  1. I posted this yesterday because I was feeling totally overwhelmed. I understand that a large amount of patience is involved in this whole process. I just feel that alot of the waiting we all do is pointless and a waste due to a lack of smarts on the part of the USCIS. Then again it's the government and they rarely do anything in a productive manner.

Kind of put out by a comment someone posted. If I had fallen in love with someone from the states, I would not have to wait to spend my life with them. To say that

If you really love your SO then ANY price in time and money is not only worth it but is nothing compared to finally having your loved one with you.
isn't really fair. I do love him. I wouldn't be going through this entire process if I didn't. I only was posting my frustration.

I've waited 33 years to find this man. I've waited for so many other things in my life. I am just sick and tired of feeling as if life is on hold waiting to be lived. I want to start living NOW!

Thanks to everyone who posted such kind responses. I realize we are all in the same boat. I'll be crossing my fingers and keeping everyone in my thoughts for a speedy end to your visa journey. We all deserve to have our loved ones here with us. Wherever here is.

  2. CSC for me...although I started by sending it to Texas. Whose stupid idea was it to send all the petitions from Texas to California anyways? Wouldn't it be smarter to divy them up and keep one place from getting so damn behind? This is taking entirely way too freaking long. You can't help who you fall in love with and it hurts so much to have to wait to be with the one who completes you. *stomping foot* LOL Okay I've had my hissy fit for the day....

  3. It wasn't so hard waiting while Dan was here with me, but he's gone back to Canada and won't be returning until he gets his visa. I just want California to hurry the heck up. It appears Montreal is going to take at least 3-4 months to grant an interview date. I'm not sure how in the hell anyone else has dealt with this. I feel like pulling my hair out and screaming at the top of my lungs. My case hasn't been touched since March 20th and seeing the same thing over and over every time I check the status has me going mental. All I want is to marry the man who makes me happier than I have ever been and get on with my life. It shouldn't be this damn hard. Just felt the need to post. *sigh*

  4. See that is my question. He has the one that is a card that he carries in his wallet and then he has the one they gave his mother. It has his parents listed on it, his birth weight, the hospital, their signatures, and such, but it's almost the same size as the card one he can carry in his wallet?????

  5. Alright all you Canadians, I need help. Dan has two copies of his birth certificate. One is a small card in his wallet. The other is a small card, but it lists his mother, father, their signatures, information on his weight, and such. Is this the long form birth certificate we need for his interview? Also has anyone else had to get a long form birth certificate from Alberta and know how much it will cost if this certificate he has is not the correct one?

  6. Okay so if this is the case, I "should" get my NOA2 on July 9th, approximately. Then we are talking about another 2 months to get the visa?

Just a little bummed. Dan went back to Canada day before yesterday and won't be coming back until we get his visa. *sigh* Just trying to get an estimate of how long I will be without my heart.

  7. Try this from the California Service Center

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status:

Your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received on March 14, 2006. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 90 and 120 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

  8. Received a receipt in the mail today. It's a I-797C, Notice of Action. I am assuming this is what everyone refers to as a NOA1? Also, I keep looking for how much Dan needs to take with him to get his visa? I know it's $170 to file. I've paid that. How much more do I need to keep available? Another question I have is I got my NOA1 from Laguna Niguel, CA. I sent my petition to Mesquite, TX. Does this mean it's been forwarded to CA for processing? The receipt number starts with WAC? Thanks for any and all help in response to my questions. :)

  9. Now we can start the worrying process. LOL The package is at the PO Box in Mesquite, TX and should be picked up today. Still wondering what they are going to do about that one question on Dan's G-325A where I answered None to his previous address of one year outside of the United States. I feel like such a bonehead. I seriously hope this doesn't produce an RFE but know with my luck the package will find it's way back home. Y'all cross your fingers for me.

  10. I went back and read my copies of Dan's G-325A and on the part that asks your address outside of the United States of a year, I stupidly put none. How big of a mistake is this? Will they be smart and realize that he has never lived in the United States or are they going to send this back because of this? I wish I would have seen this post earlier (RFE master list). *crossing my fingers* :help:
