Tomorrow is my wife's interview. I'm hoping the case doesn't get delayed by administrative processing! They only asked her to bring her passport and medical packet but she will take copies of everything just in case.
-
...only if a lawyer is assigned can you send both together
I sent both together in the same shipment. Two different envelopes in one USPS envelope. It worked fine. (I don't have a lawyer btw).

Just wanted to let you guys know how lucky you are. I filed in July '13 and it took 7 months for my wife's petition to get approved!
-
Checking in . Hope all those who haven't yet gotten an interview, gets one in July!

oy...now my AOS fee is showing as 'n/a' online, after I paid for it about 20 days ago. Does any one know why this is? is this some sort of good news?
I don't want to get your hopes up falsely but for me N/A for the AOS meant a case complete
-
OMG really
why?
The applicant has to remember all their old addresses and all the previous work places along with the dates and supervisors. I finished mine at 1am in the morning while on a Facetime call with my wife so she could review it before I submitted it.

grats!
It's that time!
I'm trying your call back method listed in your signature right now... let's see how it goes!
Congrats!!!!
Thank You! 13 months after our wedding and a loooong journey. I think one is enough for a lifetime hehe

Just a quick question. Is there any problems with having the medical checkup before receiving the interview date? In Jakarta the medical checkup results is valid for 6 months and in some cases 3 months.
Thanks!
-
Jakarta. Now you don;t see many from your country. Welcome (well Indonesia but still).
Yea I know! I was browsing the excel sheet and only saw two others.

Just signing in. I got a case complete on the 23rd of May
-
CONGRATS !!!!
When did they scan in your packages?
Thank you! Around May 02nd.
-
11 Months in and my case is finally complete! Thank God!
I'm stoked that I did not get a checklist

I've never used a lawyer. This forum has been very helpful and is better than hiring a lawyer. Since lawyers take care of many cases your case has the high probability of being delayed even further. Better stick to helpful folks who have already gone through the process since most of them genuinely care about helping
Just my 2 pennies worth.

Take both passports to the interview and make sure the newest one has the visa on it.

Hey All,
Another quick question regarding the tax return for the AOS. Do I send the entire IRS tax return (with supporting docs etc...) or just the 1040 section with the schedule C?
Thanks in advance!
-
If you don't have an A number going into this process, then it'll be assigned when the visa is issued. It'll be printed on the visa itself.
Oh cool. i guess I'll keep filling out N/A on the A number field then.

Does anyone know at what stage we get our Alien registration number? I've already paid the AOS and Visa payments and are about ready to send the packets in but I still don't have a number to fill in.
Thanks!

Saylin, Please update the excel sheet. My application was received by the NVC on 03/12/2014. Thanks
-
I just called NVC for the first time. My case was received March 12th 2014. The guy was pretty much reading from a script. I almost laughed out loud
-
YAY...is this good news?Even though there is no notice or tracking info scanned...the CHECK HAS BEEN CASHED TONIGHT !So obviously the packet is somewhere ?
Do you have online banking enabled? See if you can find a scanned copy of the check online. Make sure it has the USCIS endorsement in the signature area. Best to be safe.

Congratulations!
I see you got an RFE on 2/5/14 & sent it back by 2/12/14. That's a great turn around time. And then they approved your i130 only 15 working later days. You and I both filed at the same time, but my case got shipped to the Missouri Service Center (I live in Los Angeles) where it just sat and did nothing till November. I asked a supervisor to transfer the case to California because I noticed better processing times on the USCIS website, but they transferred it to the Texas Service Center. They issued an RFE on 11/30/13 and I returned it on 12/31/13. I was on the phone with customer service again today (3rd time this year already) asking them what's going on, and of course....they have no idea. So I had them do another service request to basically say either approve the dang i130 or give me reason why they're dragging their feet. It's been 60 days since they got my RFE info back. I'm about ready to write my congressman, senators, The President, The USCIS Ombudsman and maybe even file an i129 K3 and K4 because this is ridiculous. I mean, we're not building the space shuttle here....and according to what I've read from the agent that posted here on Visa Journey, these cases normally can be approved in just 15 days.
Sorry for venting. I'm just fit to be tied.
Hang in there! TSC needs to get their act together. Their service dates are very long.

"Someone" means me. Only one person can edit the spreadsheet... moi
And I removed you since you never replied with what service center you were going through. Please fill in your timeline otherwise I'll remove you again.
Could you add me to the Spreadsheet? My NOA2 date is 03/03/14 via CSC
