  1. All I know is I went to the courthouse and got several certified copies and

USCIS accepted the certified copy, it is blue.

Maybe he needs to speak to a supervisor or go in person to the courthouse.

ok, well, ill call again or go there...but it's nuts they can't tell me through the phone...wasn't there a way to be able to speak to an immigration officer when u call em? cuz those customer service ppl don't know much.....i asked her if i can speak to an officer she said no....but isn't there a way to be able to?

and i wonder.....do all counties in IL have the same certificates, and do they look the exact same.....cuz im from Decatur IL and maybe ours look and are different from where you're at?

  2. I am from IL too and the courthouse issues you a certified marriage certificate if you go and ask, it has a raised seal on it and costs

about $13 and any more are around $8.50. Get it and submit it. Yes, there have been several instances where USCIS will call you

in regards to an RFE. They don't want the license combo you send them.

that's what i thought i was getting from them....cuz i asked for that and they gave me two certified copies....

anyway....it sucks that i cannot find out whether that document i sent them was not in the packet at all or whether it was not the document they wanted....called the hotline and they were not able to tell me that. she said i can make an info pass appointment and find out that way but the closest location for that appointment is freaking 6 hours away. so idk what to do. my husband did call the courthouse and they told him that the "combo" pink'ish document is the certificate....

  3. Hey guys, I have not posted on here for many many months. I finally decided to do it. I have applied for AOS at the beginning of this year. I received my work permit a while ago and have been working ever since. A couple of months ago I received an RFE....I still have not sent it in because life has been hectic and I have been working a ton. I have time until the end of January to mail it to them. Anyway, the RFE asked for a marriage certificate...but I did send that in with the packet...I definitely 10000 % did. That document said "marriage license" but underneath it did say that me and my husband were married, all signatures, stamp, everything else. We live in IL, so any IL people had the same situation? I had my husband call the courthouse today and they told him that the marriage license is marriage license and marriage certificate in one. And that is exactly what I sent in....so i am not sure what i am supposed to do....

other thing is, about a month ago I received a phone call from a man with a very strong accent who could not even speak English all that well. He claimed that he was calling from immigration and asked me if I was Anna....and that is not even my first name....My first name is Katarzyna...He had me confirm it but I swear he was asking for Anna....then he asked me if I had received the letter regarding the green card application...it was just so weird because he sounded so foreign and I thought it was some kinda scam. It is like he knew my case but he didn't at the same time because he had me say things as if he was verifying some information...idk it was just weird but i went with it and he asked if i will send in the document they need and he made me say it was the marriage certificate....i told him that i will but that i did include that in my packet. he said he has it in front of him and does not see any marriage certificate...i asked him if if i ever have any questions if i can call the number he is calling me from and he told me that this would not work because that's a government line....

do they actually call people? what is going on? what should i do? please help guys, this is very important and my future can depend on it.

  4. My husband received his EAD card today, June 20 and the letter states it was approved June 12 but the website never updated that it was approved/processed. We are glad we have it especially since today was 94 days. Wonder how long the green card will take!

he received the actual card or an approval letter... And where r u located? (jw cuz someone said it all might be up to the location)
  5. My husbands NOA date is march 25 for EAD/AOS . Biometrics was April 15. When I check our case on USCIS website nothing has been updated since March. Thus is so frustrating as our k1 journey was long also (Texas service center) . Would love to see how everyone else's processes is going who filed at the same time.

my noa was March 26 and biometrics April 13.sitll nothing. And my k1 journey was horrible as well... They sent my petition to the wrong place and it had been lost until Many months later I contacted the state Representative...
  6. The customer service rep when i called last monday said il hear from them within 30 days. But when i received the email earlier it states to wait within 60 days.

I don't know what happened to our applications, Especially to us who got our NOA 1 late march (like mine March 24). Seems like they just stopped approving or something.

not good... And yeah idk what's going on... Hopefully it will will be figured out very quickly... Waiting three months for a job permit is way too long imo. I mean we all already been through so much, time and money wise... It's all really hard and I wish it all worked smoother.
  7. What will happen after 90 days? What should we do?

I received an email from them this morning regarding my service request which states "Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter."

That's too long. :( it is now my 78th day from NOA 1. 60 days/2 months of waiting again is just too much. :(

damn... So u just put in a request to find out what's going on with your case and that's what they said? I really hope it won't be that long or much longer at all..
  8. I know how you feel guys!

My NOA date is March 16th, I had my biometrics on April 13th and still my EAD has not been approved :(

In a few more days it will be 90 days since noa!

I've never thought it can take soooo long just for EAD.

I was really worrying thinking that nobody waits so long but now I see that I am not the only one

oh wow that really sucks! Makes me lose hope for getting mine approved soon since my noa is late March. Eh.... Why is it that some people that have theirs dated March 30 have already been approved? I like at the time line and stats and it says Eads with noa1s of March 30 are being processed. That's bs!
  9. My noa1 date is March 15th. I had my biometrics done almost exactly a month later. Since then, we've heard NOTHING!!! :( no RFE no approval no "ready for interview" or whatever else other people might be getting. On our 75th day I called them but that doesn't exactly do anything. Like someone else mentioned, it can take 90 days to be approved and when you call at 75 days they just tell you they'll look at it in 15-30 days (and then send an email that says 60)... idk, it's frustrating. I need to get a job soon!! I've been sitting on my butt doing nothing since December!!!! dfikashfkdajghgkj

damn... That makes me lose all of my hope! The time line thing made me think it's close but oh well.. And I know what you mean... I've been doing nothing for months.... And I have to get a job to start helping out with the bills! Everything is so expensive ugh
  10. My NOA date is March 23, had my biometrics April 12, no RFE, still nothing.

oh wow we r basically in the same boat! Very similar dates. I wonder how it'll go.... I really hope we won't be waiting for long.... Ehhh how is it that some of those people on here already got approved? Looking at the time line states so! Is it really all random or what.... It's been like 70 days for me and it says that 73 is average, I think.

  11. Hi guys... I sent my ead and AP and aos packet late March and received noa 1 on March 25th. Then I received a biometrics appointment letter in the mail before I even received the noa1s, lol. My biometrics appointment took place April 13th in Saint Louis. Ever since then, no news. USCIS website says last updated info was March 27th. I am hoping my wait is almost over as the time lines on here show that some people who filed late March already got approved. I also hope that if I haven't gotten a rfe yet, I won't at all. I'll keep you all posted and good luck to you all.

  12. My case status on the USCIS website as of May 13th, says" ready to be schedule for interview ". I haven't received an EAD card or date of interview.

ohhh ok... That's kind of weird! Don't they AP and ead gotta be approved before all that? Did u try calling them and finding out wth is going on? My k1 journey was a torture. These people can mess up things bad sometimes!

Yeah I also filed with the AP and the AOS. I'm just very deperate to receive my ead so I can go to work and help with the bills, lol.
