    Thanks! It was. Mine seems to be a fairly straightforward case, so that helps. (Green card, living here ten years, divorced, joint-custody, all taxes up to date, no arrests etc. Didn't give them many threads to potentially pull at. 😃) Was very happy to have the oath on the same day. (Apparently they had to postpone the oaths yesterday due to a meeting that needed the space that's used for them, so those folks have to return next week.) Didn't mention it explicitly. Didn't appear to ask any questions that would touch on it either.

    It's impossible to see inside the machine. When a case goes smoothly like that, it really feels rocket fast. But I've no idea what causes one to go quicker or slower.

    Quick timeline update... 6/23 N-400 application submitted 6/27 Biometrics appointment scheduled 7/15 Biometrics appointment 7/16 Interview Scheduled 8/22 Interview, Oath Ceremony All out of Los Angeles. Best of luck to everyone else on the journey!

    EDIT: I deleted this post. The new guidelines (not the ones from the original poster, the more recent ones from 8/19/25) do not apply to Naturalization cases.

    Los Angeles. I found a thread here and a couple on Reddit that confirmed they do same day there, mostly.

    Is there a way to find out here (or elsewhere online) whether my interview location does same day oath ceremonies?
