That's good to know. Did you do the 3 or 5 year rule ?
What documents did you bring with you ? Did you have an attorney ?
-
Ok, awesome!.
how was your experience with the N-400 ?
-
I appreciate your response nguoivietnam2019.
I guess I will be taking the English and the Civics test at the same time as I am in the interview, am I right ?
I heard that leaving the country around the same time for waiting for N-400 is not a good idea, what do you think about that ?
I appreciate your help.

Good day VJ'ers;
I hope all your journeys are going well. My N-400 time is opened for 5 year rule and wanting to know your experiences recently. I did read most of the N-400 stuff on the site and most of you all recommending applying online and I think I will go that route.
I was happily married for 6 years and recently divorced (7 months). I do have my divorce decree in hand. I do understand that USCIS does not care about the 5 year rule and just wanting a copy of green card (front and back) and a copy of the divorce decree but I was just checking to see if uploading the documents online or if you had any issues with the whole process or maybe any other documents needed if asked? I did most of my GC process by myself and hoping to do this without any attorney help also.
I do understand that they will be asking me written and verbal questions during the interview for English proficiency but I was not sure when am I going to take the big test so that I can get ready for that. And also, I lost the link (youtube or whatever is out there these days) about the questions. If you can assist me on that, that would be amazing as well..
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you and hope you all have an amazing week.
Note : I believe the online wait is about 6 - 7 months, am I accurate ?
-
@PhilLuv, I received the old version. I was surprised myself too but who cares! lol.
Took long enough to arrive.
-
I am a May 2016 VSC filer.
Got approved on 5/8/17. Took 360 days. So, June should be next soon. Their approval rate on May was past 52% last time I checked on google docs.
The wait game is roughly between 352- 357 days then you start hearing something...
Good luck to all of you.

Good Morning All;
I received the GC in hand in 10 days....
just 2 days after "we mailed the card to you" text/email
Good luck on those waiting.

Status changed today to "card in produce" , received email and text!.
Approval date: 5/3/17
Letter arrived : 5/8/17
Website changed : 5/11/17
NOA date : 5/16/16
I think I will have it by the end of the month....
Its coming May filers...
-
@Parisai , you should hear something by the week over or next week (hopefully to my calculations), I know its hard, but you are in that time frame to hear something from them.
Hope that its good news.
Keep us informed.
Approved at 360th day!

After 360 long days (the day of I submit my application) , I got approval letter yesterday. Date of decision is : 05-03-17.
No status or text message or email from USCIS which I really do not care at the moment.
I really believe that the hidden number is somewhere between 352 - 357 days for VSC. So, if you are around that ball park, you should expect something. (357 days since they received the application)
Good luck to all those awaiting.
I will not apply for N-400 anytime soon but I will be around.
Thank you VJ!
-
It will only say "case was received .... " mombo jumbo for a lonnggg time... Until if you get approved I believe.... and when the card is mailed to you.
Good luck
-
I did the expiration of letter which was 5/16
I did not want to take chances...
Its already stressful enough and I might travel overseas next month, I did not wanna be in the middle of all this....

Stamped the passport yesterday (5/1/17) in Atlanta.
Original appointment was at 09:15am but seen around 10:00am due to busy Monday.
The rep was very professional and kept the GC and said that they haven't touched my case yet.
Stamp is valid for one year until 2018.
354 days and still waiting!... I am hoping to hear something this or next week.
Cheers!
-
my NOA date is may 15th. I already scheduled my infopass for May 1st. Just in case, you never know what might happen tomorrow, and while I am there , I can check the status of my application etc.
348 days and counting!!!!
P.S. : I have been doing some adjustments on both April and May google documents online. It seems like the magical number is somewhere between 352 - 356 days to hear something from them....
So, if you are around that ball park, I would be getting ready to hear something from them....
Thats my two cents!
-
I am sorry @mamani86 , I made a mistake, I was soo excited.... smhh... My nerves are getting best of me!.

I told you your time is coming soon.... I am very happy for your approval....
Hopefully May filers will start seeing some movement next week or early May...
