42 days, I am soooooo relieved!!! I know some of you had your case received a few days around mine, so I wanted to be sure to update. WooooHoooo!!! :dancing::dancing: oh and my case was received oct 2nd. Tavotevi I hope you are calling them now! you could have yours too!

Thank u i will call tommorow!! I got my case # for my 129 on tuesday? Did you?

  7. Oh ok thats good to know! Sorry but i have one more question! Is their anything you started to take care of meanwhile? Fingerprints..medical exam?? Appointments?? Do we just wait?? Sorry we are anxious

Hi, my fiancé received the letter in the States about 2 weeks later, he scanned it and sent it to me, that's what I used for my visit to Juarez , my letter arrived to my address in Mexico after I had the interview and all!!!

They actually send out the letters from El Paso, TX, that's why it takes longer to arrive to the beneficiary's address.

Did u schedule your appointment during this time?

  8. Hello... :)

Ciudad Juarez is the only consulate in Mexico that processes this type of visas. There is no need to contact any other consulate. You can call the consulate in Juarez to confirm they have your case (Give it a day or 2) they will also confirmed once they have sent you the letter. Once they confirm they have your case you can go ahead and start filling out the form , pay the visa fee and schedule the interview.

Ok, for some reason i thought he had to deal with his nearest consulate for something..i was confused. Hoping they send out the letter soon! How long did they take to send it to you? Thank u for your help!

  9. Hello!

Our case shows ready on the CEAC website (It showed ready just a moment ago) I assumed this means they consulate in Mexico already has it. So I went a head and called them to try to schedule interview, they said they still don't have our case information in the system and that I have to wait for the NVC to send a letter to the petitioner in the US. She said once the petitioner receives the letter I can move forward. I read somewhere else that they were going to send this letter to me (Beneficiary) , Does anyone know what they do and who they send the letter too?

How long does it take to get the letter and who can we call to inquire if they sent it already and to which address?

    Hope somebody can help

Hello congrats and welcome! Im now on the same boat as you were. Im frustrated, so my case in ciudad juarez says ready! Now what! Do we just wait to receive something by mail? Another question, my husband will interview in CDJ.. But he lives in mexico city...will he have to contact mexico city embassy for anything? You know how some people contact guadalajara embassy.. Im just not sure for what...blaaah please help. Thank you in advance

  10. Tavotevi,

Look at the US embassy in Mexico info here:

    http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Mexico&cty=Juarez

Look at the link for what to do next, I dont know if it is true that the embassy will cancel the petition, not sure it is true. Read the link and try to see what you need to do next after the embassy receives it, like completing form ds160 etc... I am not familiar with the process in Mexico. For Peru I emailed the embassy and requested an electroniv copy of the appt letter and instructions before the interview and they emailed it within one day. I think it is different for each country so read and contact tje embassy. Good luck!!

Thank u so much!! Im so grateful! U hv been extremely helpFull! I will do that now!! God bless u!

  11. Hello Boris & Kassie.. Have your status on USCIS website changed to 'Your petition has been shipped to...."

Just curious... Does every one get this status changed or only few? Also, if it was received on Oct 02, I believe you should have case number by now.

Hello Tavotevi..Same question as Boris&Kassie for you. :)

Hello :) my status on USCIS is still on post decision activity -_- my case was already received at nvc on 10/8 ...i will call tomorrow and hope i get through! To get a case #

  12. You should call NVC back and get the case number for the I-129F.... if NVC sent it out to the embassy it is great news and you can track it with the link I gave you. I think if you contact the embassy you still will need the NVC case number. Also, I would let the I-130 sit in NVC if the I-129F has been already forwarded to the embassy and then when your spouse enters the country with the K3 visa do adjustment of status just as my wife is doing it right now. Good luck and hope you get the K3 visa :-)

Definetly going with your recommendation! Thank u, i will keep you posted! Calling tomorrow!
