I know it seems this will never end, I had a conversation with my father today and he just uplifted my spirit. I'm so very blessed to have the parents I do and I thank God for letting me still have the joy of being with them. Mind you I want to strangle them sometimes hahahahaaaa but hey they feel the same way about me !

Hello to all my old friends here at VJ ...we are all settled back here in America.Things are going really well and we are both very happy .Hubbys job transfer from the Netherlands to the USA worked out in the end. God works in mysterious ways.We spent 2 months living with my parents and have just settled into our own place this past week.
I thought I would just update you all...I am still checking in on the ones still stuck here in immigration hell ...you are not forgotten . Special hello to Soloenta for without here support I would have lost my friggin mind.Praying that you all move smoothly and quickly(yeah right) through the process.

God works in mysterious ways.We spent 2 months living with my parents and have just settled into our own place this past week.

My heart breaks for those in so much pain and suffering nervous breakdowns...I have felt the same way . Just know that though it does not seem like it...this too shall pass and you will start your new life together.I know its hard right now but you can do this !!! You are doing this and it will all be worth the pain and struggles,ups and downs .
I haven't forgotten all you wonderful supportive people.
As for me ...I am still sitting here in the Netherlands but we have plane tickets finally and a date with our new lives together in the USA just 3 weeks from now...May 30th !
So much to do after the approved interview...
We had to put our house up for sale and of course get it ready .Mail boxes,find a job for my husband who is a Software Engineer. We will move in with my parents for a few weeks...yes...praise God my mother is still alive at this point.
This last 3 weeks before POE are like the last 3 weeks of being preggo lol. Time drags and its a pain in the butt . We are about to give birth to our new life in the States as husband and wife...hang in there everyone the misery does end .((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))

YOU ARE HERE!!! Don't let nerves get the best of you-this is the absolute EASIEST part of the entire process. We were nervous too. I'm horrible at looking at details for embassies on this site but I have found there are rarely more then five to ten minute interviews in this visa category and usually around 5 questions or so. They also are almost always very nice and try to ease you. We read everything on here before our interview for the particular embassy we were going to and there were many personal reviews with helpful things to add. It eased us a lot and actually everything they said were spot on. The interview was the exact same as everyone else-same questions. Quick, painless. Most said the most difficult part was getting across the street after the interview around noon (this I can believe of Naples [smile]). There was only one thing that a few over the past year had to go back for (and NO ONE from VisaJourney-only seen from the members here). It was simply a matter of not having both Police and charges original documents for Italy. We had received a detailed sheet with our last packett with a code showing EXACTLY what we needed to bring in and what they received, etc. We actually only needed to bring 3 originals (as per the new rules stating copies of civil documents can be sent in) and to make a copy of each document to give to them as well. Again, this was even personalized so there was no way to get it wrong. I believe you know what I am saying. I also know that everyone here at VisaJourney lives on this site throughout the process making sure our research for this kind of thing is perfect (you know who you all are [smile]); there is no way you are not prepared. NONE. This is a piece of cake. Your case was closed, everything in order. You are done and it's maybe a few hours of your morning then your life is blessedly, wonderfully the dream you have been waiting so long for. Everyone was in one group from the medical the day before with my husband's so actually they were all talking and keeping each other at ease. Everyone got their visa approved that day. Many went sightseeing the day before and after the interview (smile) as they were there.
I am so happy for you; get ready for this to be all over! You will be fine.

I just updated my Timeline and I can't tell you how painful it was to click DENIED worse when I saw 600 days from I-130 to interview. They need a better word for sad and depressed.

Visa shows ISSUED on CEAC....THANK GOD !!!! It went from AP this morning to Issued just now . The relief is immense and I will keep you all in my prayers....I will not forget the struggles that some of you are still going through. Thank you sooooooooooooo much for all the support .

GUYS!!!!! OUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED!!!
I couldn't believe how easy everything was!! We had to wait what felt like forever but the actual interview part was super quick and easy!
I was WAY over prepared, but better that than under, right?! They only asked for our birth certificates, marriage certificate, my husband's police record, the two 2x2 photos of him and photos of us! They didn't even ask for the interview letter!
The woman at the first window was really sweet and said the photos of us were really cute. And the second guy greeted us with a giant smile and get this... when he said those precious words "your visa is approved!" he gave my husband a SNICKERS!
We walked out of there with giant idiot smiles plastered on our faces.
I thank you all so much for your support!! and I want you all to know that I'm more than willing to give any advice I can on any step of the IR1/CR1 process you may be on. Please don't hesitate to ask! All I want now is for all of you to have as easy a time as I did!

I'm here!!! Hello from America! I can barely believe it. Sorry if the format of this post is all wonky, doing it from my phone because I haven't even unpacked my laptop yet.
My wife is here sleeping right next to me and I can't seem to fall asleep but it doesn't even matter. This is absolutely wonderful.
POE was suuuuuper easy. I didn't have to make any of the lines. I walked up to the CBP staff that's always at the entrance directing people into the lines and showed them the envelope and told them I was immigrating today. They sent me to a room in the back. There were a lot of seats but no one there, just two officers. One took the electronic fingerprints and a picture, the other filled out a form for the green card that I signed and did the ink fingerprint on. No questions whatsoever, no welcome to America, no instructions, nothing. Very fast though, it took like 5 minutes. Fastest time I've ever cleared immigration. Now let's hope my green card and SSN actually get here!

So sorry to hear that Patnjac....while I was in the states to visit family last March thru June I had to come back to the Netherlands early to be with my husband because I too ended up in the hospital with my own issue PTSV & PACS arrhythmia's. This process is stressful and the worst thing for people with cardiac issues. Thank God that your husband is on his way to you ....what a blessing ! Take care....enjoy your new life with your hubby

Hi all. Hubby is flying home tomorrow.
He will be going from Ghana through Dubai airport and then to the US. Does anyone know if Dubai is a POE for Usa ?
Also he cannot find his shot record. Will he need that? When he had his medical they looked at it copied it down so I know it's in that report but he wants to know if you need that little paper.
And lastly, he will be giving over to seal envelopes correct? One from the embassy and one from the medical?
Will he get anything back?
