@hari29 is your field office is Dallas-Texas ? I mean you gave your FP in Dallas-Tx ? I noticed your record is in wrong place in the table.
Btw, I am also from Dallas-Texas. Gave my FP 12/5. Next weekend will be 3 months and i am still stuck in FP scheduled status. I am not sure what is going on. Last month i called and L2 officer told me that "my BG check is complete and just wait for Interview". Then i called again last week and L2 officer told me that "i should wait till 90 days after my FP and then contact them back again if i don't receive an update from them. They cannot tell me if my BG is complete or not cause it's sensitive information"
With you guys from Sept stuck in FP scheduled Status, i think i stand no chance cause i am from Nov.
I sent my application to Dallas, TX. My FP was done in New Orleans. I live in Florida and my FO is Jacksonville, FL. I am still stuck in FP status

Hi All,
I spoke to L2 officer yesterday and they are still working on my background check. Not sure why it takes months to do so. My file is still at NBC also. I hope they will finish my background check sooner than later. It’s been 4 months since I got my FP done.
People from Dallas Field Office, any updates?
Same situation here bud. No update yet

Hey congrats,
That's so exciting.Did you apply for citizenship on 3 years basis? I did my FP on 10/19/2016. 8 days before you completed yours. So I am hoping I will hear from them soon.
what is PD?
We are in the same boat AA100. Lets see if something happens in a week or so

and I applied under 5 years rule
you did FP 8 days after me, so I believe you will be put inline for interview in a week.
good luck and hopefully you will hear news even earlier
My PD is 9/26/16 and my finger printing was done on 10/18/16. Hopefully I will hear back soon in a week or so.

Hey guys,
I have infopass appointment on the 10th of January 2016. People who have previous experience of infopass appointment, could you please share as to how I should prepare myself for the appointment. I sent in my application on 23rd of September and FP was done 19th of October. Since then I have not heard anything from USCIS. I booked this appointment to basically get a true update.
Thanks in Advance.
I am in the same position as you buddy. I sent application on Sep 26. My FP was on Oct 18. Still no update. I spoke to an L2 officer and she asked me to wait as there is a huge backlog in background testing. All we can do is wait
-
I applied on Sep 26, 2016 in Dallas office. My finger printing was done on Oct 18. Still no update yet. The closest field office is Jacksonville, FL. I talked to L2 officer and she said that the background check is still pending due to high volume of applications. Which office does the background check, Dallas office where I applied or the Jacksonville office which will be doing my interview?
-
is there anyone here with Jacksonville, FL field office? My FP was on OCT18 and still my status hasn't changed yet.
-
Thats awesome news!
I called and on both occasions I was being told your case will process in 5 Months so not until Jan/Feb.
They were both so blunt I dont think I will call back.
I am happy to know everyone is moving forward! I will try to be patient.
Can someone update the list please.
I am having the same issue. I called three times and was forwarded to an L2 officer. They called me back. I got the same answer all the time. "Nothing seems wrong with your application and it is in process. It will take 5-6 months for the whole process.". I gave up on calling and decided to just wait and see.
-
My FP was done on Oct 18 and the status still shows as "Fingerprint appointment scheduled". My field office is Jacksonville, FL. I am not sure what is their processing time is (actual...not the one on the website). Does anyone have any experience with timing in this field office?
-
Up on looking at all the dates, one thing is getting clear. They only put you on "In line for Interview" one month before the GC 5 year date. If your GC date is already 5 years then you will be put in line for interview. Otherwise you will have to wait for the one month prior to the GC date. My GC date is 12/15/2016. so lets wait and see what happens day after tomorrow

hello everyone,
i did the biometrics on my scheduled date 10/11/16 but my status still stay on "Fingerprint Appointment Was Scheduled"
my field office is Dallas,TX
Please, if there is another september filers from Dallas to share their status. I am checking few times a day, hoping to see my case changes to "in line for interview" and getting frustrated.
I am also in the same situation. I did my FP on 10/18 and still the status remains the same. I am also in Dallas office

Today I drove three hours each way to New Orleans from Pensacola for my Fingerprinting. The uscis was empty and it took five minutes and I'm all done. Now hope the interview letter will come soon. Any one knows how long it takes after FP these days?

Got my FP notice last Friday 10/7. It is scheduled for 10/18. Does any one know how long will it take to get the interview scheduled after FP?
-
No you shouldn't send the checklist or eligibility worksheet. Just N400 form and any other docs asked for.
-
Just received yesterday my NOA1 in mail and the number starts with NBC. Now waiting for the fingerprint mail

My adult son entered the US on a non immigrant visa (has not yet expired) i'm a us resident. He has decided he wants to stay in the US but is not yet ready to marry, can he adjust status through me.
Can i file an I-130 and an adjustment of status and work permit together for him?
How long does it take?
How old is your son? You can apply for your son on F2B visa category as long as your son is not married. This category takes very long time (more than 10 years). You are better off to get your citizenship and then apply for your son. Lot quicker.
Your son cant stay here legally after the expiration of non immigrant visa. He has to return home and wait for F2B to be approved. Adjusting status when you are here illegally can lead you in to troubles.

Hi Everyone,
I am in the F2A worldwide category. My wife will file for me in the next 2 weeks. Looking at the current processing timelines and visa bulletin, can it be assumed that from date of submission till visa issuance, 1.5 years are realistic? Are there any reliable predictions for F2A, as it went current in 2013? Thanks and good luck!
Michael
Of late its been 1.5 - 2 years from application to visa approval. Things change quite a bit in these visas. Some people who applied in Sep 2013 got their visas in 3 months and some who applied just 5 days later waited for two years. Nothing is certain. We can only guesstimate
-
HII am a US permanent resident. I am the petitioner of my wife. I know that the process of getting a visa for my wife would takes at least one year. However, I am recently admitted to the PhD program in The Uni of Tennessee. I would like to know if I can apply for a F1 visa (student visa) for my wife to take her to the US sooner?(As you may know, those guys who are admitted in one of US colleges and get a student visa can also bring their wife or kids to the US)
I don't think many people here understood your question. You are asking if your wife can apply for a F-1 visa while the F2A (you apply as a green card holder to sponsor your wife) visa is pending.
If your wife can get an admission in an University, then she can apply and come here on an F1 visa. But F1 visa is a non-immigrant visa, which means they expect you to return to your country after your studies. Since you already applied for F2A visa which is an immigrant visa, this is a conflict and they may reject your F1 application owing to the fact that you already applied for F2A. But sometimes the embassy officer may be lenient towards F1 than any other visa such as B2 (tourist visa) in this case. You can apply and see what happens if you have money to spend on college application and visa fees.
