No sam786 don't be worried. What time u mailed them? The best time to mail anybody is around 8:00am so that ur email is at the top when they open their inbox. If u don't get any response today email mr. Jones again tomm. Rest of them don't really respond. But I m sure u would get a response back from him. I m still waiting for any update on my case. God knows what's wrong with our luck.
I didn't get any reply today so far if I don't get it than I will email again tomorrow at 8.. I hope I get a reply soon. Pray for me please I feel so hopeless ; (:(

The background checks, security checks... are the reasons they created by themself to hold your case cuz they dont have any other reasons, I think. You need to email them as I mentioned above. Let see what I got from them few days ago.
USCIS records show your I-130 petition was received at the National Benefits Center (NBC) on May 16, 2013 and transferred to the Nebraska Service Center (NSC) on December 11, 201
USCIS records indicate that, following an initial review of your I-130 case by an officer at NSC, an extended review of this case was initiated. USCIS records confirm that your I-130 case is pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner while also ensuring public safety, national security, and compliance with all relevant directives. Please note that some applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues which delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check process will be completed in your case.
If a USCIS decision or other notice of action pertaining to your I-130 case is not received within approximately 60 days from the date of this E-mail message, you may send us another inquiry regarding the adjudication of this petition.
The National Customer Service Centers toll free number is 1 800 375 5283 or you may access the CIS web site at www.uscis.gov should you have any further questions or need additional information.

I sent the emails to them
Lori.Scialabba@dhs.gov
donald.w.neufeld@uscis.dhs.gov
Rendell.jones@dhs.gov
Noticed in Mr. Rendell, the first email I sent, he replied to me "I will follow up in your inquiry". When I received a response from Senator tell me that my case pending for background check clearance and have to wait 30 days. In the next day, I emailed to Mr. Rendell again. I told him I was confused and frustrated because so many petitions filed in Sep 2013 and some in Oct 2013 has been approved. My case filed in May, 4-5 months before them but still pending just for a reason "background check clearance" ......And you know what happen? Very next day, my case status changed "Your name updated...."that is yesterday, approved today
I dont know those people listed above who would help, because I emailed to all of them. I think Mr. Rendell helped me. Back to April filers thread, LoveMyTiCo said she sent an email to Mr. Rendell and her case approved on the same day at 10:30 PM
In the email, just tell them your situation, they dont have time to read your whole story. Just focus on Date, Processing time at service center, you believed your case was outside of normal processing times...
Good luck and hope to see you in NVC April 2014 Filers
Thank you so much ♡♡♡ I actually had an expedite request put in for my case, and the response I got is this ... do u think I should still email those people?
The status of this service request is:
On 03/26/2014, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-130 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.
We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.
We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

Still nothing. PD may 6 2013. Transfer date, dec 6 .... and still nothing.... WHAT DO I DO
-
I called uscis and they put in a service request for me on March 10.... still didn't get anything..... This is super stressing.....
-
Still nothing..... at alll...10 months 3 weeks someone help me
-
We did two service requests, we did weekly/daily phonecalls, we asked them for specific dates if our case has been worked on, when we would hear back about something, etc. etc.
Did that help? I'm so upset it's been so long 10 months 8 days it's so sad how they do this...
-
Have you done any service requests or anything? If you haven't had a response from them, I would e-mail SCOPSSCATA.
. If I try to put in a request myself it doesn't work or let me get through so when I called uscis the last put in a service request for me & gave me a Confirmation number and said I should get something within March 15/17 & If not I guess I can email them
Anyone have a template I can use as to what to say/include in the email?
Thanks in advance
And thanks to jsumner86 for replying

We e-mailed them last week, and then they said they were waiting for a response, TSC responded to a service request saying that it they were waiting on pending hold for background checks...so then we e-mailed them again today, with a few other USCIS workers e-mail as well.. they told us it was with an officer. We then got an e-mail saying our case was approved
So I say annoy them so much they don't want to see your name anymore haha
Hey can u please help me =/ I have absolutely no idea what to do .. every time I called uscis they told me my case is in normal processing times n I just have to wait..
On Monday when I called there was a nice lady who was finally nice enough to put in a service request for me and gave me a confirmation number. I guess if I don't get anything within 15 days than I can email them with that confirmation number.. ??
I still didn't get a response as of now n my case is still in initial review ..
My priority date is May 6 2013 & I got transferred to TSC on Dec 6 2013.... my 6 days were over March 6th n I received nothing.. && as of now it's been 10 months and 1 week ......
So clearly I'm very disturbed!
Anyone PLEASE help me as to what I can do... I can't take it anymore please tell me who I can call email anything .... and if I should email someone than please can u show me an example template email that I can use...
Please someone help ! I'm so helpless!

I called uscis today & finally! For the first time the girl I spoke to put in a request/inquiry for me.. than she gave me a number and said I should receive something by 15 days... I'm not sure what I can do with the number!? Does anyone know!?
I hope I get an approval soon I miss my husband so much. Has anyone called and they put in a request or something & than gave u a number ?? Did u get an approval shortly after?
-
Sam and Adel, it's worth sending an email to SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov and OLUInquiries@dhs.gov (I sent mine to SCOPS, and Cc'd OLUI.)
Politely give them the dates and facts about how your case has been handled by USCIS. At the least, you'll get a case verification email from SCOPS.
Can you please give me an example as to what to write/include in the email please thanks
