  1. Hah guys, I don't know if this has happened to anyone before. But I received my IV fee email in response to my Choice of agent form, and the address that is on the email is not the one we put on the form??

It is my wife's old address what is the point of the information on the ds-261 if they disregard it. I'm worried now because the information we used on the AOS and IV package is the right address we put on the 261

Any one have any clue if this is gig to cause issues.

  2. Yes, it's okay to send out the packet before the IV fee is invoiced. However, try to get it done within 20-25 days as case completes are averaging 45 days and I've seen members getting checklists for not completing the DS-260 form

    Thank You,

i just phoned them was on hold for 30 minutes and the rep wouldn't review my DS-261 over the phone. He was very nice but stated the 42 day spiel. does it just depend which rep people get because i have noticed some people getting phone reviews?

  3. I don't know if they ask CR1s anything different. Make up something if they do. Not sure what the hurry is. I can understand K1s because it must be done before an interview will be scheduled. You are going to get assigned your interview by NVC before your file even gets to London. Make sure you have your shots sorted first. Sometimes it's hard to get into the GP office for shots or immunization record. Schedule that first.

The Knightsbridge doctor may want a report from your NHS doctor if you answer yes about any of the conditions on the medical questionnaire. Exception: smoking, pregnancy. They are basically seeking more information about the diseases/conditions of a more serious nature like heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, depression, asthma, etc, and not a broken arm or ingrown toenail. They will tell you to send them a medical report before they can complete the exam results. Save yourself some delays and take a report to your exam if you have or had any medical conditions or take medications. They want to know full diagnosis, date, cured or ongoing, if it requires medication, etc. Its a letter/report from the doctor, not photocopies of you records. If you are claiming to have suffered from depression, there are some magic words your doctor needs to writeYou are not a threat to yourself or others.

Questionnaire is found in this document http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/iv018a_medical.pdf

Yeah there is no Rush i suppose, I just don't know how busy they will be that's all. I read that interview dates are normally around 6 weeks from CC and obviously I need it done before then.

    Thank you

  4. You need it for a UK medical exam. They give it back, but do keep your wits about you and make sure you have it before leaving. They could get distracted and forget.

You also need four passport size photos for the medical exam. They can be US or UK size.

Thanks you one other thing do people generally book there medical after case complete at NVC or can you book it before?

  5. Hay Guys just a quick question..

when people send in there package which address do they use?

    National Visa Center

    Attn. CMR AOS

    31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100

    Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

this one that is on the payment portal cover sheet or

    National Visa Center
    Attn: DR
    31 Rochester Ave. Suite 100
    Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

this one that is on the NVC website. i realise the only difference is the attn. part.

    thanks

  6. As far as the second employer goes--- it should be her employer on the date she signs the form. It is not accurate to say I am employed by X unless you wait until May to do the form. If she has enough income with job #1, then it doesn't matter if she adds job #2.

Current income is what she makes today, carried out to a year. But you need to have a way to prove that income if the last tax return doesn't reflect it.

    For example:

John smith was in school and only started his job of $2000/mo in October 2014. His tax return only shows 3 months of salary (3x$2000) $6000. For his "current income" on the form, he calculates his yearly salary (12x$2000) $24,000. He submits an employer letter stating he makes $24,000 year or he submits six months of paystubs that show $2000/mo.

    thank you

so just to clarify if the current annual income matches around what the tax returns say we should not have an issue?

  7. Hi guys I have a couple more questions about the 864 EZ

On the residence address if other than mailing do people normally put N/A?

And current income do people generally put what they made last year as its April or is it a rough estimate or monthly total?

also my wife has got an new job starting in may should we put her new employer down as a second employer??

this is confusing as usual!! :-/

  8. Hello VJ

Has anyone got any experience with sending British Military records in to the NVC i know it is a long shot but thought it might be worth a try.

I have my certificate of Service is this all they require? or because my discharge date is not till OCT should i send them a more detailed description of my timeline as i will no longer be required at my post after August.

Also another point is that of Reserve Liability anyone got any clue if you have to apply to have it waived and or who to talk to. i am not sure if they need all that information now or when it comes to interview or if i will get a checklist. :-/

i know it is a pretty specific question so any help would be appreciated

    many thanks

    Jamie
