It is different. K-1 I-129f's are only processed at 2 centers (TSC and CSC) whereas the CR-1/K-3/I-130's are processed at many others. TSC is extremely backed up on the K-1 I-129f's which is why this may be huge news for us. Thanks for your well wishes and best of luck on the rest of your journey

It's called a troll. There are a few on here and he/she probably has no clue what a K-1 is to begin with. Many people get their jollies coming in to a thread and trying to cause trouble. Jerks all over the world..don't worry about them.

This is a guide I am using. I cannot take credit for it as someone else posted it. It is a good guideline and I modified it slightly, but it is also advisable to check your embassy requirements and modify the list accordingly. Good luck!!
P.S You can also click on Guides at the top of this website for more info.
    *********************************************************************************************************************
    1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well).
    2. Send copies of the documentary proof that you submitted with the I-129F for your fiance(e) to have on hand for their interview at the embassy. Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well).
    3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).
    4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all.
    5. You will need several items (for the above form). Gather duplicate evidence of income and resources as appropriate:
    (A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance
    (B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)
Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. See this FAQ for more tips and useful information on the Affidavit of Support Form.
    6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail. (backup information; the embassy will have copies of this as well)
    7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, online chat logs (pick several over the prior few months), etc.. from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 until date-now).
Examples: Copies of land line and cell phone bills, appropriate emails and letters you have sent including the stamps on envelopes (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present.

Well at least one of them was actually a TSC filer. The one from China is actually a CSC filer that incorrectly filled out their timeline. At least there is some action though, so that is encouraging. You are all getting closer. Start gathering that additional paperwork if you haven't already done so. Trust me on this one. I sat on my rear since it was taking so long and now that the approval came through and it is already on it's way to NVC, I am scrambling... It will help pass the time if you do a little each day.
Good luck all...it's coming sooner than you think.

I know what you mean. The journey does move upward every day...sometimes at a snail's pace and other days like a supersonic jet...it all balances out eventually. It is difficult not to look at the list and to check your status online. I tried to avoid it like the plague but it is like an addiction and keeps pulling you back.
TSC is indeed looking more sad (not near as bad as the first half of the year though), but, I truly believe there will be more action to improve their processing soon. I don't think they achieved the results they were looking for with the last round of transfers so I think we will see another bulk transfer in the next month or two. They need better numbers before the end of the year for bonuses . If no transfers, then maybe a swift kick in the bum to get their people engaged in a more serious and speedy fashion.
I will ask that you please don't do as I did and wait until 6 1/2 months before contacting your representatives. When you hit 5 months (if not sooner), start the ball rolling and don't look back. Put the blinders on and focus on your success and hammer those people relentlessly until you get what you want. THIS is all about you and your love. Nothing can stop you...nothing. The long wait is unbearable and at times, you may feel like giving up....I know I did...but like others have said...the approval will come when you least expect it and will knock your socks off....I truly feel punch drunk right now after getting my notice...I literally read it 20 times to make sure I wasn't dreaming...the feeling is incredible. I can't describe the hurt and pain watching others around you and way behind you expressing their joy on a daily basis while you sit and wait well beyond the average time...it truly hurts. I was happy for all the others but you can't help but feel almost cheated or beaten. The joy is worth the wait...it really is....you will feel it in no time.
Keep the discussions going...stay on each others side...comfort, console, cheer and ponder, above all, don't envy others as it will slow you down...the time will pass and you will be there. Trust....this is the hardest part (God I hope so )...it only gets easier.
I am hoping for everyone to have a smooth, happy and quick journey to bliss. We all deserve it.

Try not to be devastated just yet...or at all for that matter. You are only 2 months into the process and you knew going in that it would at least be 5 months for NOA2 so anything before that would be a blessing. After the transfers in August, the pace did pick up a bit at TSC and they are looking to average about 140 - 155 days now rather than 177-190 like earlier in the year. So don't worry knowing you still have about 3 months to go...that is a given but anything can happen in that time. You never know, another round of transfers could happen....the adjudicators could all awaken from their coma's...anything .
Start thinking about what you will need after NOA2 and start gathering required (non time sensitive) documents so you are prepared when that day arrives. Until then, be patient and good things will come. Good luck

I have seen 7 or 8 transfers in the past 2 days now. I am requesting anyone that has been transferred to please post here with your NOA1 date and when you were notified and whatever you know. This is a way to track how many and where they are going. Looks like TSC is finally moving the load around to speed the process up. Great news for TSC potentially!!! Most I have seen are April and May filers so far. This may also explain why we are seeing more Feb and March approvals lately. They may be spreading the piles around to various desks after they send others to CSC or wherever they are going.
*** Please note...this is for legitimate transfers with notifications to the effect. Not for actual CSC filers that think they were transferred when actually just routed. You need to have received a notice that you were being moved to another center for processing. This will keep the numbers more accurate. Thanks
+++ Also please update us after you find out where you were sent please Good luck to all.

I understand what you are feeling. Call USCIS (TSC) and ask to speak to a Tier 2 officer and have them open a service request for you. If they refuse, hang up and call back until you reach someone that will. I would also contact your state congressman/woman and/or senator and have them open a case to investigate what is going on with your case. Anything beyond 6 months is ridiculous...start lighting fires under their lazy butts. Good luck.

It is probably fairly close. TSC is at roughly 5 months and your country really has nothing to do with the estimate. A good percentage of April and May filers were transferred to CSC in the first 12 days of August and most have been approved already. There is a chance they will send another round of apps there to help with the workload but never count on anything positive with USCIS. Plan on January and if it comes sooner, it will be a nice surprise. Keep in mind the estimates are now including the transfer approval rates which dropped the average so it may even be longer. Good luck.

Both of the 10/6 approvals on Igor's list today (June and July) are actually CSC filers that incorrectly filled out their timelines as transferred to CSC from TSC.
April 8th should be fine. BUT, always have a backup plan .

A slight glimmer of hope.....my congressional representative called me this morning to let me know she had spoken to a congressional liaison at TSC and was told that my file has now been assigned to an adjudicator for processing. One minute prior to that, it had been sitting (still) in the general queue pile waiting to be picked up by an officer. The liaison stated they (TSC) are currently working on April filers so my rep said mine was late Feb early March....crickets........"Oh dear" she said....lol. Apparently, our files do not get piled up on individual desks. They pile up in a general area for various stage checks (like an assembly line if you will) and are then picked up by the various officers at various times for processing. That explains a lot about the inconsistencies there. She said she visited TSC last year and was shocked at how completely discombobulated the place is...no surprise there.
So, hopefully I will hear something in the next 30 days or so. Fingers crossed.

I won't even pretend to understand or try to explain the idiotic behavior we see coming from the TSC as it would give me a bigger headache than I already have. We see, far too often, odd and unreasonable requests from not so bright adjudicators that work there. It happens quite often actually. This still does not change the fact that what they ask for, at times, is not, in fact required based on what the instructions say. All we can do is comply with their requests.
