My fiance applied for a visitor's visa in another country before. Does the US embassy have these records or are they only in that country?

I'm applying for my fiance to come but my grandma agreed to be a sponsor. I'm the petitioner and she is just a cosponsor for me.

It's hard for my grandma to write plus she lives in a different state so I have to mail her instructions and filling out the form myself with her signing it might be easier. Is this okay?
Also, how closely are they going to look at age? She's old.

I'm so worried about our interview. I'm a student and only have a part time job that doesn't meet the income requirements but I have 2 cosponsors. What do you think my chances are?

My finace should be receiving his package from the embassy any day now. Unfortunately I just became aware of someone that was willing to be a sponsor....Because of this, we are sort of rushing. How long to we have to turn in this package after he receives it? I noticed the NOA2 has an expiration date....what if it expires?
Also, I'm getting worried about the financial situation. I have 2 cosponsors who meet all of the requirements, one a relative and the other a friend. The relative is my grandpa but he is very old, almost 90...I'm worried this may be bad...Also, I am a graduate student. I don't have a job that actually pays, but I am a graduate assistant and they pay me in the form of tuition. I also get a large amount of loans to live on....I don't think saying I live on loans will show capacity to support....also, I don't know how to prove that I can support him (cosponsors aside) when my job doesn't pay me directly but pays me for my education. Is there any way I could count this as income? Also, I'm in the process and have been in the process of applying for several jobs.....if I get a job after we have already sent in the package 3, can we bring this as evidence to the interview?
Please help! Thank you so much!

My NOA1 was received March 26 and my case online was updated the 31st. I have not seen any other action yet. Have any other March filers heard anything?
Thank you!

I've received NOA1 and have been checking my account on uscis.gov to see if there have been any updates but since the entry date (3/31/14), there has been nothing...does it usually take this time for their to be updates made on the account?
Thank you!

I have someone to check my mail. What if I get notification while I'm away, or RFE? What would I do?

Hey, VJ!
I have been checking my application and they still have not received NOA2. We received NOA1 March 27th. I want to visit my fiance this summer and since plane tickets are so expensive I would prefer to stay all summer. The estimated processing times is 5 months but I've heard of several cases where it happened earlier...so 5 months from NOA1 would be early September. Is it safe for me to go visit my fiance in Egypt for the summer (until mid August?)
Thanks!

Hey, VJ!
I am a current college student and don't really make enough money to sponsor my fiance to come on K1...When he has his interview we were hoping I would have found a full time job by then so that I could. We assumed it would be about 9 months to a year before he got his interview based on estimated processing times and his country. I just submitted our appliction.
So, I recently obtained that full time job that would enable me to make enough for the requirements to sponsor him, however, it will not start until August of 2015, about 6-8 months prior to his estimated arrival and approval time. I will have 10,000 dollars in the bank though that I can use to help us until then. Is there any way he could still be approved if I don't have a cosponsor and don't start this job until 2015? I can get a letter from my employer stating I have the job and my salary and all.....
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Does the embassy know if the beneficiary has applied for a visa in another country?

No, he applied for another country's visitor visa, not to visit the US.
