Can someone tell me when I will get checklist in email. They said me on phone that Friday they reviewed my documents and I called Monday they said you got checklist when I will get checklist in email.
It takes couple of days for the email to arrive. Make sure that the mails from NVC don't go to your spam folder. It happens lot of times.

Yup. I tried to check the green card status with the WAC number provided for I-130. It only gives the I-130 approved message, but not the green card status. There is no other receipt number I could find. My wife has arrived in USA 10 days ago. I am waiting for the social security number and the green card still.
If anyone knows how to track the green card any other way, Please let me know.

In your first post you said you applied in 2009, but in your last post you said 2011. Which one is it? In any case, They mailed you some documents, most likely asking for evidence I guess. They would have considered your case abandoned.
You most likely will have to reapply if you want to immigrate to USA, which you said you are not keen.

I am wondering about the same thing. It will be great if anyone can enlighten us

Chances are very slim. If you are willing to spend 150 dollars and see what happens, by all means go ahead. Also even if you get the visa, the immigration officer at the port of entry can still deny entry into USA and send her back. Just so you are aware.

Called NVC again this morning, asked them what is the update and they told me my visa is not on process yet bec i am not near to my pririoty date. question is when do they start processing my visa? my priority date is march 2015.
Currently they are processing visas for those who applied before March 1, 2014. Your PD is in March 16, 2015. Still the date has to move one year to reach your PD. When the date comes anywhere close to 6 months of your PD, like Oct or so, NVC will send you the invoices for AOS and IV fees. You also do DS261, DS260 and I864 forms at that time. Once NVC reviews all those and everything is ok then they will say your case is completed and when your PD becomes current they will send all your documents to the embassy where your relative will have the visa interview. They will also schedule the visa interview like one month before the PD going to become current and notify you via email.
Then your relative has to do medical and biometric and then go to the interview. If the visa is approved in the interview, you will get your passport with visa within three to five working days. You will also receive a documents packet along with your passport. Don't open it. You have to give it to the immigration officer in the usa airport.
Hope this helps

I am expecting around 8-10 months from now for your PD to become current and interview getting scheduled. That's just my guess based on current movement on the date.

Your brother has to apply for F2A visa for your wife. He can start by submitting I130 after marriage. It takes 1.5-2 years to get the visa in this category. Even if he becomes a citizen he has to follow the same route as a permanent resident (I130, I864 etc etc). This category is called CR1. Only difference is he doesn't have to wait for his priority date to become current if he is a citizen. You can always upgrade to CR1 after 2 years if the visa is still pending. But according to current timeline you are better of applying for F2A. If he waits until citizenship, it will take three years from now to get the visa (including two years for wait time to become citizen)

Visa APPROVED !!!!! .....Sooo happy. Finally will be united with my wife after 1 year and 10 months. Thank you all for your support

The only way for you to apply for your mother and brother is to wait until you become US citizen. Your mother will come under IR-5 category and your brother will come under F4.
They can always apply for visitor visas and the onus is upon them to convince the officer that they have strong ties to Pakistan and they will return after 6 months (max visiting period). They have to supply documents like house ownership, jobs, assets bank statements etc at the time of interview.
Hope it helps

Send ONLY photocopies to NVC. You have to take the original to the interview at the US embassy. DONOT send the originals to NVC. If they lose them (it happens once in a while), then you have to apply and get the originals all over.

Hey guys, first thread here.
I am an Australian citizen who has recently married my beautiful Australian citizen wife who won her green card in the lottery last year. She is a LPR and im flying over at the end of the month to start my visa journey to the USA.
I guess i just wanted to start off by asking what to expect first in terms of paperwork, suggestions for any affordable and trustworthy migration agents/lawyers, and some feedback in regards to what sort of end to end timeline should i anticipate from the date i lodge to the happy day that i have my visa in hand if i lodge the application on the 30th of august 2015.
Look forward to hearing from all of you and hopefully i can one day contribute all the same.
Hi
First of all CONGRATS on your marriage and wish you two wonderful life ahead. Is your wife currently living and working in USA? She needs to be doing that in order to maintain her residency and also to apply for your F2A visa. Also please be aware that when you enter USA on a Visa Waiver Program (Australians are entitled for that), you are entering as a tourist (Non immigrant) for a max period of 6 months. If at the port of entry, the immigration officer finds out that you also applied for F2A visa (immigrant visa), he can refuse your entry into USA. Also your wife needs to be working in USA to provide you with an Affidavit of Support showing she makes enough money to support herself and you. Also immigration officials are picky about adjusting to status when you are on a tourist visa (it can be done...but can become tricky)
Please do lot of research on all these and ask us if you have any questions. ALL THE BEST

Please help
I am very confused with www.ustraveldocs.com. I registered there. It asked me for passport "pickup" or "delivery". I selected "delivery". Then it took me to "Schedule your consular appointment date" page. But NVC has already scheduled my appointment for Sep 2.
1) Can I change this date on ustraveldocs?
2) I dont see any place to schedule my biometric screening? Is this not required?
I appreciate any help

Does anyone know if I need to register in www.ustraveldocs.com prior to the interview? My PD is Jan 21, 2014 and my interview is scheduled for Sep 2.

Their prediction are pretty close to accurate from past 12 months.
Hope the prediction is true. My PD is Jan 21

My PD is Jan 21, 2014. Case is completed with NVC. Hopefully the visa date will move another 5-6 weeks so we can get our interview in September.

Just saw 3 N/As in CEAC site in my case. PD Jan 21, 2014. Hopefully my case is completed. Got a checklist.
Also confirmed with the NVC that the case is indeed complete. Now we have to wait for the PD to become current. Hopefully two more months

Hi
My priority date is June 09, 2014 and the NVC asked me to send them the forms Ds-260 completed along with all the Affidavit of Support documents. My husband is under the F2A category and I'm a resident, not citizen. I have read that this is the process before the interview because my husband is abroad (in Italy). But my priority date is not out yet on the visa bulletin so I'm confused about this. Do I still need to check on the visa bulletin or does this mean that this is the last step before my husband comes to the U.S? When I called the NVC they told me that they are currently processing the visas of June 2014 which is when my priority date is. So what exactly does this mean? Will he get here soon or I still need to wait on the visa bulletin? We've been waiting for a year and a half already. I really hope we're almost there.
Normally NVC asks people to fill out DS260,261 way in advance (almost 8 months before), long before their PD becomes current. Currently they are processing Nov 2013 PDs. Your PD of June 2014 will become current in like another 6 -8 months. So as they asked you to, go fill all the online forms, pay the fees and send all the documents they asked for.
Also they dont "speed up" this process for any single country. Hope this helps.

Your parents are not involved in your spouse's visa process. At the maximum, you might need to give some info about them like names, date of birth, present address etc. But you dont need any signature from them.
Unless you dont qualify to sponsor your spouse on your own and you need some co-sponsors and you cant find anyone else other than your parents.

J-1 Visa is available for Au Pairs (basically nannies). Please take a look at it

June visa bulletin is out...for F2A its Oct 1, 2013
Can we petition our son and is he able to do AOS
in Bringing Family Members of Permanent Residents to America
Posted
He can apply for a F2B visa, but then he stayed here illegally for more than a year. You need to get a waiver. If not, he will be banned for a year. Also married children of PRs do not qualify for F2B visa. You can apply for him after you become citizen.
And NO, he cant file AOS for himself. He is not even supposed to be in USA, let alone work here. So he cant show his income to support himself. Contact an immigration attorney to clarify all this.
