ThX .. yeah .. thats how i knew .. i checked the website today since forever .. then N/A was on .. then called and got the date of interview .. it was double shock!!

Question how do you know that they are working on 18th of july.... my iv packet was scanned on july 23... they also sent me a check list for my aos and they just scanned on august 22 are they really taking 60 days to approved the check list?

I know based on what is shared here in VJ, some are scanned on specific date and get done and then say so while some are scanned on the same date and claim they aint done yet.

and based on trust on word of mouth from my fellow VJ we know what day the NVC is at. (give or take a day or two)

my check list was over in 53 days

they are getting faster

expect a 40 something day i would day

Hi Guys, checking back in. AOS scanned on July 17th and IV on July 22nd... on hold with NVC right now (from Peru, just can't stop thinking about that visa) I'll post if I hear anything.

With the way NVC is stuck with July 3rd-July 11th packages, am wondering if there are people with July 14th-July 18th scan dates.

yeah .. i have not seen any 14th or 15th of july scanned dates so far in visa journey

I still haven't recieved any email from them. This is so stupid that they send false checklists right away and real checklists takes time from them. Such idiots.

Ok I finished catching up on the last 30 pages since my last visit, this thread moves so fast! Today is 30 business days since my AOS package, I called yesterday and talked to Sarah. She wasn't very helpful at all, every question I asked she just kept repeating wait 60 days. I asked "60 calendar days or 60 business days?" All she would say is 6o DAYS, I could not get her to commit to one or the other.

The only helpful thing I got was when I mentioned that I sent in my civil documents before my ds-260 she said, "oh, that's good!" So that was a bit of encouragement.

At the end of the call I got a syrupy sweet, "thanks for calling,and have a wonderful day!" It was almost dripping with sarcasm, but not quite.

I was really hoping to be done by November, but it's not looking too promising right now. Monday is a holiday so nothing is getting done until Tuesday no matter what AustinCanada says (if emoticons worked on my iPad I'd put the laughing guy here!!!)

Oh well, at least I have this forum to make me laugh about it all.

Have seen people with july 3th and July 7th scan date getting case complete. I pray and hope they speed up the more packages this week.

Hopefully next week scanned date July 7-11 will hear some good news. And for sure Nvc will speed up once they are done with these dates. We filed in Oct 2013 where it got the peak time and Uscis started saying they are back logged. Then some good energies made Uscis to say " give us some time we will make it to 5 months target". After we got approved in April 2014 suddenly they said wait for 1month for a case number . When we send our packages in June 2014, something happened ( like a Tsunami) nvc was filled with more and more docs and said " 30 business days". Ok I thought we will wait for 30 business days... And suddenly an email ohhhhhhh. " takes 60 days..."!!!!!!!!! Now what?????? Everytime I wake up I think about Nvc. Think about how life turns. Nature is playing a game. I am not saying I'm unlucky but why these struggles to get just a visa. Sigh. I met one of my teachers and she said her daughter waited for 4 years to go to UK (spouse visa) because there was a delay getting a PR for her husband...I will now try to convince myself....

Well Said Lucky79 .. I filed in Sept 2013 .. worst period time period to submit a petition period for a VISA period .. BIG TIME

USCIS: jump from 5 months to 11 months average time to finish a file

NVC: jump from 20 business days to 60 days

I wish the Egyptian embassy is not following the same slow pace

Hummmmmmmmmm off I just signed into both "Sign in page and Receipt page" they used to look different but now they both look exactly the same. Anyone else notice this? God forbid they try to fix anything and as usual wind up really messing it up.

I called them, a nice woman answered, told me that the check list has two points regarding the filing tax for the year 2013 and employment status for the petitioner.

I told her that in the original papers (that I sent before) I clearly stated that the petitioner is unemployed. Also there was an attached letter that clearly explains that there was no 2013 tax return filed since the petitioner is unemployed.

She advised me to resend it again and use a black pen on all the empty fields that has to do with the Part 6 with N/A. And so I did. Just came back from DHL. Should be in NVC next Wednesday noon.

Maybe I should either call a supervisor, or send an email to nvc inquiry.

What do you think? Will that make it faster if they recheck my papers and see for them selves?

Or should I just wait for at least one week to get my new I864 scanned and another 5 weeks to be processed

I found out last Friday on the phone that I have got a checklist for my AOS package

She told me I would get a computer generated email within Saturday or Sunday.

The email will have the cover letter with bar code as well as all the items to fix.

Offcourse I received nothing so far. I expect them to be late as usual. So I am thinking: well, here comes another 30 frekin business days

Do you think it is a good idea to save time by calling the NVC again and get all the info through phone. and use the original AOS cover sheet with bar code?

Or should i just wait for the email?

Quick tips to share for every one waiting out here, my fellow NVC-ians:

My documents got scanned on June 2nd.

My IV package got accepted 10th July (that is 25 business days).

I called the NVC 12 hours ago and she told me my AOS package has a checklist (after 27 business days) and I should receive a computerized email any time soon this weekend.

Anyway, in case they scanned all your papers on the same date, that doesn't mean that they will respond later regarding all your papers at the same day.

Why? because the NVC has three different teams working on three separate sets of tasks with three separate (but consecutive) timing.

The first team to finish is the checklists team, the second is the IV packages team and the third is the AOS package team since it takes longer to process.

That is why guys who scanned their checklists on June 2nd with my documents started getting CCs (Case complete) June 8th (22 business days)

Hope this info can do good to any body waiting out here

"We received your Immigrant Visa Application; however, we have not received an Affidavit of Support

i keep checking the website ,, no N/A under AoS

i called 6 hours ago .. a nice woman said that they r still reviewing my AoS ..
