  1. Thanks for the reply red pepper. There are no words to describe how difficult the wait is for us to be together. My doc was very simple though. They just asked for another copy of the cenomar from nso showing my father's name. Nso wasnt able to put my father's name on the origin cenomar that i submitted during the interview. embassy picked up said document on jan 24. We just really want to be together already, so so so much.

Oh no! I am sorry you have to go through that painful wait. I know how it feels. Mine was just a wait for 16 days--that included the 7 days I waited for the packet from my husband from the US--so actually it was just 9-10 days with the US Embassy Manila for the whole Admin processing to Issued.

It really just depends on what documents were missing, and the "complication" associated to that...some had to wait longer, there is no real timeline for Admin Processing.

Let's hope it does not take longer for you. I really do feel for you guys, :-( But hang in there! Good luck! xxx

  2. Hi Raven lotus,

I'm k-1 visa and the doc they asked from me was very simple. Nso made a mistake on the original one I submitted coz they didn't put my father's name. So embassy requested for one with my father's name on it. That was picked up by embassy last jan 24, but still AP up to today :(

What was the additional document they've asked from you?

  3. Hi red pepper and all the other Jan interviewees

I wonder what's the update on other 221g cases like Jane21 and Ysiad? I'm k-1 visa and the document needed by embassy was submitted Jan 24, but up to now the status is still admin processing. I'm really wishing we can have an idea when our status will change to issued. My fiancé and I need to be with each other so much.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!! Yay!!!

  4. Hi, here it is, thanks much

If you could update your profile with what visa your filing for, where your filing from etc. it will help the group answer your questions. The example I posted below is the type of information that helps others to help you. Thanks

  5. Thank u Hank. So based on the cases u know, it won't help speed up the process if my fiancé does the follow-up?

There is most likely a huge backlog of applications with those affected by Yolanda getting priority, those not affected get to wait. You will just have to be patient.

  6. I'm done with my interview. And the document that they requested, has been with them for 27 days now. I hope there are VJ members who can share their experience of whether the US petitioner calling USEM would help make the process faster. Thanks much in advance

  7. Hi all, it's been 27 days since USEM got the document they requested. I was told very nicely that they're still taking care of the backlogs that were created. My fiancé and I want SO MUCH to be together already. Are there specific cases where the US petitioner followed up with USEM, where the processing became faster coz the petitioner was the one who followed up? Thanks so much.

  8. Hi tahoma are u aware of other 221 g cases? It's been 21 days including weekends since my cenomar was submitted to the embassy but up

to today it's still AP. The anxiety level is going thought the roof, it's incredibly hard not to be given any idea when visa will come (want to cry) :(

Every case is different. In Manila, it normally takes one week to one month. It took one week for Chinook and me. Hang in there.

  9. Hank my passport is still with the embassy coz I'm still waiting for my visa. Ok will check your link in my computer as soon as I can. I'm just using my phone to access and it doesn't show the links. Do I need to submit an original Cenomar to them? Thanks!

Your passport is ID also ;)

There is CFO info in my link below, along with links to the CFO website

  10. Hi all,

For a k-1 applicant who's still waiting for the visa, what do I need to bring to CFO for the seminar? I found this list below, kindly tell me if it's accurate or lacks anything. Thanks so much ! :)

    1. Passport

    2. Passport Bio Photocopy

    3. 2 Valid Government IDs with photo (SSS ID, Philhealth ID, Unified ID, NBI Clearance, Postal ID, Drivers License, etc.)

    4. Photocopy of Valid Government IDs

    5. Registration Forms (This is readily available there at the CFO and can be filled up on-site)

    6. CENOMAR (For K1)

    7. Photocopy of CENOMAR (For K1)

    Others :

Fiancé(e)s / Spouses Birth Certificate Copy

Annulment / Divorce Decrees of previously married fiancé(e)s or spouses

Death certificates of the ex-spouse of previously married fiancé(e)s or spouses

Photos of you and your fiancé(e) or spouse

    1. Does the cenomar need to be an original copy and a photocopy alone will not suffice?

    2. I only have sss ID and Tin ID, will that suffice?

    Thanks so much!!! :)

  11. Thanks so much Hank, this waiting process is nerve racking and each day of waiting feels like a month, ugggghhh, patience patience patience...

Relax, it will bounce around in and out AP as they review your file, it may go back to ready after that then onward to issued. Even under normal processing, without a 221g, the process can take two weeks after the interview.

  12. Hi all,

Jan 24, embassy picked up the cenomar from NSO. (The only thing wrong with the one I submitted in my Jan 16 interview was that it didn't have my father's name, which wasn't my fault coz NSO printed it that way.) I called Jan 27 and embassy said they will give it to the consul for review. Then on Jan 28 CEAC status became Admin Processing. Today, Feb 4, I called embassy again and they said it is under review by the consul. And when I checked CEAC after a few hours, the CEACs "status updated date" changed to Feb 4 but the status is still Admin Processing. What does that mean that the "status updated date" changed, but status is still Admin Processing? Thanks so much.

  13. For photocopies, I was never asked for any photocopy of passports but just to be sure I photocopied everything. That way when they ask you for anything, u still have a copy of it and they also have a choice on whether to get your original or photocopy, whichever they require or decide to take. Good Luck! you will do great! They just really want to know if your love and relationship is genuine :)

  14. Amen to that Joem22, our God is an awesome God indeed :) Thanks for sharing your experience and the encouraging words :)

We also received 221g letter via email after our Interview on January 13, 2014. We submitted the additional documents on January 21, 2014 via 2go courier and yesterday (January 31, 2014) the Manila IV Correspondence Unit emailed as that they received the additional documentation and referred the case to a consular officer for review. They will notify us if the review was completed. Were just hoping and praying to GO that everything will be okay.

So to all that has been issued a 221g by the us embassy, the only thing we must do is to be PATIENT, have FAITH and TRUST with GOD.

I just entrust everything to GOD because I know He will make a WAY to get our visa very soon. GOD is an awesome GOD! :)

    Continue PRAYING guys!

everything will be OKAY if we entrust everything to GOD!

FAITH in GOD changes everything! :)

have a nice day ahead! GODBLESS us :)

  15. Hi Hank :) Our 221g is very simple. They just asked me to resubmit my cenomar coz the first one that NSO issued, they forgot to put my father's name on it. How many days do u think it would take, coz the cenomar was picked up by embassy from NSO Jan 24. Thanks so much Hank :)

It really depends on what the 221g was for, if it was a request for a document then once the embassy has it they need to add it to your file (when you are next in their stack), review the file once more and if all is well... issue the visa, this could take a week or two. If something more it can be a long wait.

  16. Hi all :)

We're still waiting for our visa status to become "Issued." It would help a lot if you can share how long it took from the day you submitted the document to when you got your visa finally :)

We submitted ours Jan 24 and still on "AP" status currently. Thanks so much!
