Meghan&Andrey got a reaction from CCCas in Rescheduled I-485 interview but just got denial letter?
Two calls into the customer service & it appears it will finally be resolved. The first time I called the woman was transferring me to an immigration officer. I put in to be called back since the wait was said to be 29 minutes. Over an hour later & no call back so I called customer service again. She was nice & put in a service request for me but that was all she said she or anyone could do. Almost 2 hours later I finally get the call back from the immigration officer. After I explained what happened he pulled up our file & said it clearly shows you called the day before but there must have been a time delay in relaying information so it didn't get to the field office in time for them to know you called to reschedule. He said just give us some time to process & it will work out. You should receive a letter on or before April 10th so just give us some time. I asked if he was sure I would get one on or before April 10th because my other option is having to file that form for a motion to reopen the case & the fee for that is over $600 for something I didn't do..he said no no don't do that don't do that. Just wait for the letter. So..we're waiting for the letter. I have cried so much over this! It's awful..

I'm not sure where this goes so forgive me if this isn't the right location. It's been a long time since I've been active on here. My husband came from Russia on a K1 visa in 2015 & we were married in March of 2015. We filed his AOS right away. We had a baby in February of 2016 & shortly thereafter got the interview notice. Our entire house had the flu so I called to see about rescheduling his interview. They guy said it was good we called because if we had shown up sick they would have sent us home anyway. A few weeks later we receive a letter saying his petition was denied because he did not appear at the interview. You only have 30 days to appeal & the form was $600+. We decided we would just wait & file again when we could come up with the money. Now it's 2017 & we are ready to file again but there's issues. Are we still supposed to file the same AOS that we did before? Do we need to start a new petition as a married couple rather than adjust from the K1? It's been a year since he was denied. Will he not be able to leave the country until he gets his green card? We're afraid of the 3-10 year ban. I've tried getting a consult with the attorney in my town but he won't return my messages so I really don't know what to do. We just found out we're expecting again so I really need to get my husband legal so he can work.

    I am so happy to be able to say the hardest part is over & we get to be together for the rest of the process & the rest of our lives! Thank you to all of you who have answered my many questions (;

To everyone here on VJ, and especially those in this regional board, I thought I would share some of my happiness from this past weekend. Katya and I had a wonderful wedding day with close family and friends present in an outdoor setting at my brother's house in Michigan. We could have not ask for a nicer day in late September with afternoon temperatures around 76 without a cloud in the sky. We held the ceremony at 6:30pm so we could set up a Webex for her family back home.
Well, the day was exceptional, and it was a fitting end to an adventure that started a little more than a year ago. Now we can relax a little as we start the next chapter (AOS) in our lives.
Thanks to all that have shared advice and stories here on VJ. Our process was exceptionally painless with very few hiccups (one RFE), and we are hoping the next step will be equally painless.

The U.S. citizen (petitioner) has to provide either a birth certificate or copy of every page of the passport to prove citizenship. The beneficiary shows their's with the packet the send in to the embassy or at the interview.

Everyone deals with things in their own way. While I think you're coming from a good place, you're being kind of rude. You filed a full two months after she did & you weren't transferred. Not sure why you're here but you can't tell people how to deal with the process.

EXACTLY how I feel. I realize we were transferred so it still will probably happen sooner, but this is all so unbalanced & unfair. I give up. I'm taking another break from here & checking USCIS. I'll either get the email & text or the hard copy of our NOA2 at some point. I'm just so over all this. I hope you get yours before me. You deserve it.

I think this is wishful thinking and maybe giving some false hope. While I wish I could say I think we'll be approved within the next two weeks, I think that's really too soon to expect it. Approvals are definitely coming in but not that quickly. There were a lot transferred. More than we know of. And our case hasn't been touched since the 19th. I hope within a month we have news.

I received emails and texts that my case was tranferred on 8/11. I never received a hard copy. Ive called USCIS 2 times trying to figure out where it has been transferred (First time was Monday, second time was just a few minutes ago). They could not tell me where the case was transferred. The person on Monday told me it was my local USCIS office, which would be in NC. I told him that can't possibly be the case, since I know so much from my fellow VJ-ers. I asked for a Tier 2 representative to call me back with more info. He seemed super offended and said "Im not even sure if they will allow me to put in this request." Eventually he did put in the request and he said it will take 3-5 business days to get back to me.
I got another text Monday at midnight with another notification that the case was transferred and being processed at "a" USCIS office, no longer my "local" USCIS office, but still no hard copy and still no info about WHERE we were transferred.
I called again this morning to see if they would have more info. Nope. Still cant tell me where it was transferred. Agent this morning was much nicer, though. I told her I never received a hard copy, she said I probably won't until the new service center needs something from me or makes a decision. Maybe Ill hear back from a TIer 2 on Monday. We will see. Its hard to see all these approvals and not even know where our case is - even though Im super happy for them!
Hope to hear something soon. I wanted to update my timeline but I cant even say where my case was transferred!
FYI - My NOA1 receive date was 4/1/14 and NOA1 notice date was 4/3/14. Not sure which date I should use. Thanks for all the help VJ. Its been much easier not having to go through this alone.

I don't really get why she deserves any "credit". She talked to some mysterious person and got a heads up that they'll be shuffling to help with the backlog. So? That hasn't really helped us any because we still have no idea what's going on. We don't know where we're being sent or what it will mean for our timelines. You're being full of yourself, raven, and frankly I would appreciate it if you stopped hijacking this thread to gain empty praise. We're all here to figure out what's happening to our cases & to stick together as petitions that have been transferred. Sorry if this is offensive but she's rubbing me the wrong way with trying to get praise & attention for something that has no effect on us & throwing a fit when the moderators didn't acknowledge she was "right". I never even saw her original post so her "prediction" sure never helped me.

Time will tell but I seriously doubt it. Processing time will now increase even more at CSC with an additional 1500 - 2000 petitions arriving at their door this week so to place them at the back of the line would make no sense at all. Why would you transfer for "faster processing" and then do that. Nonsense.
Don't believe it for a minute.

I don't think they're going to let the transferred petitions sit for a few months. Their goal is 5 months on all of them, & April is 5 months next month. So I'm pretty sure we are a priority.

It's all relative isn't it? Speedy to a TSC filer is anything under 5 months and if these folks get a 4 to 5 month approval as a result of the transfer rather than waiting the original expected 5.5 to 7 months then that would be speedy (er)...
I think the days of 3 week approvals at CSC are long gone but 60-90 days is still great compared to what TSC has been going through. It will balance out for a while until it tips to the other side then transfers will happen the other way...ugh.

    Hi everyone,
My fiance gave me his account to use so I have been reading and reading.
This will be updated new news for everyone. I was a May filer for the I-129f and also received the same transfer notice as everyone. I received the August 8 transfer to the local office update but received the letter this morning in the mail already that we have been transferred to CALIFORNIA!!! This may be fantastic news!!!!! We are sooooooo excited! I thought this might give a ray of sunshine to all of you or most of you

    1. No offense, but your situation is Canada-United States. For some of us, the distance is literally on the other side of the world. It takes me 24 hours (at a minimum, usually closer to 30) to reach my fiancee.
    2. I think most of us are complaining or unhappy not due to the status of our relationships anyway. It is due to the anxiety.
    3. That anxiety is not due to the time, but not knowing when things will be done. If USCIS said "8 months" or "1 year" and it was consistently 8 months or 1 year, I would be perfectly fine with it. Hell, I had no anxiety until I discovered that TSC was behind and there was a backlog. When I submitted my application, USCIS was saying 5 months and it seemed pretty consistent. Soon after, things became clearly backed up. It has been shown that bad news is less stressful and better for your health than being in limbo and not knowing.
I understand your point, and don't disagree, but I don't think it really addresses the anxiety people are expressing on this board.
