Congratulations! My mother had a hiccup at her interview (early March) and was supposed to come back in 30 days to finish her test, but due to Covid-19 all that was on hold. Hopefully we'll hear back soon. She's ready to complete her test now. We haven't heard anything.

On Thursday May 14th I received an email from my field office in SLC, UT that they scheduled my oath ceremony and today I received an email from USCIS (egov.uscis) that they mailed my oath ceremony. No document is showing on USCIS.gov account yet. Hopefully they will allow at least one guest by July. Utah is in the yellow phase as of Saturday the 16th of May.

Looks like USCIS is opening up soon! 🙏

    Hi all,

I guess I am lucky in Buffalo, NY.  I filed my N-400 online on Sept. 11.  Estimated completion was December 2019.  I did my biometrics on Oct. 2.  On Oct. 4 my interview was scheduled for Nov. 12.  Time to start studying!

    Good luck everyone!

Hi all, just updating my case for future reference.

    N-400 submitted 9/26/2019
    Notice of receipt/payment 9/26/2019
    Notice of Biometrics appointment 9/27/2019
Notice of Biometric appointment letter 10/01/2019 (Scheduled for 10/18/2019 at the Salt Lake City Utah office)
Biometric Walk-in 10/02/2019 (I'm traveling on the 18th so I went in and asked the guard if I we could be seen today. Guard was really nice and went to ask the biometrics person. They said they could see us, but we would have to wait a little bit. It was a 45 minute wait. We got number 36 and they were processing number 28 when we got seated. There was a 15 minute break after number 34. Then number 35 was called and then it was our turn. It all took about 3 minutes to get the fingerprints and picture. The biometrics personnel as well as the guards were so nice. Everybody made us feel welcome and very understanding that I had to travel (I am not the applicant, this is for my mom, but I translate for her and drive her around), and even asked me about my travel plans, etc. Very friendly.

Based on personal experience--from when I applied for my own citizenship back in 2007, it takes 4-6 months from here, to get an interview. Then another 4-6 months for the oath ceremony. It was about 12 months back in 2007 and the estimated time for my mom is October 2020, so 13 months sounds about right.

Hope this info is helpful to all of you!
